Rob Reiner Reveals What Democrats Really
Mean By ‘Threats To Democracy’

Original Article

Posted By: RockyTCB, 9/12/2023 5:38:09 AM

In a tweet sent out over the weekend, Rob “Meathead” Reiner declared that “For our Democracy to survive, two things have to happen. Donald Trump needs to be Convicted for Jan. 6th and there can be no Third Party Candidate.” Reiner’s comment was so blatantly anti-democratic that it elicited an avalanche of criticism, some of it from leftists who didn’t particularly like the idea of barring third-party candidates. As one person on X (formerly known as Twitter) responded: “Better make sure there’s no second party candidate either, just to be safe. For Democracy.” Another way of putting what Reiner said: We need to kill democracy in order to save it.

Please, please, please…this country is not a democracy. The Founders knew how dangerous that would be because they knew it would lead to mob rule. We are a Representative Republic! Anytime I hear people praising democracy I know they are uninformed. The last thing we need in this country is mob rule. Words matter, people! This nitwit however, deserves nothing but utter contempt. It is people like this fool who have almost destroyed this country. Nothing worse than being an arrogant but oh so ignorant rich guy. Archie was right. Rob Reiner really is a Meathead.

Many of you are wrong about Reiner’s talent. He’s a lunkhead when it comes to politics but he has been a seminal force in many really good movies including When Harry Met Sally, A Few Good Men, This is Spinal Tap, Princess Bride, Misery, Stand by Me and many more. If just his collaborations with Christopher Guest were counted alone I’d still think he’s a brilliant moviemaker. However, when it comes to public policy he’s a complete fool who’s entitled to his own opinions but, to be respected, those opinions need to be based in reality.

Do not forget, he helped fund The Democracy Integrity Project (TDIP) which was one of the main sources of the Russia, Russia, Russia information that was being fed to Congressperson aides and media outlets. That in turn, provided the cover for further FBI investigations, etc... When recently asked if he was going to run for president next year, California Gov. Gavin Newsom wouldn’t rule it out. This is no big news, since we’ve been hearing for some time that he will rescue the faltering Biden-Harris regime. But it is distressing. In addition to driving people from his state with policies that become more deranged with every passing year, Newsom was a malevolent pandemic warrior who should have been punished for his offenses. Voters deserve to know just how vicious he was – and that he remains unrepentant. It would be hard to argue that any another state mistreated its citizens more than California.

Will the 2024 election be fair, or marred by systematic cheating? Based on how Americans feel about recent elections and the coming presidential contest, most are confident the election will be fair. First, the good news: 65% of the 1,223 registered voters queried in the national online I&I/TIPP Poll, which was taken from Aug. 30-Sept. 1, called themselves either “very confident” (42%) or “somewhat confident” (23%) that the 2024 election “will be conducted fairly and accurately.”

Even someone qualified for that job – which she clearly is not – would have trouble coming up with new ways to tell bald-faced lies about the border crisis and what President Joe Biden is doing to stop it. Her job got more difficult after U.S. Customs and Border Protection released data Friday showing that 304,162 people entered the country illegally in August – a new record. For perspective, it’s as many as crossed illegally in all of 2017, and more than the entire population of Pittsburgh.

Californians have twice forced governors into recall elections under the state’s 1911 law, the first time to can a real flop of a chief executive, the second time putting a scare into a man who deserved to be fired and humiliated. MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell said over the weekend that: “The Constitution has some profoundly anti-democratic, which is to say anti-democracy components, like the Electoral College and the two senators per state, for example.” Mind you, this aired on Sept. 15, just two days before Constitution Day, which this year marked the 236th anniversary of its signing.
