FRESNO, Calif. -- A new COVID-19 subvariant known as NB.1.8.1, or "Nimbus," is spreading across the United States and gaining traction in California, prompting health officials to urge the public to stay up to date on vaccinations. (Snip) One of the most talked-about symptoms of the new strain is what patients are calling "razor blade throat", a severe sore throat that some describe as feeling like swallowing shards of glass. "With this variant, we are seeing patients presenting with a very painful sore throat, cough, headache, and nasal congestion," said Dr. Trinidad Solis with the Fresno County Department of Public Health.

Comments:

The much dreaded 'Nimbus COVID' is lurking nearby. Better keep those masks, gloves, and 6-foot measuring tapes on hand.

I wonder if all of the times in my life that I had the severe "razor blade throat" symptom that it was some kind of corona virus. Maybe that's why I have such strong immunity to it. I was tired for a few days. It already has gone through this area and caused only discomfort for a few days without anything else. The kids all got it at the same time and passed it to the adults who seemed to feel it less. Probably because most kids are whimps. I strongly urge all Dem politicians and judges to get two or three more jabs.

California seems to be the epicenter for many a contagion as far back as Gold Fever, HIV, and now a new Covid. Are we hearing an angelic trumpet blowing? Perhaps a warning from above to repent?

I wouldn’t be surprised if the clot shot makes you more likely to catch it. I had covid 1.0 and never had it again (or at least never had symptoms). Never got the shot. All the people I know who had even one shot keep getting every variant.

They can stick those vaccines. It most be a hell of an existence to jump up and run down to the local pharmacy and get another vaccine every time the Enemedia alarm bell sounds on another scary Covid variant. I guess there are still sheeple out there who do just that. If one really thought about it for even a moment, it's like playing Russian Roulette considering those "wonderful" vaccines.

At least this time the hysteria admits the greater ease of spread accompanies a lower lethality. But they still spin pretty heavily to keep the fearful on edge. If the razor blade throat doesn't get another panic, maybe a "curry comb sinus" or "icepick ear" variant can freak us out.

There's an article floating around the internet about how the more shots you get the sooner you will die from the shots. They analyzed a million Japanese medical records to come to that conclusion. I think we are seeing evolution in action. Mostly people who can't think for themselves (most liberals) are getting the shots and dying sooner (less chance to reproduce) and those who can think for themselves don't get the shot and have more opportunities to reproduce. Unfortunately, my wife, who could think for herself and pretty much knew she was immune, fell for the propaganda and got the shot so she wouldn't get the Wuhan plague and bring it home to her mother, who was undergoing chemotherapy. The shot gave her CJD, which took 19 months to kill her; she spent 14 of those months in a hospital bed, in hospice, before she died. May Fraud-Chi and his minions swing before they roast in Hell. Ironically, her mother got Covid and survived just fine. I never got the shot, and think I had the Wuhan plague in the middle of Nov, 2019 (along with my wife) and have never tested positive for it, ever.

My husband and I both got COVID in late 2019 (before it was well known). He got the first two Pfizer clot shots, but never got another after reading about the side effects. I (being younger) wasn't eligible until later, and by then had read enough to avoid the shots. The Feds have no leverage over me, so I've not taken a single jab. We both caught COVID 2 1/2 years later after it had mutated from what we'd had. We had the exact same mild symptoms, and same duration so our mini clinical trial proved to our satisfaction that the "vaccine" was useless. As for the latest variant, call me when the body wagons start rolling through the streets. Until then, I'll take my chances.....

We had it in October last year, again. We get it every 2 years now and after 3 bouts none of which were anything alike, who knows how the next round will be. We won't know until probably Fall of 2026. It sure would be nice is some scientists would actually study real natural immunity, it's average duration, possible treatments to reduce the duration/severity of the illness, etc and gave us some real science on the topic. Instead we get told to get a useless vaccine and that's all.

Fauci probably financed this strain with our tax dollars in a lab in either China or Ukraine. #14 I read that article about Japanese research also. Perhaps having RFK Jr. in his role, we will get information like that shared with the sheep. (So sorry to hear about your wife - I have many friends who took the shots to avoid blame if older people in their family got sick, or in anticipation of not being able to fly on an airplane. None of the warnings were accurate.)

Scads of public health officials should lose their livelihoods over Covid and the "vaccines." They ruined their professional reputations by lying to us. I'll never believe them again. Besides, as these diseases morph into new varieties, they get less, not more, dangerous. (I had Covid alpha version in March 2020. It was like a terrible, terrible cold that shut off 80% of my breathing. In two days, I was improving. No shots for this, ever)

It is sad that some will never let go of the Russian propaganda lies about Ukranian biolabs. I worked in bioresearch inside Ukraine managing multiple projects in many institutes. There were NO harmful biolabs, period. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency build some additions to an existing veternarian vaccine development institute, and I toured it. What was built was more modern security with badge readers and a backup generator to keep the refrigerators with biosamples cold in power outages. They did NOT work with Fauci, he worked Canadians and Chinese.

Finally freed of commercial restraints and surface-level superficialities, longform podcasts took you beyond the talking points, treating audiences to a deep dive of a topic’s intricacies. Even when the podcast host had limited knowledge of the subject matter (Joe Rogan, I’m looking at you), the benefit of the longform platform was that it facilitated an open-ended, free-floating conversation where both sides learned more about the other. Israel's remarkable early success in its campaign against Iran has clearly won over President Trump, who has now taken to using the term “we” when discussing the operation. This has increased the debate over whether — and to what extent — the U.S. should join the effort. In under a week, Israel has achieved complete air supremacy, allowing its pilots to hit targets in Iran without fear of harassment. Though the conflict has taken a toll (Iran’s indiscriminate ballistic missile attacks have killed dozens of Israelis and injured hundreds more), the Iranian counterstrikes have not destroyed any significant strategic targets.

Wowza. It's no surprise that Israel has destroyed Iran's Arak nuclear reactor. After all, it was a key element of Iran's program to build nuclear weaponry, and a very vulnerable target. The only strategic reason not to attack it was the fact that it could have contained highly radioactive material, and Israel had to balance the benefit of denying its use to Iran against the consequences of releasing dangerous and long-lived radioactive material if the supposedly inactive reactor held fissionable material.
