Joe Biden Diagnosed with Prostate Cancer

Original Article

Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer that is “characterized by a Gleason score of 9,” his office revealed in a statement Sunday. (Snip) “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms,” the press release said. “On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone. While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.” “The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians,” the statement added.

Comments:

Mixture of pity because of the pain, but also anger that this family thought he was healthy enough to "reign" four more years.

This makes no sense. Presidents and Past Presidents have access to the best medical care in the world. If he was seeing a doctor as often as I suspect he probably was, the prostate cancer should have been detected long before it metastasized to his bones. He would have been having PSA tests too that should have indicated a problem quite some time ago.

I'm sure they knew about it for years. They are just now announcing it because it wont get him an article 25. I'm having trouble getting worked up about it. No amount of suffering will atone for the suffering and corruption he brought to our country. I'm just glad he wont be able to buy or coerce his way out of this.

The timing is just too coincidental. Nobody had better medical care the past four years than the President of the United States. Nobody. A cancer this advanced just shows up now? How convenient. Like it just showed up in the past week?

Quite a coincidence that Biden’s cancer diagnosis popped up publicly just when the wimpy congressional Republicans claim that they are going to investigate what unelected Democrat activists who were hiding Biden’s cognitive decline, were actually running the country during Biden’s time in the White House, and were actually operating Biden’s apparently two so-called auto-pens to sign Biden’s signature on official documents. Those investigations should continue as it was clear to see that when Biden was in the White House that he did not know which was was up most of the time, along with the fact that those investigations were not actually targeting Biden, but unelected leftist and progressive Democrat aides and others who operated throughout the White House during the Biden years. Those are the people who should be held accountable for any wrongdoing that those coming investigations uncover.

I was treated with early-stage Prostate Cancer last year at age 63 after a PSA of 5, 5 and then 8 over a 18 month time period. Gleason score of 7 (3+4). Biopsy showed cancer was within the Prostate lining. Had MRI, biopsy, and two PET scans. After weeks of testing, had 28 working days of radiation. I choose not to have surgery. After treatment, three PSA tests indicate markers are "undetectable", Point is that the process took almost two years. Hard to believe this is a sudden event.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand  — For more than a decade, passengers at New Zealand ’s Wellington Airport have boarded flights below the figures of two giant, hovering eagles from the Hobbit films, one bearing a bellowing wizard Gandalf. With 50-foot (15-meter) wingspans and weighing 2,600 pounds (1.1 ton) each, the sculptures that hover in the terminal have delighted tourists and scared children since 2013. Their tenure was eventful — one became unmoored from its fixings during a severe earthquake in 2016, and plummeted onto the terminal floor below. No one was hurt. Donald Trump's decision to impose new tariffs on all goods entering the US is a "major blow to the world economy", European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen has said. Her comments echo those of a number of other countries, including China, which has expressed its opposition to the move and has warned it will take "resolute countermeasures" against the US. Their words of warning come after the US president announced a universal 10% tariff on all imports into the US from 5 April. Around 60 countries will also be hit with steeper tariffs from 9 April.

James Finlayson failed to make it as a leading man in Hollywood but became one of the most memorable comic foils ever to grace the silver screen. The Scottish actor performed in more than 100 films but was best known for being the "third man" to Laurel and Hardy. With his distinctive fake moustache, he starred with the iconic duo in 33 of their films and later became the inspiration for Homer Simpson's "D'oh!" catchphrase. Now Finlayson has been memorialised with a new portrait in the Scottish theatre where he first trod the boards more than a century ago.

First, my sympathies for the Biden family. I’ve been there. Now, here’s my puzzlement. Prostate cancer is notoriously slow-growing. Although prostate cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer deaths among men (second to only lung cancer), that’s not because it’s so deadly, but because it’s so common. It’s a fact that more men die with prostate cancer than of it. Of those who die, the typical mechanism of death is by the cancer cells metastasizing to other organs and/or to the bones. It takes years for that to happen – typically something like 5-10 years even without treatment, and even longer with treatment.
