Dems, Media Richly Deserve Their Dismal Ratings

Anyone old enough to have watched the original Star Wars film on the big screen will clearly remember the scene in which Obi-Wan Kenobi advises Luke Skywalker that the Mos Eisley settlement is “a wretched hive of scum and villainy.” According to a new Wall Street Journal poll, this is very much the way most voters view the Democratic Party. Specifically, the survey found that 63 percent of voters hold an unfavorable view of “the Party of Jefferson and Jackson.” Considering the absurd antics to which voters have been subjected by these people, it’s remarkable that their numbers aren’t worse.

The delicious part is that the smug mainstream media have created their own dilemma. By tying themselves to the half-ton anchor known as the democrat party, they are obligated to go down with them, right to the sandy bottom. Even if the main talking heads suddenly change direction and become full Trump supporters, that anchor made up of past propaganda and intense bias will continue to pull them down. "Were you lying then or are you lying now?" The democrats enjoyed have the cheerleading section of the media constantly singing their praises and the media benefited from the inflow of money from USAID and elsewhere. There is no place to go but down and their air tanks are almost empty.

Since forever there has been a "connection" between politics and media. Politicians needed an outside politics voice to support their plans, to get them recognized with voters, and to build their egos. Reporters needed the "access" to obtain the juicy news that got them read/listened to/watched to build corporate income, salaries, recognition, and egos. Note that the seduction to the egos of both sides helped make the mess much worse. It kept them testing limits on what they could get away with to achieve fame and fortune. The oldest profession is noted as prostitution but presstitution has to run a close second. Lots of political and moral failings were swept under the rug although a few bulged out and both the politician and reporters suffered for it. When BJ Clintoon decided he could be sleazy in the WH, the media had to protect him. For the most part, BJ and the media got away with it. Actually, it probably started with Kennedy He was more discrete but the media knew what he was doing. Somewhere along the line, politicians decided that serious criminality was worth a shot and decided to see what they could get away with. At first they mislead the media but soon found that certain parts of the media could be convinced to play along, especially if it kept the dems in power. Then, egos got too big, political and media incompetence grew and they got sloppy. Big things started to slip out along with the evidence to prove the wrongdoing. Several repeat offenders, like Hillary and the media the protected her, became memes. While she didn't go to jail, she failed to be elected President because she had too much baggage. BO, the light bringer, opened a new chapter. He was presented as a blank page who could be created by media as the perfect politician. BTW, he was Black too. ANYTHING GOES! And it did, right into the toilet for both BO and the media. Trump was the other side of the coin, someone the media could hate, partly because he called them out. They almost broke him but in the end, the media and dems were forced to own all the evil they had done in the furtherance of seeking power (a LOT of evil) and it has destroyed them. Not only have they lost their power, but they have somehow devolved to significantly lower levels of functionality. Both dem politicians and media are grossly incompetent and it is obvious and repulsive. They are the walking dead, still shambling around but slow and with parts rotting off them as they go. Look! There's a piece of Biden's brain and that looks like something off of Colbert. Ewwww, gross.

To understand the Democrat’s total disregard for the American people and their complete lust for power you need only one example of many. For four years Biden, Harris, Mayorkas told us that the border was closed, under control and that they couldn’t do anything because Republicans wouldn’t agree to any new legislation. Then we got a new president and boom! The border was closed almost overnight. Nuff said.

#5, things the dems have NOT done to benefit the country: Delayed the construction of the Obama Library indefinitely. Kept that basketball head off of Mt. Rushmore because concrete will not hold up the ears. Did not keep the promise of student loan forgiveness and did not pay reparations to those who could spell the word "s-l-a-v-e" unless you count SNAP, EBT, Obamaphones and free Medicaid.

Imo, the Demonrats and Enemedia deserve much more than just low ratings. It's too bad charges can't be brought up on the whole lot of them with convictions and prison following shortly thereafter. The author of this article correctly pointed out one of the favorite tools of the Enemedia though, lies of omission. I have a friend who is still clueless about much of what is going on over the last several years due to them continuing to watch ABC "News" and "The View". One day I even said the media were liars. This person got upset and retorted, "They're just doing their jobs!" SMDH Some will never be cured of their addiction to the Legacy Media crack pipe.

Once trust is lost it is difficult if not impossible to get back. Even if they change their business models and GROVEL to their viewers and readers, it's going to be a long, hard road for them to hoe. The headline says it all....they do richly deserve what's happening to them; I also believe there is more bad news in their future. BTW ~ who are the 31% who still have some kind of trust in the media? That number seems high to me.

