Governor Chris Sununu (R-NH) said Monday on CNN’s “Inside Politics” that former President Donald Trump can not win the presidential election in November 2024 because his ceiling of popularity is at 45%.
Sununu said, “So one of the key points of that poll showed that about a third of Trump supporters would consider somebody else. When you look at the favorable/unfavorable of all the different candidates DeSantis is better than former President Trump, Tim Scott has strong numbers. Other candidates are showing strong numbers.”
He continued, “I think we all agree the former president’s floor is high, 32, 33, 34%, but his ceiling is also very low. Realistically

Chris, when Trump does win the 2024 General Election, please don't embarrass yourself like Romney did when he went begging for a job in the Administration, ok?

I wish I had a nickel for every one of these self appointed hacks who said he couldn't win in 2016.
We even had them here.

I love how these people who couldn't pull 20% of the electorate are lecturing us on who can and can't win.

Apparently Governor Sununu has no idea that we are a representative republic, and do not elect a president based off of a popular vote count.

Unfortunately, Sununu is right. RealClearPolitics continues to call Biden the winner and has for months. Trump has divided the Republican Party in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan (where a fight recently broke out in a state committee meeting), Pennsylvania, and probably a few others. Georgia is a red state, with an R governor and legislature, but with two Democrat senators, thanks to Trump, who turned the Senate in 2020. In 2022, Trump-supported candidates lost 12 House seats, 4 Senate seats, and 4 Secretaries of State (who oversee state elections). He's running a campaign focused on 2020 and continuing his attack on Rinos, who he'll need to win, along with independents and Democrats willing to say good-bye to Biden. I'd love to support him if I thought he had a chance, but he shows no winning strategy to beat Biden. And I'm not about to send a dollar to the campaign of a billionaire, not knowing how much of that dollar will go toward fighting Joe and how much will go to his defense. Flame away. I wish I were wrong, but as Ben Franklin said, "He who lives on hope dies fasting".

Chris Sununu, like Romney and Jeb, are sons of establishment Republicans. He has never known life of middle class working Americans and has no interest in understanding them.
Chris Sununu is no different than the fops who kissed up to the monarchs of old Europe and saw the productive classes as serfs to be exploited. And like the elites of old, he must be driven from power

Maybe it is deja vu, but I remember back in 2016 how we heard these same dire warning from the same RINO Republi-Can'ts. Hey, they even gave President Trump less chances of winning against the Hilldebeast.
Donald Trump is the exception to the rules. And anyone who doubts it will end up eating his words!!!!!

With all the dumbed down voters believing the propaganda, saving the planet, saving humanity, and entitlement attitude, it's no surprise. That ceiling may apply to all Republican candidates. If that's the case, Chris Sununu should switch parties. He could be the next President!

Sununu has always been an anti-Trump establishment Republican type, so what do you expect he would say? He would tell you tomorrow that if a Bush were to run that he or she would be elected!

45% might be enough if there are 3rd party candidates. RFK, Jr. and Cornel West might run. The main problem is eliminating fraud. Another 4 years of what we've had and I'll be wrestling with the squirrels is my backyard to eat the bark off of trees.

Great, now ask him about mass untraceable ballots, unexplained electronic flipping of impossible numbers, more votes than voters, soros paid for election riggers who violated state constitutions and who hid, destroyed or found votes that they kept from review. Because intimidated, blackmailed cowards did not do their sworn duty, doesn't mean we has an honest election. Also any Republican that isn't outraged by the absolutely illegal treatment of the J6 prisoners, is scum. You smug a$$$, lecturing us while our rights are thrown out by evil criminals. What a slob.

Consider yourself flamed, #16. The states where the republican party is divided are coincidentally the ones where massive cheating took place in 2020. They are divided because many of the republicans were too cowardly to challenge the proven fixing of the elections to protect their own skins and can be counted upon to act selfishly in the future. Hope must be accompanied by action in order to be successful, everybody knows that.

but it will not be determined by total vote percentages, it will be determined by the Electoral College and he is basically tied with Biden in the EC with 6 purple states all of which he could conceivably win.
