Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday rejected Donald Trump's claim that he was the true winner of the 2020 presidential election in his most forceful comments to date on the matter. "Whoever puts their hand on the Bible on Jan. 20 every four years is the winner," DeSantis told NBC News correspondent Dasha Burns in his first broadcast network interview since he launched his presidential campaign. DeSantis continued to discuss all the ways he believed the previous presidential election was not perfect. But pressed further, he clearly stated that Trump lost. "But respectfully, you did not clearly answer that question," Burns said. "And if you can’t give

I am a DeSantis supporter and this is stupid and out of character for a guy with great common sense. Trump won but they stole it with overnight ballot drops and other illegal acts. If DeSantis doesn’t recognize that, we are doomed to have history repeat itself.

Ron, don't be stupid. Anyone can be declared winner. In a free country, as opposed to a Banana Republic, the winner is who garners, not the greatest number of votes, but the larger number of voters. If you can't figure that out, you do not belong in office.

Gov. Ron is right. Trump lost in 2020. Couple of ways I can tell. We are living under the reign of the Evil Sleepy Creepy Crooked President Uncle Joe and not under President Trump. Now was it a "fair election?" That's an entirely different question. If Democrats can question their election losses, so can we.

The balloting was not the only fraud. The suppression of information and the utter corruption of the fbi cia and doj and the NY atty general and other organs of government- or tools of the dims- are creating a crisis of nearly unprecedented magnitude. We know from history that the dim party will freely start a civil war if they think it will bring them power. I think they would love to send helicopter gunships against republican country. Big bidet himself made reference to weapons needed by civilians to fight government jets. Perhaps this is the longstanding threat that created RHINOs. I’m pretty sure Trump is more hated than bush ever was. Bush was so quiet. But he was a red neck cowboy to be hated by the dims. Certainly Trump’s mannerisms create an easy target for the dims to use to foment hatred at perhaps an unprecedented and unreasoning levels. The dims seem to be saying that they will take us to civil war unless The Establishment is left to do what it’s been doing. Trump opposed that. Desantis seems to think it’s business as usual, and that he can use the dims’ corruption against Trump for his own benefit. Not a good look. As the election and these trials heat up life will get more surreal. I hope that the reality of where the Dims are taking this will frighten or disgust The Gullibles to overwhelmingly reject the dims’ course of action. Otherwise …..

To even say that after all the data that has come out, been verified and reported by good election workers put under oath is not just listening to bad advisers. This guy is exactly who Trump says he is. He IS who his big donors are and he says and does what they want. The RNC and Bush-Rove strategists are clueless that they are not dealing with a weak Tea party movement. We had no spokesman and no bold leader. Let's just say there were a lot of unique voting situations, primarily as a result of the pandemic, that seemed to always benefit Democrats. And, Pence needs to come clean on the emergency powers that changed how they counted the 2020 Electoral College votes, which precluded any challenges - how this was unlike any previous election.

The headline is misleading. De Santis did not say that the ballots were all or mostly legal or were properly counted. If i understand right, he only said that in the end the Presidency goes to whoever wins the count in the electoral college. The final answer is given this way per the Constitution, for lack of a better way. If I understand right, that is all De Santis said. He did not say the ballots were OK. And it is not a terrible thing to say, since we can't go around saying Biden is illegitimate and everything he has done must be unpicked and that generals and judges ought to intervene. The Constitution has said that doubtful cases, which this is one of, are settled by the Electoral College, not by guns and judges. That is all De Santis said if I understand right. It was OK.

This may get him Liz Cheney's vote. Seriously, DeSantis has gone about this all wrong. He should not have run in 2024. He is not well-known enough outside of Florida and is basically Trump-lite. He should have waited until 2028--or at least until it looked like Trump could be beat., He would have been a speaker at the the 2024 convention and drawn national attention. That would have set him up for the next election. Turning on Trump now will not help him and will probably sink his campaign permanently.

