Vivek Ramaswamy, who has skyrocketed to third place in the Republican presidential primary by campaigning as a millennial candidate with fresh ideas, is facing a new hurdle as he attempts to navigate the fraught debate over U.S. military aid to Israel. The 38-year-old biotech entrepreneur and self-proclaimed political "outsider," has raised eyebrows for his shifting positions on U.S. military aid to Israel, which he now says he wants to cut off in 2028.

fta: This week, he told the Washington Free Beacon that he supports ending the military funding once the current package passed by Congress expires in 2028, arguing that the aid will be unnecessary after he successfully negotiates new peace treaties between Israel and its Arab neighbors during the first year of his presidency. (snip) Ramaswamy describes his Middle East plan as "Abraham Accords 2.0," an expansion of the historic Trump-era deals cementing relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco. -- It pays to actually READ the articles posted instead of just knee jerk posting. That said, there will never be peace in the Middle East. Both side loathe each other with a hatred of literally Biblical proportion. I applaud the efforts but both sides have zealots that will not allow a lasting peace.

Get the impression the more we know about Ramaswamy the less we will like him. He can broker peace between Israel and the Arab countries? Really? There is a long list of failures with many politicians damaging themselves in the process. Ramaswamy will find his name on that list if he pursues this. Don't see anything special about the guy.

How hard is it for a reasonably bright guy to see that vast numbers of American voters are for a candidate who has espoused certain policies to go copycat. We have little idea of who this man is,, how he would govern, what he’d achieve, what he really stands for. We don’t know who he really is. I believe he’s a wheeler dealer. A salesman. Tucker Carlson’s latest episode of his show on X, formerly known as Twitter, aired Thursday and it certainly was a bang-up one. It featured an interview with former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund. As Tucker explained, he’d filmed an interview with Sund earlier in the year (when he was still working for Fox). It was scheduled to run on Monday, April 24, Carlson said. Then Carlson was let go from Fox that Monday morning and the interview never aired. Because the interview footage is owned by Fox, Tucker can’t run it. So instead he invited Sund to come on his X show and tell what he knew.

Even with all of the other significant and disturbing news cropping up on a daily basis, the legacy media continues to obsess over the fact that it sometimes gets hot in July and August in the northern hemisphere. Shocking… I know. But our intellectual betters aren’t satisfied with simply noting that it’s hot out. They want to ensure that we know why it’s hot out. At the top of the list, of course, is climate change. The smarter people are pretty sure they’ve come up with the missing factor. Amazingly, the oceans in particular may be warming up because of… wait for it… cleaner air.

President Joe Biden is proving to be President Xi’s perfect patsy to help him achieve his grand ambitions. President Biden remains under the dangerous delusion that China is merely a vigorous competitor, not the U.S.’s chief adversary that is determined to replace America as the world’s number one military, economic, and technological superpower. President Biden is on a fool’s mission to explore whether there are areas of mutual interest where the Chinese regime might be willing to genuinely cooperate with the United States.
