FOX News Crash-and-Burn: Only One-Third

It was a rough month for FOX News. For anyone who’s been paying any attention to what a post-Tucker Carlson landscape would look like at Fox News, two things are pretty apparent: That landscape is pretty barren. The suddenly-beleaguered news network has lost so many viewers, its stock was downgraded. Fox News is trying anything — or perhaps flailing about — in response to hemorrhaging viewers, including some shakeups to its primetime lineup. Following all of the recent turmoil FOX News has lost the trust of American conservatives. Only one-third of self-described conservatives trust FOX News the most. They may never gain back those former viewers. And it doesn’t appear to be a priority.

I'm surprised that it is that high, if it actually is. I don't trust Fox and entirely stopped watching the channel about September of 2020, haven't once tuned in for just under three years. I don't miss it at all.

I never was a fan of the daytime hosts/hostesses: morning crew. mid-morning (cannot stand Dana Perino), noon shows featuring a bunch women wearing their eff me pumps yakking away, Harris Faulkner with her one pound of eye makeup on each eye and then the afternoon crew of Sandra Smith (we called Arizona for Biden) and John Roberts, Cavuto of course, The Five (Just do not get their appeal) and Special Report. Watched the evening shows like Tucker and Laura at times. Jesse Walters has his moments but a bit sophmoric at times for me. So yeah, do not miss Fox at all and haven't for some time now.

I only watched The Five and Gutfeld. A few nights ago Gutfeld said something so obscene that I won't watch him again. He is a one trick pony with all the sexual innuendo at totally inappropriate times. And I"m about ready to ditch the Five because of the moron Jessica Tarlov. I realize that finding an intelligent leftist is an oxymoron because if someone was intelligent they wouldn't be leftist but still, she really is dumb.

I stopped watching Fox after the early call of Arizona became the the vote-steal signal in swing states. Trump's huge lead in Pennsylvania vanished in mere seconds, for example. In other states boatloads of Biden votes were "counted" after windows were shuttered to keep out prying eyes. Neil Cavuto was ecstatic with the new vote counts. Fox News is history for me.

In the mornings between 6 and 9 AM I am tuned to Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business Channel, and I watch her Sunday morning show on Fox News, but I was essentially done with FNC on Election Night 2020 with the treacherous early call of a state where fraud was chugging along. I couldn't five Fox a pass on that because it was enemy action from those I used to trust. How's that Paul Ryan working out, Murdochs?

The loss of Tucker Carlson was catastrophic. He anchored the opinion side of Fox. His monologues often were the object of discussion online. Jesse Watters, Carlson’s replacement, means well but has brought too much silliness, such as “man on the street” interviews, intrusive movie clips to make a point and text messages from viewers to end the show. Laura Ingraham should have been the one to take the Carlson spot. She is serious and treats the audience as adults. Her analysis is comprehensive, especially concerning legal matters. Hannity is awful. Repetitive and obsessed with Hillary Clinton, hoping fruitlessly that her day of reckoning will come. Many of his guests are worthwhile although their appearances are marred by constant interruptions. Frequently the odious Lindsay Graham graces his program, contributing absolutely nothing. It’s a mess yet apparently he gets enough viewers to keep him employed.

Was a big fan of Fox News when it started in the late 90s. After CNN became the Clinton News Network it was awesome to have a "Fair and Balanced" I started not regularly watching when they canned O'Reily and Beck. When they replaced the latter with The Five, I tried watching again but I hated Perino and Beckel. When they hired Carlson, I watched him as he was a good replacement for O'Reily. I even kept watching when that sawed off runt Chris Wallace helped Shower King Joe in the debate with PDJT. Then he had the nerve to say his performance was good. I gave up completely when AZ was called early even while precincts (strangely in heavily Republican counties) were still open. After Tucker was fired, I knew it was the end of the network. The Fox News Channel is doing what CNN did during the Clinton regime. A 24-hour news organization that cannot be trusted to report so that We the People can decide.

An attorney for former President Trump spent Sunday fiercely defending his client in a series of TV interviews that aimed to reset the narrative in the case related to Trump’s efforts to cling to power after losing the 2020 presidential election. John Lauro, one of two attorneys who were alongside Trump last week during his arraignment, appeared on all five major Sunday morning political TV shows, collectively known as a “full Ginsburg” — albeit a modern-day one since he was not in the studio for all five — where he continued to mold his legal defense of the former president.

In exchange, he’s serving a third term as president behind the scrim while the demented present officeholder serves as a front.

Nearly two years ago, Virginia Republicans stunned the D.C. pundit class after mounting an electoral upset in the increasingly blue commonwealth. By capitalizing on issues like Covid lockdown policies and parental rights, the state GOP not only took control of the House of Delegates; it also swept in races for governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general. Now, with the state rapidly approaching its upcoming General Assembly elections, the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV) is seeking to embrace a Democrat-favored election strategy in order to turn the state completely red this November. Shortly after the Obama-Biden White House huddle, Trump was indicted again by the federal government. Joe Biden doesn’t have a real strategy to win in 2024. Biden doesn’t have a record to run on because inflation is still high, gas prices are still high and the majority of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track. Of all the outrages in Biden special counsel Jack Smith’s latest indictment of Donald Trump — and there are many — the worst comes at the end of the 45-page screed’s Count One, the section titled “The Defendant’s Exploitation of the Violence and Chaos at the Capitol.” This is where Smith waves the bloody shirt. Smith intends to try Trump for the Capitol riot even though he hasn’t charged Trump for the Capitol riot. No rioting charge. No allegation of criminal incitement. No seditious conspiracy, no insurrection, no crime of violence of any kind. To levy such an allegation would have been untenable. Smith’s indictment hides the ball, as did the like-minded.