DeSantis announced State Attorney Monique Worrell's suspension Wednesday at Florida's capitol building, while taking a rare step away from his presidential campaign. On Tuesday, Trump wrote: President Trump: So now that I have full Subpoena Power because of the Freedom of Speech Sham Indictment by Crooked Joe Biden, Deranged Jack Smith, and the DOJ, it has just been reported that the Unselect January 6th Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs has illegally destroyed their Records and Documents. This is unthinkable, and the Fake Political Indictment against me must be immediately withdrawn. The system is Rigged & Corrupt,

If you once served as Vice President of the United States, polling below 5% in your own party's presidential primary can trigger a stream of unbridled bitterness. Case in point: Mike Pence, who, in a Real Clear Politics poll published through August 2, 2023, polled at 4.8 percent among Republican voters, trailing the previously-unknown Vivek Ramaswamy, who had 5.2 percent. Like a freezing cold bucket of reality splashed onto Pence’s face, losing to a 37-year-old entrepreneur who, six months ago, nobody ever heard of, has apparently unleashed the floodgates of animosity harbored deep within. Embittered by his demise, Pence now fumes against President Trump,

Proterra, an electric bus company that received heavy backing from President Joe Biden’s administration, filed for bankruptcy on Monday. The Burlingame, California-based EV company has been a source of controversy for the Biden administration because Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm hyped the company in her official capacity despite the fact that she previously served on Proterra’s board and held over a million dollars worth of stock in the company even after she was confirmed as the head of Biden’s Energy Department. /snip/ Three months into his presidency, Biden held a virtual tour of the electric bus company’s South Carolina factory to promote his $1.9 trillion infrastructure plan.

The Biden administration announced Tuesday that it has designated nearly 1 million acres in Arizona outside the Grand Canyon as a monument, a move that could further America’s reliance on Russia for sourcing uranium, according to the White House. The monument designation will permanently prohibit new mining claims in the covered 917,618 acres, parts of which are known for having rich deposits of uranium, an essential material for generating nuclear energy, according to E&E News. The Biden administration is justifying the designation by pointing to the land’s cultural significance to local Native American tribes in accordance with its wider push for “environmental justice,” according to the White House.

During an interview with The Weather Channel on Tuesday aired on Wednesday, President Joe Biden said that, “Practically speaking,” he’s “already” declared a national emergency on climate change. He stated that, as part of this practical emergency declaration on climate, “we’ve conserved more land,” “rejoined the Paris Climate Accord,” and “we’ve passed a 368 billion-dollar climate control [initiative].” Weather Channel Meteorologist Stephanie Abrams asked, “Mr. President, you called climate change a code red for humanity. The World Health Organization said it would cause an additional quarter of a million deaths a year starting in 2030. Are you prepared to declare a national emergency

On August 2, two days before Barack Obama’s reported sixty-second birthday, the Jewish journal Tablet published an interview with Pulitzer Prize-winning civil rights historian David Garrow. Asking the questions and providing extensive commentary of his own was the well-traveled journalist David Samuels. Although Garrow is a progressive and Samuels something of a centrist, their evaluation of Obama’s tenure in the White House borders on cruel. The exchange between the two deserves to be read in full. Rather than summarize that exchange, I will focus on a few key truths, both those they nailed and those that squirmed away. Most intriguing in the latter category are the questions about Obama’s literary talents and

President Biden's latest gaffe came Tuesday as he inaccurately said the Grand Canyon is one of the "nine" wonders of the world. He made the error during a speech at Red Butte Airfield in Arizona, just a few miles south of the Grand Canyon, in a speech focused on his administration's climate agenda and conservation efforts. "Folks, it's not hyperbole to suggest that there is no national treasure — none that is grander than the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon — one of the Earth's nine wonders, wonders of the world, literally. Think of that. You know, it's amazing. An enduring symbol of America to the entire world," Biden said.
