3 Takeaways From The U.S. Bombing Of Iran’s

Saturday’s Operation Midnight Hammer, bombing Iran’s three most significant nuclear sites, proves that all the talk of America’s decline is merely wishful thinking from our adversaries. Just days before the bombing, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, proclaimed that the U.S. is on a path of “inevitable” decline, similar to other fallen empires throughout history. This same narrative — that “the East is rising while the West is declining” — has been propagated by Xi since 2020. Yet, the bombing of Iran demonstrates that America is far from declining. The Federal government needs to get it's finances under control or we're 'Eff'd'. Right now the Interest on the national debt is costing more than the cost of the entire military, and we're going deeper into debt every day. As I understand it, once the '$35-to-an-ouce-of-gold' peg was removed (in 1973), the Dollar has been a 'fiat' currency, it's value determined by government fiat, or declaration. The value of the Dollar has been steadily going down ever since. Right now the price of gold is $3345 per ounce. Using gold as the standard, the dollar is worth what..... roughly 1/100 of what it was what.... 52 years ago? This has happened every time a 'fiat' currency has been tried. It has ended in Disaster. Every. Single. Time.

Yes, our military is top notch and very effective but the internal decline in this country can not be denied. We just enjoyed a major success but let's not forget the weeks of violence, car-burning and rioting that we allowed to happen. Xi is not wrong.

Right-wing pundit Tucker Carlson suggested that the US should contemplate nuking Iran if allegations are true that the theocratic regime has been conspiring to assassinate President Trump, during a fiery two-hour debate with Sen. Ted Cruz. Carlson scoffed at Cruz (R-Texas) for confirming to him that Tehran has conspired to kill Trump and argued in disbelief that if those accusations are real, the US needs to respond with military force. “This just seems like a huge headline and you’re acting like everyone knows this. I didn’t know that,” responded Carlson after having needled the Texas
'TACO' is an awful political slogan, and

Democrats are trying to make “TACO” — or “Trump always chickens out”— a new political slogan to get under the president’s skin. But it is not as clever a quip as they think it is, and it creates a perverse incentive for Trump to push the red buttons they don’t want him to push. (snip) it is straightforwardly wrongheaded as a political slogan. Why on Earth would Democrats dare Trump to follow through on his most extreme tariff threats? If this slogan were to really work, (snip)it would nudge him and his allies to cling more tightly to the most extreme versions of Trump’s bad economic policies.

Marc Thiessen commented on the Trump administration's new strategy for dealing with sanctuary cities on this week's "FOX News Sunday" panel: (snip) Donald Trump has beaten the Democrats, powered by illegal immigration, and they still can’t seem to get it right. You have people literally burning cars, throwing rocks at ICE agents, and the Democrats are siding with the protesters over the administration trying to restore law and order. And what has the left riled up, and what’s causing all this, is that the Trump administration has figured out a way around sanctuary city laws.

Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer that is “characterized by a Gleason score of 9,” his office revealed in a statement Sunday. (Snip) “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,” the press release said. “On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone. While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.” “The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians,” the statement added.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand  — For more than a decade, passengers at New Zealand ’s Wellington Airport have boarded flights below the figures of two giant, hovering eagles from the Hobbit films, one bearing a bellowing wizard Gandalf. With 50-foot (15-meter) wingspans and weighing 2,600 pounds (1.1 ton) each, the sculptures that hover in the terminal have delighted tourists and scared children since 2013. Their tenure was eventful — one became unmoored from its fixings during a severe earthquake in 2016, and plummeted onto the terminal floor below. No one was hurt. But this month the majestic creatures,

Donald Trump's decision to impose new tariffs on all goods entering the US is a "major blow to the world economy", European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen has said. Her comments echo those of a number of other countries, including China, which has expressed its opposition to the move and has warned it will take "resolute countermeasures" against the US. Their words of warning come after the US president announced a universal 10% tariff on all imports into the US from 5 April. Around 60 countries will also be hit with steeper tariffs from 9 April.

James Finlayson failed to make it as a leading man in Hollywood but became one of the most memorable comic foils ever to grace the silver screen. The Scottish actor performed in more than 100 films but was best known for being the "third man" to Laurel and Hardy. With his distinctive fake moustache, he starred with the iconic duo in 33 of their films and later became the inspiration for Homer Simpson's "D'oh!" catchphrase. Now Finlayson has been memorialised with a new portrait in the Scottish theatre where he first trod the boards more than a century ago.

This is a fair question from Matt Continetti, who recites some of the relevant quotations before posing it. I'll add to the list. President Bill Clinton described a nuclearlzed Iran as intolerable and signed the Iran Nonproliferation Act of 2000, "which authorize[d] him to take punitive action against individuals or organizations known to be providing material aid to weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs in Iran." President George W. Bush intoned in 2008 that "permitting the world’s leading sponsor of terror to possess the world’s deadliest weapon would be an unforgivable betrayal of future generations."

Zohran Mamdani, winner of the Democratic Party’s New York City mayoral primary, is overflowing with Marxist ideas of how to govern that are so lousy that it’s hard to believe he got more than his own vote in Tuesday’s election. Each of them is horrendous, from free bus services to rent control to punitive taxes on those who create prosperity, but none are quite so laughable as his proposal to establish a chain of city-run grocery stores. Mamdani’s campaign literature – overflowing with empty leftist jargon – says if elected he “will create a network of city-owned grocery stores focused on keeping prices low, not making a profit.”

Enjoying a surge of support from progressive and younger voters, democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani is a big step closer to becoming the first Muslim mayor of the nation's most populous city. While the Associated Press had yet to project a winner in New York City's Democratic Party mayoral primary Tuesday night, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo saw the writing on the wall, telling supporters at an election night gathering that Mamdani "won." Mamdani, a 33-year-old state assembly member from Queens who is originally from Uganda, topped the former three-term governor and nine other candidates in a crowded primary field in an election that was determined by ranked-choice voting.

The Iranian foreign ministry admitted that their nuclear facilities were “badly damaged” by U.S. strikes over the weekend after reports surfaced about a low-confidence U.S. intelligence assessment suggesting otherwise. Numerous outlets reported Wednesday on an early intelligence assessment from the Defense Intelligence Agency suggesting the U.S. strikes only set Iran’s nuclear program back a few months. The White House strongly disputed the intelligence assessment and criticized the leakers within the intelligence apparatus. “This alleged ‘assessment’ is flat-out wrong and was classified as ‘top secret’ but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community.

CNN last week got their hands on a classified document stolen from the National Security Agency. That’s a felony punishable by ten years in prison, by the way. The stolen document guessed that the efforts by Israel and America to neutralize Iran’s nuclear weapon program had set back the program by only “a few months.” CNN and the rest of the media cabal could hardly contain their glee. They celebrated the failure of America and Israel. Hardly mentioned in CNN’s report was that the document itself noted that its conclusions were merely “preliminary” and were expressed with only “low confidence.”

The Sunshine State is rolling out a new approach that’s as tough as it is practical: setting up a string of detention centers specifically for illegal immigrants with criminal records. The centerpiece of this initiative is a facility tucked deep in the Everglades, built on the bones of an abandoned airfield, and already earning an unforgettable nickname from state officials: “Alligator Alcatraz.” The name isn’t just for show.
