Tucker Carlson, the TV personality who currently enjoys an enormous gap between the size of his audience and his intellectual abilities, has decided to declare war on the Trump administration for the sin of taking Iran’s nuclear ambitions seriously. President Donald Trump hit back with a post on Truth Social saying “Somebody please explain to kooky Tucker Carlson that, ‘IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!” Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene jumped in with Carlson saying, “Anyone slobbering for the U.S. to become fully involved in the Israel/Iran war is not America First/MAGA.” The mainstream media is loving all this

It is disappointing to hear Carlson and Green have knee jerk responses to the situation. Of course they may be right, that Iran is only seeking regional destruction through conventional means. Somehow, I don't believe that. But, as this article states, we don't know and should keep an open mind. In the meantime, I am comfortable (i) that MAGA principles embrace the idea that Iran cannot have a nuke, and (ii) that Trump is not Bush in 2002 and will not invade or its equivalent. Should Iran collapse, surely we have at least as many agent provocateurs on the ground there as the Deep State did on Jan 6 at the Capitol .... of course, maybe that's a problem.

Any nuclear power in the hands of Islamic fundamentalists is anathema to civilization far beyond Israel and the Great Satan (USA). These religious people are too much danger even without a nuclear weapon as being proven everyday in Europe and the UK. Letting them wield even a dirty bomb of enriched uranium would be phenomenally stupid to all of the West even if hand delivered without a missile. Tucker has gone nuts or maybe now that he is wealthy we are seeing his true self. Either way this fan isn't a fan any more.

I for one would sleep better at night know that Iran did not have nuclear weapons. More so, not even for an energy source. Give them two sticks to rub together until the insane people running the country are no more. To me, it has nothing to do with Israel and everything to do with those who are in power want us dead. How that's accomplished is secondary to destroying all means of them have nuclear weapons. I stand with President Trump. maybe we need to show those in power they are within our reach. Send them a box of chocolates or something.

Tucker seems to miss several points including Islamic terrorists who will strap bombs on themselves don't think like you and me, and Islamic Republic of Iran has viewed the U.S. as an enemy since its inception and has killed over a thousand Americans, from blowing up the marine barracks in Lebanon, to the Khobar Towers bomb in Saudi Arabia, to all the U.S. soldiers killed by IED's supported by Iran in Iraq and Syria,, to their attempted assassination of Trump in 2024.

I don't think we are arguing that Iran should or should not have nuclear weapons. No one except the Iranians and probably the Chinese think a nuclear Iran is a good idea. Have you seen a single Muslim country stand up and give more than lip service to any condemnations of what is going on? Nah. Even they know the crazy clerics don't need the bomb. The point is how this war is prosecuted. I think many of us have no issue "helping" Israel do this job via weapons, recon, advice, aid, you name it but we don't want US boots on the ground, we don't want to nation build, we don't want a lengthy investment of blood and treasure. We have done that... over and over for 75 years. It hasn't worked anywhere since Korea and even there the results were mixed. We are tired of Americans being at war when our nation is in so much peril inside it's own borders. We are tired of being the world's police man when we aren't even able to keep our own street safe. Our country is falling apart. We are just starting to thankfully put it back together and then poof, another war. Those of us who have been Conservatives far longer than even President Trump but who are tired of perpetual war are no less Conservative or MAGA or whatever. We just really believe in America first.

