After being in this business for thirty years, if I've heard it once, I've heard it a thousand times by Democrats. If X happens, or this or that person gets elected, people will die. You'd think this tactic would be reserved for the most extreme of issues or candidates, but with today's Democratic Party, it's not the final arrow in their quiver, it's often times the first one they reach for in order to convince you to not do something. Remember when Mitt Romney ran for president in 2012? This was a couple years after the passage of the Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as Obamacare.

If the President kept the Suit on display for the remainder of the campaign, he would have won 48 states and 4 extra Reps and two Senators.

Mamdani’s grocery scheme is foolish
— but there’s method to the madness

Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani has a lot of dumb ideas. Of course, these days that’s pretty much assumed when you hear the words “Democratic mayoral nominee.” But — though the competition is stiff — the dumbest of his ideas may be his plan for government-run grocery stores. In fact, it’s so obviously a terrible idea that even Democrats seem to know it. So there must be another agenda, and I think I know what it is. Business owners across New York City and the nation have denounced Mamdani’s plan as a Soviet-style disaster. “You can’t force us to pay taxes and then be our adversary,” said Bronx bodega owner Rafael Garcia.

Zohran Mamdani says he is not a Communist. We'll come back to that claim in a moment, but first, let me remind you that he also says he's not a supporter of defunding the police. He calls that allegation a fear tactic and a right-wing smear from MAGA billionaires. But he's called for NYPD to be defunded many, many times. In other words, he sees the reading of his own quotes aloud as something of a sinister lie, or whatever. Look at his assertion in a recent mayoral debate below, then compare that to what he's said. Repeatedly. And publicly.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will travel to the United States next week to meet with President Donald Trump and key members of his Cabinet, his office announced Tuesday. “These (meetings) come in the wake of the great victory that we achieved in Operation Rising Lion,” Netanyahu said at the start of a government meeting. Netanyahu said Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth are also included in the talks. Netanyahu to travel to US for meetings with Trump, Vance

As has often been said, the corporate press are nothing if not a predictable lot, and that has certainly been the case in the aftermath of Democrat Socialist Zohran Mamdani's apparent Democrat mayoral primary victory in New York City, with the swooning commencing even before former NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo conceded defeat. We reported earlier, for instance, on how definitive proof existed well before the primary took place that the left's/MSM's latest "flavor of the month" was a genuine communist. And yet, instead of focusing on how troublesome it was that the guy who wants to be mayor of one of America's most iconic cities essentially wanted to destroy it,

Two weeks ago I wrote about the Antifa riot that took place outside a Portland ICE facility. Here's a bit of what that looked like.(Snip) Three people were arrested but since then things haven't calmed down. Last Tuesday there were more arrests, including one woman who was charged with a felony for throwing a large knife at ICE agents who approached her as she was trying to light some kind of incendiary device. Julie Winters, 46, was one of three people arrested Tuesday during ongoing demonstrations at the South Portland office to protest President Trump’s immigration policies...

Last Friday’s Supreme Court ruling in Trump v. CASA finally ended what many of the President’s supporters saw as a “judicial insurrection.” Upon assuming office, President Trump issued a number of executive orders involving a variety of issues. They were immediately challenged by lawsuits filed in a select group of district courts, virtually all of which issued universal injunctions that seriously impeded implementation of the President’s agenda. Such injunctions have long been criticized by numerous legal scholars and several members of the U.S. Supreme Court, including Justice Kagan.

President Trump may be a second-term president now, but he hasn’t lost his penchant for surprising critics and supporters alike. No one could be sure what he would do about the Israel-Iran war. Had he played a role in setting it up, by duping the Iranians into believing he wanted to strike a “deal” to arrest their nuclear-weapons program? Or was he negotiating in good faith and blindsided by Israel? Would he involve America in the war or not? And if he did, would regime change in Tehran be his goal?

For the last two weeks, the Protection Racket Media has salivated over the "civil war" in MAGAworld over Donald Trump's handling of the Iran-Israel war. Media orgs have made any debate among Republicans over the options into a sign that Trump's support would soon collapse, and that his political leverage would dissipate with it. We have heard more about Thomas Massie in two weeks than we've heard about any one non-leadership congressman not named Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in months.