Their problem isn't one of "messaging". It is that everyone knows the message. I look for more of them to become like Fetterman. Democrats go where the power is. It used to be, for them, with slavery. Then Jim Crow. Then civil rights vote-buying and unionized labor. Then academics, elite urban white people, immigrants, and LGBTQ. Now, they have to adapt again.

After decades of promising to correct problems in government and then doing nothing, the Democrats don’t have a messaging problem. They have a performance problem. And seeing how much President Trump and Republicans have accomplished in six months, especially considering Democrat obstruction, proves that Democrat promises are worthless. And, saying deplorable things about Trump and Republicans is no reason to vote for Democrats.

The Obama intelligence community’s claim that Russian President Vladimir Putin authorized dirty tricks to try and help Donald Trump win the 2016 election was based on "one scant, unclear and unverifiable fragment of a sentence from one of the substandard [intelligence] reports," according to a just-declassified report that had been locked away in a CIA vault. Nevertheless, former CIA Director John Brennan ordered agency analysts to use the claim in the Intelligence Community Assessment issued during the Obama administration’s final days – even though the ICA itself noted that how the information on Putin's plans was obtained was “not explicitly clear.”

The largest employer in the United States isn't a Fortune 100 company like Alphabet, Amazon or Apple. It's the federal government − and that's a problem. Thankfully, President Donald Trump continues to slash bureaucratic bloat. On July 11, the administration sent layoff notices to more than 1,300 State Department workers, and three days later, the Supreme Court allowed Trump to move forward with plans to gut the Department of Education. That's bad news for government employees, but great for taxpayers, especially given the Education Department's expense − $268 billion in the last fiscal year − and its lack of effectiveness.

Top officials working on an intelligence community analysis about Russia’s interference in the 2016 election were overruled by CIA Director John Brennan, according to records exclusively reviewed by The Federalist. The records are related to ongoing criminal investigations into Brennan and other top intelligence officials for their roles in launching the Russia collusion hoax. The dispute was over the “key judgment” in a January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) that Russia had interfered in the election specifically because Putin and the Russian government “aspired to help President-elect Trump’s election chances.” The senior intelligence officials pointed out the lack of evidence to substantiate

Not if they still listen to the legacy media. It is no longer debatable that President Trump’s second term is remarkable for its historic and rapid accomplishments. During the first six months of 2025, he has secured the southern border, brought prices down on energy and food, begun deporting violent illegal immigrants, used tariffs to produce the first monthly budget surplus the nation has seen in years, made his 2017 tax cut permanent by signing the “Big Beautiful Bill” into law, ad infinitum. There’s little reason to expect this momentum to slow down in the rest of Trump’s term unless the Democrats win the House of Representatives in 2026.

When Elon Musk started bellyaching about the “One Big Beautiful Bill” he revealed why his influence on the Trump administration was destined to be short-lived. Like most billionaires, he is accustomed to getting what he wants when and how he wants it. He has no patience with the excruciating political process and the necessary compromises that must be endured to produce a piece of legislation like the bill Trump signed into law on July 4. In this regard he has much in common with the late Ross Perot, whose destructive foray into national politics proved so disastrous for the Republican Party and the nation at large.

After being in this business for thirty years, if I've heard it once, I've heard it a thousand times by Democrats. If X happens, or this or that person gets elected, people will die. You'd think this tactic would be reserved for the most extreme of issues or candidates, but with today's Democratic Party, it's not the final arrow in their quiver, it's often times the first one they reach for in order to convince you to not do something. Remember when Mitt Romney ran for president in 2012? This was a couple years after the passage of the Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as Obamacare.

Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani has a lot of dumb ideas. Of course, these days that’s pretty much assumed when you hear the words “Democratic mayoral nominee.” But — though the competition is stiff — the dumbest of his ideas may be his plan for government-run grocery stores. In fact, it’s so obviously a terrible idea that even Democrats seem to know it. So there must be another agenda, and I think I know what it is. Business owners across New York City and the nation have denounced Mamdani’s plan as a Soviet-style disaster. “You can’t force us to pay taxes and then be our adversary,” said Bronx bodega owner Rafael Garcia.

Zohran Mamdani says he is not a Communist. We'll come back to that claim in a moment, but first, let me remind you that he also says he's not a supporter of defunding the police. He calls that allegation a fear tactic and a right-wing smear from MAGA billionaires. But he's called for NYPD to be defunded many, many times. In other words, he sees the reading of his own quotes aloud as something of a sinister lie, or whatever. Look at his assertion in a recent mayoral debate below, then compare that to what he's said. Repeatedly. And publicly.

Along the way, a damning Intelligence Community Assessment was issued, a major FBI investigation, code-named Crossfire Hurricane, targeted the president, and a special counsel, Robert Mueller, was granted a team of prosecutors and a budget of millions to bring the guilty to justice.