Re: This Is Not Iraq War II Really??!! Because it sure seems like it to me. God has blessed our brains with the ability to recognize patterns. And, this feels a lot like the run-up to the Iraq war. The same political hawks are pushing for death and destruction in the Middle East. The same media voices are rah-rah, gung-ho for war. The only difference being the democrat in the Bush intelligence apparatus who said Sadaam's WMD'S were a 'slam dunk' then quit after the war started. Director Gabbard has been balanced and more measured. Tucker is right to have some misgivings and he is not the only one. We've been down this road before and it did not end well. I recognize the threat to Israel and America and understand it has to be dealt with firmly. I am also tired of the military tapping wars along, with no intent to win. And, sickened by people making money off the disposition of deadly weapons, the shed blood of our children and those in other nations. Not to mention the fact that our kids are underpaid, and the sick and wounded have to fight with their government to get the benefits they deserve afterward. The American people voted for peace and this looks like anything but. This could quickly turn into a nightmare of epic proportions and another military money pit. I sincerely hope not. Let's do some second and third level thinking to consider the following: 1) Did the Israeli's start a war they could not finish without the help of the US? If so, why? 2) Did BiBi lie when he said Iran tried to assassinate our president? I've not read that either of the known shooters had visible ties to Iran. If he lied, why? 3) Are there other military equipment options besides our largest bunker buster bomb which by the way has not been proven to work? What if it fails? How humiliating will that be for our president and country? The generals say it will work. But the generals also said there were WMD's in Iraq. A new batch of generals in place since then, you say? Appointed by whom? Do we know who has TDS or where anyone's true loyalties lie? 4) The facility in the mountain has an entrance. Why can't the Israeli's collapse the access, rather than depending on our bombs to pierce into the facility? 5) Has anyone in our government verified (and by verified I mean seen for themselves in person or by satellite and truthfully reported) how many enrichment sites they have or determined, as much as possible, the full extent of Iran's nuclear activities? 6) Biden allowed tens of thousands of people into our country many of whom were on the terrorist watch list. Are there sleeper cells in America waiting for us to attack Iran? 7) Our IC tried to goad him into a war with Iran over a drone during his last term. He was smart enough (with God's help) to see the trap and not take the bait. How can he be sure this is not a repeat of the same strategy? 8) The mullahs don't have many friends in their neighborhood. But China gets most of its oil from Iran. How far will they go to help Iran? Will their help prolong the conflict or involve Israel and the US in a secondary war with them as well? 9) Can we aid Israel's goal of disarmament by stiff sanctions, confiscating their $$ in the US, the finances of their leaders, or affecting the flow or production of their oil sales? 10) How else can he stop the mullahs/IRGC nuclear ambitions without hurting the Iranian people, the majority of whom have done us no harm and with whom we have no quarrel? I am praying that God will guide our president in making the wisest choices for all concerned, short of bombing, combat or war; that Israel will finish the job they started unaided, making sure the world won't be confronting this situation again. And I pray for righteous Iranian men and women of integrity to come forward to lead who will love, respect, and care for and free the Iranian people.

One reason we can hope that Iran will not become "Iraq" is that we have a President who tolerates disagreement so long as it is presented constructively. Carlson has admitted that some of his remarks on this issue were not constructive and apologized for them. If his apology is good enough for President Trump it's good enough for me.

Carbon dioxide, we’ve been told over and again, is the enemy that must be subdued if we are to avoid catastrophic global warming. It is, however, a faulty premise. Physics, not politics, tells us that man’s CO2 emissions will not cause catastrophic climate change nor an increase in extreme weather. “The common belief that CO2 is the main driver of climate change and the EPA Endangerment Finding assertion that ‘elevated concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere may reasonably be anticipated’ to endanger the public health and welfare are scientifically false,” conclude the authors of a new paper.

The Los Angeles riots, the “No Kings” protests, and Israel’s attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities have taken attention away from the growing scandal of former President Joe Biden’s age-related mental issues and whether White House aides illegally made decisions on the ailing commander in chief’s behalf. But the scandal remains and, as the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows, a majority of Americans want an investigation. It’s a scandal of huge proportions, with the media covering it up and rogue political actors both inside and outside of the White House hiding Biden’s mental problems and, possibly, even making decisions for a president

Even when the podcast host had limited knowledge of the subject matter (Joe Rogan, I’m looking at you), the benefit of the longform platform was that it facilitated an open-ended, free-floating conversation where both sides learned more about the other. Israel's remarkable early success in its campaign against Iran has clearly won over President Trump, who has now taken to using the term “we” when discussing the operation. This has increased the debate over whether — and to what extent — the U.S. should join the effort. In under a week, Israel has achieved complete air supremacy, allowing its pilots to hit targets in Iran without fear of harassment. Though the conflict has taken a toll (Iran’s indiscriminate ballistic missile attacks have killed dozens of Israelis and injured hundreds more), the Iranian counterstrikes have not destroyed any significant strategic targets.

The only strategic reason not to attack it was the fact that it could have contained highly radioactive material, and Israel had to balance the benefit of denying its use to Iran against the consequences of releasing dangerous and long-lived radioactive material if the supposedly inactive reactor held fissionable material.