We began last week with the lingering effects of the neutered “No Kings” protests, which must be considered to have been effective; we have no king in the country! As the week wore on there were a number of petty and bitter news items emerging, all done to throw more criticisms at the Trump administration. Then of course it culminated in the bombing mission in Iran, which we all knew would deliver dysfunctional reporting and reactions. So let’s tug on the hip waders and begin trudging through the swamp that is our media complex and determine who took top (bottom) honors this week.

Joe Biden has always been a fabulist. Since he first stepped onto the national stage, he has woven myths about his life. Joe needed the gravitas of good grades and a solid academic background to move up the ladder of national politics, so he invented a student who never existed. Joe threatened to fight a man who asked about his academic chops and claimed he went to law school on “a full academic scholarship.” Except, he didn’t. He claimed he had three degrees from college. Except, he doesn't. He claimed he was in the “top half” of his law school class. Nope. He was in the “steerage” section

Just one day after House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wrapped up his self-indulgent “magic minute” marathon, the truth is starting to surface: Even many Democrats weren’t impressed. His hours-long fauxibuster—meant to stall the inevitable passage of the GOP’s One Big, Beautiful Bill—ended up accomplishing absolutely nothing for the Democrats’ cause. The only minds that were changed were Republicans who flipped from “no” to “yes.” Let’s not kid ourselves. This wasn’t some bold act of resistance or savvy legislative tactic. It was performative grandstanding, plain and simple—a desperate attempt to look like he’s fighting while doing absolutely nothing to stop the bill. [Video] The bill passed 218-214

One year from now, you will not be able to turn around without receiving notice of America’s semiquincentennial jubilee. The jollity of the occasion will not change the fact that it will be seven years premature. The historical significance assigned to July 4, 1776, the date the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Second Continental Congress, is befuddling. Without victory in the Revolutionary War, which began over a year earlier, any declarations regarding American independence made during the summer of 1776 would have the same significance today as the “declarations of independence” made by the 11 Confederate States in 1860-61.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of California has filed a class-action lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), demanding an immediate halt to what it describes as “unlawful immigration raids” across the Los Angeles area. The left-leaning nonprofit accuses the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of carrying out unconstitutional raids and targeting “migrants with brown skin.” The plaintiffs allege that DHS and ICE have carried out unconstitutional arrests in order to meet arrest quotas allegedly set out on June 6 by the Trump administration. The suit specifically claims that officials have based arrests and detentions on race and ethnicity with no articulable reasonable suspicion.

Donald Trump has never been one to shy away from a fight, but this time, he’s done more than just rattle the Democrats—he’s practically handed Republicans the keys to a midterm landslide in 2026. The playbook was simple, the execution flawless, and the results devastating for the opposition. Here’s what happened. When Zohran Mamdani, the antisemitic socialist, won the Democratic primary for mayor of New York City, many Democrats were less than thrilled. Last month, the Associated Press reported that his victory “exposed anew the fiery divisions plaguing the Democratic Party as it struggles to repair its brand nearly half a year into Donald Trump’s presidency.” Many progressives cheered

WINDSOR HEIGHTS, Iowa — It is big and it is beautiful, President Donald Trump says. But for many Democratic leaders, the tax break and spending cut package passed by Trump’s Republican allies in Congress on Thursday represents the key to the Democratic Party’s resurgence. Last week I visited New York City, a place that for generations has represented the magnificence of the American experiment. The economic dynamism of Wall Street, the fine arts of Broadway, and the sports sanctuaries of Madison Square Garden and Yankee Stadium have all made the city exceptional. My early-morning walks downtown along the Hudson River, with the Statue of Liberty in sight, reminded me why America is a beacon of opportunity for people from every corner of the world — including my grandparents, who came to escape religious persecution in Eastern Europe. But as I returned home to Auburn, Ala., I learned New York Democrats had chosen Zohran Mamdani,
