ARLINGTON, Va. — On Wednesday night, Arlington National Cemetery held a virtual public scope meeting to discuss the proposed removal of the Confederate Memorial that has stood in Section 16 of the burial site for more than 100 years. It’s the latest step before removal, which the cemetery said is required by Congressional action, after the governing body approved the founding of the Naming Commission. It is a “nostalgic, mythologized version of the Confederacy, including highly sanitized depictions of slavery,

Tearing down statues again. Why isn't the Democrat party forced to disband and pay for their support of slavery, Jim Crow laws, etc...?

Its ironic that the nation wants to remove a confederate memorial from the land the Union stoled from a confederate woman, Mrs. Robert E. Lee. It was her land that Lincoln stoled. Please remove all graves as they are committed on Confederate soil!

Leave the Confederate Memorial alone! In removing it, Arlington will confirm the brokenness of the United States. Let the dead bury the dead. Let the living leave them ALONE! The current one is not the ONLY generation. The Creator could turn it all off at any time of His choosing.

This is beautiful memorial in the back of Arlington near Fort Myer.It is as much a monument to peace as it is to the Confederacy. It is surrounded by the graves of Confederate veterans and their headstones differ from the rounded US headstones in that they come to a point- “so some damn Yankee won’t sit on them “. Pray for a Republican victory in 2024 to stop this nonsense.

It the guise of being politically correct, we are cancelling our history as if it never happened, that slavery did not occur, and any reference to it is conducive to aiding and abetting more slavery? Ludicrous. All wars are painful. If they weren't, we would not try to avoid them. Might as well shut down Auschwitz so we don't ever remember the slave camps and the final solution.

Oil prices are surging again, but the Biden administration's biggest weapon for bringing them down has much less ammunition. Last year, the federal government drained 180 million barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve as oil prices soared in the aftermath of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the turmoil in energy markets that followed. Flooding the market with all that supply helped bring oil prices down — and helped cool inflation, which had shot up as well. Earlier this year, the administration took some steps to start refilling the SPR. But while it has ticked up slightly, the level remains near

Democrats are fretting about President Biden’s low approval ratings, exacerbated by widespread concerns about his age. Those factors seem to be getting worse rather than better. Ukrainian authorities ordered a mandatory evacuation of several villages and three dozen other populated areas as Russian troops advanced on the Kharkiv province. The evacuation directive applies to 37 settlements that Russian forces captured early in the 18-month-old war but were liberated by a Ukrainian counteroffensive in September. Citing a Russian attempt to push back into the area, the military administration in the Kupiansk district told roughly 12,000 residents to seek safety elsewhere.
