The scandal-scarred independents running for New York City mayor stand little chance against frontrunner Zohran Mamdani — even if the rivals team up against the socialist candidate, a shocking new poll found. Mamdani, a Queens assemblyman and Democratic nominee, is projected to handily win the November general election with 50% of likely voters in the latest survey, released Tuesday by Zenith Research/Public Progress Solutions. Ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has decided to continue his comeback tour after his embarrassing June primary loss to 33-year-old Mamdani, came in a distant second at 22%, while the GOP nominee Curtis Sliwa pulled 13%.

"likely voters" is the key phrase here that gives the Ugandan Communist the edge. The vast majority of New York City voters do not vote at all because they look at the conditions surrounding them and figure, what's the use? Mamdani will win by default because the insane activists vote for all of the lunatic stuff that leftists want, like no law and authority and the right to free stuff without working or earning anything. We can all see it coming except for the people who will have their lives completely destroyed if they continue to live there.

Just a thought, maybe in the long run, a couple of years of Zohran turning the city upside down may result in the populace opening their eyes and say never again.

The NY Post has a wide readership in NY, they need to get the word out…….the word is Serf. That what New Yorkers will become. The very rich (Mandami and cohorts) and the working poor (everyone else). If he’s elected I predict a peasants revolt.

#2, you’d think they would have opened their eyes and said, “never again” on 9/11/2001. Seven years later they helped put a Muslim in the White House and now it looks like they will put a Muslim in the Mayor’s mansion. You really can’t fix stupid. Given everything that’s happening, I truly believe that the left has become suicidal. They just don’t realize it. Yet.

Two thoughts. The Democrats have desperately been looking for an heir to Obama. Could it be Mamdani? There are parallels between Obama and Mamdani. The other thought is if this is the best that Democracy has to give, we probably need an honest competent dictatorship, a dictatorship that stamps out corruption rather than embracing it, because Democracy isn't working.

Trump got about 750,000 votes last year in NYC. Adams got about 760,000(67%) in 2021. In a low turnout election, it's all about voter turnout. I don't live there, and I don't know much about their local politics, but it appears to me that the Trump voters have the potential to save their city. They just have to show up and vote.

That is ridiculous. Have New Yorkers who claim to be the brightest people in the country elect this rich guy, as evidenced by what s going on in Uganda with his wedding, who claims to be a "Man of the people"? He is also a cheat. He lives in a rent controlled apartment where people of limited means should be living. This is a great point that Adams should look into and evict him while he is still Mayor. And whoever is running on the Republican ticket should shout the info from the roof tops.

This doesn't surprise me. The NY Dems may have lost a few percentage points in 2024 but it is still overwhelming 'blue'. Sliwa doesn't have the charisma or policy chops that Giuliani needed for a Republican to win back in the '90s. And many right-leaning Italians have long since fled the city.

If New Yorkers haven't revolted already when the city allows multiple murders because one man with a rifle can just walk in and kill people randomly because they are not allowed to carry firearms, in direct violation of the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution, they will be happy to become the slaves of Mamdani. Officials are bragging that the police arrived within six minutes. Very reassuring, isn't it? A capable shooter with an AR-15 can probably fire 90 rounds in six minutes. I won't waste any more time reading about that slimy, lying foreign import.

It no longer is appropriate to just shrug and say "the voters of New York deserve everything they get" because the "voters" are no longer ordinary American citizens. Just like in California, they've now imported enough replacements from 3rd world Communist, socialist, and Islamic countries to take over without firing a shot or flying airplanes into buildings. And we need to fix this fast! Deport, defund, and true the vote!

ust got back from Salt Lake, where I took my kids to Wheeler Farm in Murray, Utah. Originally homesteaded in the late 1800s, the 75-acre property was preserved and turned over to Salt Lake County in 1969. It was jarring, in the best way, to see a public space so well-run. Admission is free. Kids walk right up to cows, goats, sheep, and chickens. They climb on old tractors, go on wagon rides (for $3), and race through open fields. After a busy morning, we bought $2 Uncrustables and $1.50 Popsicles from the gift shop and sat for lunch.

This week, Keir Starmer and Donald Trump met at the US President’s golf resort in Turnberry, Scotland. During the televised discussion, a squirming Starmer was put in his place several times by the President’s forthright comments on a number of subjects, including the closure of North Sea oil and gas operations and free speech. Most notably, Trump called wind power a “scam”, which was no longer welcome in the USA. Like a scene from The Office, it was as uncomfortable to watch as it must have been for Starmer, who, in the face of the onslaught, looked for all the world like a David Brent figure.

In March, we cheered the news that Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin planned to “reconsider” the Obama EPA’s 2009 “Endangerment Finding.” That finding allowed the EPA to regulate fossil fuel emissions under the Clean Air Act. On Tuesday, Zeldin announced that the EPA intends to rescind the finding, a step he described as “the largest deregulatory action in the history of the United States.” This strikes a major blow against intrusive regulation of the energy, automotive, and manufacturing sectors. The Clean Air Act, passed in 1970, provides that the EPA administrator “shall by regulation prescribe . . . standards applicable to the emission of any air pollutant”

I picked these titles at random from the popular YouTube channel of Charlie Moore, a former Detroit cop who films his drives through inner city urban areas. The Atlantic characterized these journeys as “hood safaris,” implying that it’s racist to document the unfathomable danger the residents of our most crime-ridden cities face every day, even though Moore himself is black. I challenge anyone to watch just one of these videos and not instead ask: How have we allowed parts of cities like Chicago to become more dangerous than actual war zones?

As my colleague Ward Clark reported earlier, it was a big day for the Republican-controlled General Assembly in North Carolina, with the House and Senate overriding Democrat Gov. Josh Stein's veto of HB 805, a bill that, among other things, codifies the definition of man and woman in state law. What's especially interesting here is that, unlike in the Senate, which has a veto-proof supermajority, the House is short one vote courtesy of the 2024 elections. But one House Democrat, Rep. Nasif Majeed, voted along with Republicans to override the veto, saying afterwards, "I had some moral issues about that and I had to lean on my values."

Zohran Mamdani, who was born in Uganda and became an American citizen just seven years ago, is a cautionary tale of the dangers of third-world Muslim immigration. Despite having benefited from the American dream, all he can seem to do is advocate for anti-American ideology.
