A new Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa Poll has been released. Likely Iowa caucusgoers put Donald Trump in the lead, with his percentage growing by 5 points after the Georgia indictment was announced. Trump has a more than 2-to-1 lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the number two candidate in polls. Take all polls at this point with a grain or three of salt, as the Iowa caucuses are the first test for Republican presidential primary candidates. The Iowa caucuses are five months away, a lifetime in politics.

Ummmm, not really. Ms. Townsend is full of Hot Air! Being the clever journalist, our Karen simply added together President Trump's and Governor Ron's percentage numbers for each supposed finish in this little horse race; first, place and show. Trump numbers in order: 42%, 10%, and 12% = 64%. DeSantis numbers in order: 19%, 20%, and 22% = 62%. Therefore, according to our crack political analyst, these two candidates are running neck and neck. Excuse me, but I just don't see the reality behind this fantasy. Keep drinking that GOPe Deep State chardonnay, sweetie. It's sure to help to get you through the night, just like it does Hillary! MAGA REVENGE - TRUMP 2024

No. It isn't close. Voters haven't forgotten that Trump won in 2020, and that election was stolen. The deniers can chase their tails, climb the walls, stomp their feet---but a lot of people have made up their minds to vote for Trump, and it don't matter what.

Every election cycle Rush (PBUH) would re-educate us on how to correctly look at polling. Up until the final four weeks before election day, the goal of mass-market pollsters is not to provide an accurate reflection of public opinion, it is to shape public opinion. They will tweak their selection criteria and questions to produce a result that maximizes liberal engagement and depresses conservatives. But when we get close to election day, that behavior changes. Now the polls produced by the big polling outfits will help define their reputation for accuracy moving forward. No pollster wants to be known as “the one who got it wrong” and so they actually begin to reflect the public's actual position. Nobody should believe any poll conducted more than a month out.

Again , this is the DM Register a full out liberal rag. Since Iowa is now heavily Republican, it is getting harder for them to find liberals to pack their polls with.

"closer than it may first seem" Register attempts to shape news rather than report. Recalling what Rush said about the purpose of polls.

Washington — The Secret Service arrested a Chicago woman Monday after prosecutors alleged she sent multiple menacing emails to a Florida school in which she threatened to kill former President Donald Trump and his teenage son, Barron, a law enforcement official confirmed to CBS News. "I will shoot Donald Trump Sr. AND Barron Trump straight in the face at any opportunity that I get," Tracy Fiorenza allegedly emailed the headmaster of a Palm Beach school on May 21, 2023, according to a criminal complaint filed earlier this month in Florida. Days later, court documents allege Fiorenza, 41, again emailed the unnamed school official, "I am going to slam

In what could be described as the worst-kept secret in politics, former President Donald Trump has decided he will not participate in the Republican presidential debates. He cited his commanding double-digit lead in Republican primary polls as the main reason for not participating. It would be the second presidential election cycle in which Trump broke tradition and skipped a debate. However, while the Trump campaign may think it’s a shrewd political maneuver, it’s actually self-destructive insofar as it establishes a precedent for President Joe Biden to skip debating Trump (assuming he is the GOP nominee) in the general election.

As we reported earlier, Joe Biden has finally made it to Maui to speak about the disaster that took place almost two weeks ago. He's meeting with some of the victims and first responders, and he also has made some brief remarks in Lahaina. Protesters met him at the airport with signs, excoriating him and saying, "He should've been here much earlier," "It's too late," and "Actions speak louder than words." People even had a sign out in front of their home in Kehei reading "Traitor Joe Must Go." As we noted earlier, the White House is trying to sell that they have been involved since

In July, there were at least 46 near-miss incidents involving commercial airlines, according to Federal Aviation Administration safety reports reviewed by the Times. Earlier this month, a Southwest Airlines flight and a private jet came within 100 feet of one another on a San Diego runway, sparking two federal investigations.
