What did she think was going to happen? New Mexico’s Democratic governor has been making headlines around the country since she decided her election to a statewide office gave her the power to suspend the Constitution of the United States. Over the weekend, her home-state constituents sent a message of their own. (Snip) As KOB-TV in the city reported, more than 100 gun rights supporters turned out in Albuquerque’s Old Town section to show their support for the Second Amendment is more powerful than any governor’s pen.

Who does she think she is? Certainly not a brain dead Biden who has the press lying and covering her rear end due to ignorant and blatantly UNConstitutional edicts/ "Shall not be infringed" is pretty plain-- why weren't MORE citizens showing up? Because they are afraid of being rounded up like the J6 citizens and punished for being let into the Capitol as the Nasty Piglosi HIDDEN video plainly shows.

Leave your cell phone at home. Tell no one. No social media. Pay in cash. Wear a Covid mask and sunglasses with thick frame. Hat. No clothing you normally wear Rent no hotel room in town. Park far, far away, preferably backing into a spot and in a garage. (We have no front plate in NM.) Rifle should be missing mag and have orange range tag clearly visible in breach.

Next time there is a protest in New Mexico over this, any law enforcement or military sent to quell the protesters should march with them instead. So should their friends and family members. Pick up the governor and escort her to the border and tell her she is no longer welcome in the state. Btw, going to need more than a few hundred protesters.

#8 is correct. This is a trial balloon with its roots in covid. Pick a somewhat insignificant governor to lead the charge, as they no longer need that useful idiot. If the plan goes swimmingly and there's no or little resistance, it will happen in all the blue states. Notice that comments by rabid anti-gunners like Lu and Hogg all write similar tweets: ' Hey - I like guns but this is a violation...'

Wrong, #9. Your rifle should have a fully loaded magazine, and a round in the chamber. Don’t carry it unless you’re ready to use it.

This will catch on and spread when violations of the Constitution continue. The mistake made by the J6 people is that they were not armed. In their defense, Donald Trump asked them to demonstrate peacefully. The Left defines "peacefully" as "cowardly."

Well, with #21 we've found Lucianne's resident Ray Epps, the agent provocateur and/or FBI Special Agent, Junior Grade, looking to shut down Lucianne for incitement to violence or charge everyone with free speech crimes or whatever the DOJ makes up tomorrow. First, #21, just because you have a obvious empty rifle, that doesn't mean you can't have a legal, concealed, handgun. Second, it's a legal protest, not a revolution. And apparently we have the burden of proof to prove legality and peacefulness. No one there is going to have a gunfight against anyone that matters. A truly armed mob would help give the Left the Reichstag Fire it so desperately wants. So there is no need to have rounds in the chamber. Third, the rules of the protest (set by the organizers) were done because there are always idiots or agents provocateurs in a large crowd, just like we have here in the Salon. Some idiot (or plant) with poor discipline having a misfire could create a panic or serious accident. Hence the mag rule and orange range tag. The point is an objectively strong, but overtly peaceable, with no-immediate-threat-of-violence, protest. A protest that worked, mind you.

That worries Brad Smith, who coaches the Cheyenne East High School clay target shooting team. Although his team doesn’t get any money from the school district, it is promoted through the school, and losing that support would hurt, he told Cowboy State Daily.

As much as it’s reported that the world is going through a transition away from fossil fuels to wind and solar energy, the data doesn’t support it. The International Energy Agency released its 2023 Coal Market Update on Thursday, which shows that global coal consumption in 2022 rose by 3.3% to a record 8.3 billion tons. While the use of coal in European countries and the United States has declined, those reductions are offset by increases in Asian countries, primarily India and China.

Romney, 76, said in an interview that his decision to not run again was heavily influenced by his age and his prediction that his second term would be less effective than his first. “It’s very difficult for the House to operate, from what I can tell,” Romney said. “And perhaps more importantly, we’re probably going to have either Trump or Biden as our next president. And Biden is unable to lead on important matters and Trump is unwilling to lead on important matters.”

The California legislature passed a bill Friday that would threaten parents with losing custody of their children if they question their child’s supposed desire to undergo disfiguring hormone regimens or surgeries to appear more like the opposite sex. Assembly Bill 957 was initially proposed to require courts to consider whether parents were “affirming” a child’s identification as transgender in custody cases. The legislation was later amended in June to declare parents who aren’t deemed sufficiently “affirming” liable for child abuse.

Donald Trump needs to be Convicted for Jan. 6th and there can be no Third Party Candidate.” Reiner’s comment was so blatantly anti-democratic that it elicited an avalanche of criticism, some of it from leftists who didn’t particularly like the idea of barring third-party candidates. As one person on X (formerly known as Twitter) responded: “Better make sure there’s no second party candidate either, just to be safe. For Democracy.” Another way of putting what Reiner said: We need to kill democracy in order to save it.
