Enjoying a surge of support from progressive and younger voters, democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani is a big step closer to becoming the first Muslim mayor of the nation's most populous city. While the Associated Press had yet to project a winner in New York City's Democratic Party mayoral primary Tuesday night, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo saw the writing on the wall, telling supporters at an election night gathering that Mamdani "won." Mamdani, a 33-year-old state assembly member from Queens who is originally from Uganda, topped the former three-term governor and nine other candidates in a crowded primary field in an election that was determined by ranked-choice voting.

Please do not move to other better run states bringing your tired, corrupt, and radical liberal polices (even if slightly less so) with you. Accept high taxes, radical policies, and corrupt politicians as your lot in life; stay to accept you poor choices.

Has anyone there ever heard of a place called Chicago? $30 an hour for minimum wage with $25 going back to the city in taxes. Enjoy your freebies. You will quickly find out they are not free. Perhaps NYC will have to suffer Mamdani to see the need for another Giuliani, or to, at least, care enough to actually take a stand to correct their situation. I pray they come to their senses before that happens.

Winners and Losers of the 12-Day Israel–Iran War 1 reply

“War is thus an act of force to compel our enemy to do our will.” — Carl von Clausewitz. War is not chaos. It is the deliberate application of force in pursuit of political objectives. Every modern conflict must be judged according to those objectives. In the 12-day war between Israel and Iran, three major actors pursued distinct goals: Israel, Iran, and the United States. Based on what can be objectively and openly assessed, Israel and the United States achieved overwhelming success at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels. Iran, while executing limited retaliation, suffered a decisive defeat.

In reality, they are just different systems within the same organism, similar to how eyes, ears, and legs are all part of a human body. They have different roles and functions, but all are subordinate to the same overarching goal: total power.

This is a fair question from Matt Continetti, who recites some of the relevant quotations before posing it. I'll add to the list. Each of them is horrendous, from free bus services to rent control to punitive taxes on those who create prosperity, but none are quite so laughable as his proposal to establish a chain of city-run grocery stores.
