The man who went on a deadly shooting rampage Sunday on Tucson's south side has a criminal record and a history of "mental health issues," Tucson Police Chief Chris Magnus said at a news conference Monday afternoon. Meanwhile, the circumstances of a fatal house fire in January across the street from the home in Sunday's fire and shooting spree will be reviewed. In that fire two people died, including the mother of the alleged gunman.

Comments:

Outrageous failure of legal system.

Sea level rise is increasing at a dramatic rate. Scientists at the University of Miami warn that if we don't act soon, coastal cities and towns will slowly diminish. Scientists say a few decades from now, downtown Miami will be underwater. The tide is coming in and eventually it's not going to go back out," says Dr. Harold Wanless, a Geologist and Professor of Geography and Sustainable Development at University of Miami. So what does that mean for us? According to Dr. Wanelss's research, by the year 2060, nearly 60% of Miami-Dade county will be underwater.

Prince Harry has reportedly been left 'devastated' and after the Queen's 'ER' initials were removed from the shoulder of his military uniform as he held vigil by her coffin - after Prince Andrew was allowed to keep the royal cypher. The Duke of Sussex, 38, is said to have considered wearing a morning suit to avoid embarrassment as the monarch's eight grandchildren carried out a sombre guard of honour inside Westminster Hall last night. William and Harry, both dressed in military uniform, stood at either end of their grandmother's coffin. They were joined by cousins Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and Lady Louise Windsor and

Denver is set to provide 140 homeless people with $12,000 in cash with no strings attached to help get them out of destitution, and a last ditch effort to combat soaring crime rates in the Mile-High City. The city has allocated $2million from the American Rescue Plan Act to fund the program, which will be run by the Denver Basic Income Project. The total program, which will cost around $9million, is seeking to help around 820 people, but the $2million provided by the city will fund around 140 people. The rest of the money will be raised through charitable foundations, including the Colorado Health Foundation and the Denver Foundation,

In her 70 years on the throne, Queen Elizabeth II met 13 US presidents. But there was one that she took a special shine to. In his book "Kensington Palace: An Intimate Memoir from Queen Mary to Meghan Markle," author Tom Quinn wrote, "after meeting Barack Obama who she completely fell in love with – she has frequently asked her courtiers if they could arrange for him to come to Britain now he is no longer president." Over their eight years spent in the White House, Barack and Michelle Obama visited Buckingham Palace three times. The pair got off to a

The percentage of Americans who are refusing to get a vaccine for the Chinese coronavirus is remaining consistent, as nearly three in ten have yet to receive a single jab for the virus, a poll from The Economist/YouGov found. The survey found that 28 percent have not received any coronavirus jab from any manufacturer, compared to 72 percent who said they have. What is more, 58 percent indicated that they are at least triple vaccinated. However, it appears that those who are unvaccinated will remain so, as 66 percent said they do to plan on getting any shots, followed by 16 percent who said they “might” and nine percent

Guests at Disney World in Florida are complaining about the outrageous cost for average families to visit the resort while griping about broken-down, faulty rides, dirty facilities, and filth littering the walkways and attractions. CEO Bob Chapek has overseen Disney’s expanding immoral wokeness while hiking prices into the stratosphere and allowing the resort to devolve into disrepair under his watch. Social media is being flooded with complaints by visitors who are relentlessly bashing the Happiest Place on Earth while carping that Chapek is obsessed with cutting costs and raising prices instead of reinvesting in the resort, according to the New York Post.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has challenged Ron DeSantis to a debate over his decision to send 50 migrants to Martha's Vineyard - just as the Florida governor doubles down on sending more migrants to Democratic 'sanctuary cities.' Earlier this week, DeSantis mimicked his Texas and Arizona counterparts in sending over groups of migrants to Democrat-led cities up north in protest of the Biden Administration's border policies. Newsom and other Democratic leaders have slammed the move as playing with people's lives, with the California governor going so far as to call for kidnapping charges against DeSantis.

President Joe Biden will campaign in Florida later this month as he continues criticizing Florida governor Ron DeSantis (R), who is running for reelection. The White House confirmed that Biden will attend a rally for the Democrat National Committee in Orlando, Florida, on September 27. DeSantis angered the White House when he transported migrants who had crossed the Southern border to Martha’s Vineyard, a paradise for Democrat elites. “Republicans are playing politics with human beings, using them as props,” Biden said

If you enjoyed watching the left squirm and enter fits of pearl-clutching rage after Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) flew 50 illegal immigrants to the deep-blue elitist Massachusetts island of Martha’s Vineyard, grab some popcorn and sit back in your comfiest chair because it’s about to get absolutely wild. The Florida governor took intense backlash for his decision to take advantage of Martha’s Vineyard’s sanctuary city policy, with some in the media even comparing his actions to those of Adolf Hitler. Clearly, DeSantis isn’t even the slightest bit fazed, as he recently doubled down on his new tactic during a press conference Friday, according to a CNN report. During the Friday presser,

ROME — Pope Francis has rejected the label “undemocratic” to describe China’s communist regime, insisting that the issue is too complex to allow for such characterizations. “I cannot get on board with calling China undemocratic; I won’t do that because it’s such a complex country,” the pontiff told journalists during his return trip from Kazakhstan to Rome Thursday. “Sure, there are things that seem undemocratic to us, that is true.” “Labeling is difficult and I’m not ready to do that, since they are impressions, so instead I try to support the path of dialogue,” he declared.

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman is running for US Senate, but his floundering performance on the campaign trail has left many questioning whether he is fit to run for office — or even serve in the upper chamber of the house. After Fetterman suffered a stroke just days before his May primary, reporters were later told he had a pacemaker and a defibrillator fitted to address atrial fibrillation — a serious heart condition that was diagnosed years earlier but not revealed before he ran for lieutenant governor or senate. In a June statement, his doctor said he also had a serious heart condition called cardiomyopathy.
