BRICK, N.J. — New Jersey is pushing an ambitious agenda to move its more than 9 million residents away from natural gas and gasoline to heat their homes and power their cars, in favor of electricity to do the job of both. But like many other places in the country, the moves, designed to lessen the harmful impact of burning fossil fuels on the planet’s climate, are garnering significant opposition from foes who warn that the government is coming to take away your stove and your car. New Jersey utility regulators are to vote Wednesday on a series of “decarbonization”

Unless they plan to move to nuclear (which I am sure they are not as they don't have the sense God gave a goose), when the sun does not shine and the wind does not blow, what will they rely on to heat their homes and cook their food, pixie dust and unicorn flatulence?

Never. Maybe they can do something about new purchases but those who have wonderful gas stoves will keep them forever. There is nothing in them to break. No tricky circuitry. Gas appliances like stoves and furnaces are the simplest, most straightfoward. And gas clothes dryers utilize more air circlation, thus drying in a much shorter time. I’ve had both gas and electric. I know.

Its not about controlling the weather. Its about controlling us. Just like in the novel 1984, there is always some kind of dire emergency or war that necessitates that the peasants must sacrifice and do without and justifies the heavy hand of government to control us. For our own good of course.

What's that quote? Oh yes, here it is: "The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." H. L. Mencken Meantime, the Chicoms mined and burned FOUR BILLION (4,000,000,000) TONS of coal in 2020, and have put a Large New Coal-fired Power Plant into commission EVERY WEEK since then!

Ever heard the phrase “Give someone an inch and they’ll take a mile”? Americans gave Joe Biden the Oval Office, and now he is taking away their cars , dishwashers, gas stoves, and, most recently, their water heaters. Biden’s Department of Energy on July 21 released new proposed energy-efficiency standards for water heaters. This is the latest round in the administration’s ongoing home-invasion campaign in the name of stopping climate change and saving the world, all while actively making life harder for everyday Americans. If finalized as currently written, beginning in 2029, this regulation would require new boiler installations to use

A pair of recent reports on the state of homelessness in Los Angeles seemed to send mixed signals about how the effort to bring people in from the streets is going. The first came was an announcement from Mayor Karen Bass, who said last month that her administration has helped shelter 14,381 unhoused people, largely by focusing on the encampments that have become symbols of this dismaying problem. This represents a major step forward in addressing homelessness, given that Bass pledged to find housing – permanent or interim – for 17,000 people in her first year. So 14,000 in the

Men are invading female spaces, stealing championships, and mocking the very meaning of “woman”— subtly attempting to reverse centuries of progress. The testimony from Chloe Cole and former University of Pennsylvania swimmer Paula Scanlan at a Congressional hearing on Thursday again points to a troubling emptiness in the narrative – where are the feminists? Despite the obvious attack on women’s rights and all the achievements they fought so hard for, the headlines are empty of major feminists championing these women. Where are the Gloria Steinems of today? Why are high level feminist activists freely allowing the regression of women’s rights?

The general in charge of Ukraine's stuttering counter-offensive in the south has said Russian defences are making it difficult for military equipment, including Western tanks and armoured vehicles, to move forward. Gen Oleksandr Tarnavskyi says his forces are struggling to overcome multi-layered minefields and fortified defensive lines. "That is why most of the tasks have to be performed by troops." He says Russia's military has displayed "professional qualities" by preventing Ukrainian forces from "advancing quickly". (Snip) But so far there's little evidence that Western supplied tanks and armoured vehicles have been able to tip the balance decisively in Ukraine's favour.

The Biden administration on Friday proposed tightening an efficiency standard for new residential water heaters — a move that it said would both save consumers money and combat climate change. The draft rule would require that, in order to become more efficient, most common-size electric water heaters use heat pump technology and gas-powered heaters use condensing technology. The proposal from the Energy Department would cut 501 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions over 30 years, the department said. That’s the equivalent of the emissions of 134 coal-fired power plants in one year. The department also said the standards would

I really don’t like the President of the United States. Joe Biden has spent his life working tirelessly toward one thing more than anything else: to convince people he is a good man. He is not and never has been, as evidenced by how it took four years and political pressure from New York Times columnists to acknowledge the existence of one of his grandchildren. Now that people are beginning to notice and ask questions about things like how he got so rich, Joe has defaulted to the only defense left for him: He’s not corrupt, he’s just a horrible parent and brother.
