Some of the more than 100 demonstrators screamed and threw punches at each other at the Upper East Side rally as most bashed City Hall’s handling of the crisis while others shouting them down. “No migrants on Long Island!” a Trump supporter shouted outside the Manhattan home of Mayor Eric Adams. “We pay a lot of property taxes!” (Snip) Nearly two dozen counter-protesters returned the verbal volley, yelling out, “F–k white supremacist NYPD!” as about 50 cops looked on. The tense stand-off came as about 100,000 migrants from the US southern border have flooded the five boroughs, forcing Adams to

Violent? Maybe a few scuffles. But when BLM burns down a city block it's 'mostly peaceful'.

There’s a guy on Twitter I have a total crush on. He’s an artist and an old school New Yorker. His name is Scott LoBaido and he pulls no punches. He shut down a new “migrant” housing unit that was right across an elementary school. He video’d himself going in the school and telling the workers fixing the place up what losers they were. It was glorious. I’d be surprised if he wasn’t at this protest. And he’s a YUGE Trump fan. We need more men just like him.

All that Eric wanted to do was live in a big house, attend city government parties, make speeches and dance the night away with fellow democrats. The voters who put him into office are now making it difficult for him. Why? You got exactly what you wanted, or thought it was what you wanted. Any time counter-protesters are sent to a rally to clash with protesters and the police, they will be Antifa and they will be protected, count on it.

Ukrainian authorities ordered a mandatory evacuation of several villages and three dozen other populated areas as Russian troops advanced on the Kharkiv province. The evacuation directive applies to 37 settlements that Russian forces captured early in the 18-month-old war but were liberated by a Ukrainian counteroffensive in September. Citing a Russian attempt to push back into the area, the military administration in the Kupiansk district told roughly 12,000 residents to seek safety elsewhere. The order was initially issued on Aug. 10 but residents have been reluctant to relocate despite Russia's renewed push to retake the region. The resurgence comes as

Jacksonville linebacker Dequan Jackson leveled the 24-year-old rookie, drawing a flag for unnecessary roughness as Davis lied motionless on the turf. As both teams gathered around him, Davis was eventually removed from the field and the game canceled. In a tweet, Miami announced that Davis "suffered an injury in tonight’s game and has been

BISMARCK, N.D. — The beloved wild horses that roam freely in North Dakota’s Theodore Roosevelt National Park could be removed under a National Park Service proposal that worries advocates who say the horses are a cultural link to the past. Visitors who drive the scenic park road can often see bands of horses, a symbol of the West and sight that delights tourists. Advocates want to see the horses continue to roam the Badlands, and disagree with park officials who have branded the horses as “livestock.” The Park Service is revising its livestock plans and writing an environmental assessment to

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is making changes to a campaign promise that sought to fight homelessness by raising taxes after drawing concerns about the burdens a tax hike could bring on property owners. Johnson's proposed tax system would shift away from the city's flat tax rate on all property sales in Chicago. His proposal, which initially had two tiers, is now looking to break home sales into three categories, causing dissatisfaction among owners of high-end properties. The original proposal, which Johnson pitched on the campaign trail, called for two tiers: 0.75% tax on home sales below $1 million and 2.65%

Rome—Pope Francis has blasted the “backwardness” of some conservatives in the U.S. Catholic Church, saying they have replaced faith with ideology and that a correct understanding of Catholic doctrine allows for change over time. Francis’ comments were an acknowledgment of the divisions in the U.S. Catholic Church, which has been split between progressives and conservatives who long found support in the doctrinaire papacies of St. John Paul II and Benedict XVI, particularly on issues of abortion and same-sex marriage. Many conservatives have blasted Francis’ emphasis instead on social justice issues such as the environment and the poor, while also branding as heretical his opening to letting divorced and civilly remarried
