DOJ Forced to Clarify Letter on Archer's
Jail Time Just Before Meeting With House Oversight

Update: The New York Post's Miranda Devine tweeted out an update on early Monday morning, in the form of a letter from the Southern District of New York (SDNY) making clear that they don't expect Archer to surrender before his Monday testimony before the House Oversight Committee. Writing to U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams, U.S. Attorney Damian Williams noted that "[t]o be clear, the Government does not request (and has never requested) that the defendant surrender before his Congressional testimony." The letter also added that the process involved "can take several weeks or months after the Court sets a surrender date."

Comments:

Gotta wonder if the DOJ expected this level of blowback.

This was still an attempt to intimidate him before his testimony, the Bidens and his Dept of Justice and the FBI are all about covering for Hunter and mostly covering for Joe. They should all be in jail, from the top down!

The DOJ could not prevent him from testifying, but they can remind him that they own his butt for the next few year, so tread carefully.

I’m wondering if they “got to” Archer with threats to him and his family. Will he claim he doesn’t know for sure who the “ big guy” is? Will he now say he never heard Joe on the speaker phone, could of big one of the brothers? Biden seems so smug and chill, I’m really afraid they got Archer to change his testimony.

I've learned that there are sentences, and that there are sentences within sentences. I'm not talking about grammar. How and where the sentence is spent --medium, minimal or maximum security or solitary -- is not decided in any courtroom or even in the light of day, and evidently prosecutors can exert considerable influence on the assignment.

In a recent critique, television star and car enthusiast Jeremy Clarkson has voiced serious concerns about the safety of electric vehicles, calling them “bloody dangerous.” His concern goes beyond cars to other devices powered by batteries, like electric bikes. Clarkson writes, “People have died, and that’s not surprising when you learn that a fully charged e-bike contains the same explosive energy as six hand grenades.” In a recent critique of electric vehicles published in the Sun newspaper, Jeremy Clarkson, known for his forthright opinions on automotive matters, has cited numerous incidents of electric cars and bikes catching fire, including fires on ships carrying electric vehicles.

I really don’t like the President of the United States. Joe Biden has spent his life working tirelessly toward one thing more than anything else: to convince people he is a good man. He is not and never has been, as evidenced by how it took four years and political pressure from New York Times columnists to acknowledge the existence of one of his grandchildren. Now that people are beginning to notice and ask questions about things like how he got so rich, Joe has defaulted to the only defense left for him: He’s not corrupt, he’s just a horrible parent and brother.

U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika, who is handling Hunter Biden’s currently defunct plea deal, doesn’t seem too pleased. And why would she be? On Wednesday, she was presented with an absolute circus after the DOJ tried to pass off an unprecedented agreement whereby Hunter Biden would receive near global immunity. Instead of putting that in the plea deal itself, it was buried in a pre-trial diversion agreement for a gun charge. After pressing the two sides, it became clear that a wink-and-nod deal had been formulated whereby the immunity would stand, but wouldn’t be made public as part of the plea.

It appears the battle over Florida’s black history curriculum has entered into a new phase. A fiery debate was ignited over parts of the state’s educational standards on chattel slavery. Now, the discussion has continued to rage on the airwaves and interwebs. The debate centers on a line in Florida’s standards which reads: “Instruction includes how slaves developed skills which, in some cases, could be applied for their personal benefit.” Democrats in Congress are now taking a questionable step in response to Florida’s curriculum. The Congressional Black Caucus is now calling on the Biden administration to use federal power to possibly compel the state’s government to alter its standards:

Current polls, pundits, and politicos insist that the 2024 race is a sure rematch between former President Donald Trump and incumbent President Joe Biden. It may well turn out that way. But in past election cycles, summer polls 15 months before the general election usually did not mean much. In December 2003, the CBS poll headline blared, "Dean pulls away in Dem race." Howard Dean would eventually be clobbered by nominee John Kerry. In the Gallup Poll of late June 2007, Hillary Clinton still continued to enjoy her wide lead in the Democratic primary over eventual nominee and elected president Barack Obama.

Last week, Barack Obama’s private chef, Tafari Campbell, fell off his paddle board and sank below the surface of Edgartown Great Pond. His drowned body was recovered on Monday morning in the water off the former president’s Martha’s Vineyard estate. Currently, there’s no foul play suspected, and it’s worth noting that Campbell was not wearing a lifejacket. However, certain peculiarities have presented themselves, causing some people to raise questions. For example, the reason for the 911 call that prompted the search was left blank in official logs. The person Campbell was with at the time of the accident remains unidentified, and the police have refused to disclose the person’s name.
