The multilateral trade agreement known as the Transpacific Partnership (TPP), is a massive pacific rim trade agreement favored by Wall Street, the US Chamber of Commerce, Club for Growth, Ron DeSantis (voted to approve) and now candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.President Trump famously took the U.S. out of the TPP agreement around the same time he took us out of the Paris Climate Agreement. As noted by President Trump and his economic team at the time, Free Trade Agreements (FTA’s) are beneficial to the USA when they are bilateral between the U.S. and another singular nation. Multinational trade agreements end up serving the interests of the least common denominator nation

We know what we want. We know what we don’t need. If someone younger who fully embraces the Trump agenda shows up, well know. They don’t just magically appear with unspecified donors and no resistance from never Trumpers.
I can think of a dozen people in this salon whose perspectives have been made known over the years and I could support any of them.

Wrong move, Vivek, but it's good to know that you are talking out of 2 sides of your mouth. Your previous association with Soros does not sit well with me either.

This is why if it isn't Trump running, I have no reason to vote. Every last stinking one of these republicrats is a democrat stooge. I've been voting for these turds for over 50 years and have always wondered why things only changed for the worse. No more.

I’d need to know more fully about this trade deal to know whether it is good or bad. My instinct is that we need it like we need a hole in our heads. Trump’s position that bilateral is better than multilateral is right. One point for Trump minus one for Ramaswamy. Minus one also for the hysterical Sundance who decrees Ramaswamy must not have any position in a Trump administration. I think Trump would be the one to decide that.

I think it is great that these sorts are exposing themselves so early in the game.
I liked Vivek up until a week ago, and could have supported him based on what I thought I knew about him, had he been a Natural Born Citizen. But now I wouldn't vote for him to be a small town mayor.

Sometimes it seems to me like Sundance would be OK changing the name of our country to the United States of Trump. As much as I loved Reagan, I still had a favorable view of Kemp and saw no need to trash Bush 41. Yes, in 2015, DeSantis voted for the TPP, along with 189 other House republicans. Bad on all 190 of them, although DeSantis was a 36 year old freshman member, and freshmen are typically heavily influenced by the GOP leadership, which was strongly pushing the 'Aye' votes on TPP. As a young Navy man, I once voted for Carter but never again have I voted for any democrat for any office. In contrast, a mere 6 years prior, to the TPP vote, Trump, at age 63, an age when one's political identification (party preference) is pretty well set, was a registered democrat. Bad on him but he gets the royal pass on his missteps, even though he was old enough to know better, especially with Obama as the democrat standard-bearer. In further contrast, by 1952, at age 41, Ronald Reagan left the democrat party, supported Eisenhower for president and never looked back. In 2023, DeSantis has been a disappointment and Ramaswamy appears to lack seasoning, if not conservative grounding. Trump may be the best choice of the current GOP field but I don't share the undying faith in him that many apparently do. I suppose time will tell but first my country must survive Biden, who makes Carter look better than I believe he actually was.

This reminds me of that horrible Hollywood movie years ago, "Snakes on a Plane." Except that now we have, "Snakes in Our Party," with these decidedly un-American, money-lusting, 'boys' of little principle. Taking orders from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the FIRST mistake. What follows that is taking phone calls from Klaus Schwab of the WEF.

#12, Angry old Trumpsters, really? Come on. You can do better than that. Many of us support President Trump because we trust him and there’s not too much trust going around these days. Most of the time you vote and cross your fingers hoping it wasn’t a huge mistake. I do not have that feeling with Trump. When it comes to which policy is best for this country, Trump agrees with the majority of Americans that this country should be the President’s top priority. You don’t hear that much from Republican candidates and we have certainly not experienced it except during the Trump administration. Clearly, democrats believe he will do what is best for this country and that is why they detest him. Their political philosophy stands in direct opposition. They are globalist nitwits championing policies that hurt this country and its people. Until someone comes along with a proven record of putting the country first, Trump gets my support. I don’t care how articulate, young or attractive they are. I am going with the guy who I know will stand with us and against the Marxist globalists trying to destroy the West. I give it to you, I am old but not old enough to be bamboozled into voting against the best interests of my country.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement requires member countries to subordinate and conform their internal laws to all regulations passed by an unelected and unaccountable Trans Pacific Commission. National sovereignty is given up.
Support for TPP is the opposite of America First. Ramaswamy just ended any hopes he might have had for the VP slot.

Well #12, all Americans did much better under Trump's first term as President. We know where he stands on the issues and he has a proven record. Vivek, who I generally like many of his ideas, is just talk like all the other candidates except for Donald Trump. What I will do when elected President blah blah blah.

#14, if you ask him any questions, expect him to tell you what you want to hear, not necessarily the truth. RINOs get us suckered every time by telling us what we want to hear and then acting the opposite once they're elected.

# 29, Sundance is wrong about DeSantis. There, solved it for ya.
Trump cannot win the general election. Those who think he can are living in the past and hanging on to a fantasy. Rightly or wrongly, the voters who decide elections (or give the Dems a close enough margin to cheat) DO NOT WANT a reprise of Donald Trump. Great man (however flawed), did great things for our country, but the average voter is oblivious.
So if you want to scuttle all the GOP's young talent, self-righteously go down in flames in '24 and help to usher in the permanent leftist state go ahead and do so. Your grandchildren will be most grateful. /s.
