Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin has denied a correlation between homosexuality and clerical sex abuse, calling it a “serious and scientifically untenable association.”
(snip)
Bill Donohue, a sociologist and president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, has noted that regardless of his intentions, Cardinal Parolin is factually mistaken. The most extensive study ever undertaken of clerical sex abuse, conducted by the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, found that a full 81 percent of victims of sexual abuse by priests were males.

The CEO of Bud Light’s parent company still won’t admit putting transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney’s picture on a can of beer was a mistake, despite an enormous backlash that has cost the brand its perch atop the market.
Brendan Whitworth, a Marine Corps veteran and ex-CIA employee, appeared Wednesday on CBS “This Morning,” where he called the backlash “divisive.” Bars, restaurants, and retail stores have reported the thirst for Bud Light bottomed out in April after Mulvaney released a TikTok video showing the custom can while celebrating 365 days of “being a woman.”

Democratic Rhode Island state Senator Joshua Miller, who police arrested last week for allegedly vandalizing a vehicle with a “Biden Sucks” sticker parked at an outdoor shopping area, reportedly faces additional charges after denying involvement in the incident to police.
On Thursday, Cranston Police charged Miller with vandalism and malicious injury to property after a suspect accused the lawmaker of “keying” an SUV in the Garden City Center parking lot. When confronted about the incident, Miller denied the accusation to the victim and authorities and was initially let go.

The White House appeared Friday to have changed its story on President Joe Biden’s role in his family’s business affairs, claiming that Biden was “not in business” with his son, Hunter.
Previously, on the campaign trail in 2019-20, Joe Biden said: “I have never discussed, with my son or my brother or with anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses. Period.” But that story appeared to change on Friday. When reporters began asking the White House to respond to accusations by an IRS whistleblower that Joe and Hunter Biden were together when the latter pressured a Chinese contact to send money, the response changed:

National Hockey League (NHL) teams will no longer wear rainbow-colored LGBTQ-themed jerseys during pregame warmups for Pride nights.
NHL Pride Nights became a hot topic of conversation earlier this year when Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Ivan Provorov refused to participate in his team’s Pride Night due to his orthodox Christian faith, sparking outrage from leftists who proceeded to accuse him of bigotry and homophobia. However, the Philadelphia Flyers kept him in the lineup, and the team even went on to win the game against the Anaheim Ducks.

An Ohio school allegedly launched a bullying campaign against two moms, accusing them of being "threats" after they exposed left-wing bias in the school, according to a complaint. (snip) "One teacher stated, on the first day of class, that he would not communicate with any student who supported President Trump," the complaint said. (snip) After that, the complaint said, "the Academy’s head of Security… filed a false police report against the Parent Plaintiffs with the Gahanna Police Department."
The school followed up by notifying faculty it had reported Gonzalez and Gross to the FBI, according to the complaint. Gonzalez believed it was "predatory alienation."

Hunter Biden illegally deducted tens of thousands of dollars in payments made to a prostitute and a sex club from his taxes, according to bombshell IRS whistleblower testimony to Congress released on Thursday.
In a June 1 interview with the House Ways and Means Committee, one whistleblower, an unnamed IRS criminal investigator, detailed how Hunter went to great lengths to underreport his income and avoid paying $106,000 in taxes – including by writing off his sex escapades as business expenses. (snip) The whistleblowers also found that Hunter expensed a deposit for an elite Los Angeles sex club membership by listing it as a golf membership.

Debris has been found in the search for the missing Titan submersible, reportedly including parts of its outside cover.
Dive expert David Mearns told the BBC the president of the Explorers Club - which is connected to the diving community - says the debris includes "a landing frame and a rear cover from the submersible".
The US Coast Guard earlier said a "debris field" had been found.
It is now being analysed.
The debris was located by a remote-controlled underwater search vehicle (ROV) near the wreck of the Titanic.

I have not spent any time today listening to John Durham’s testimony, which I find fundamentally uninteresting. He managed to craft a report that, even as it hinted at a damning coup attempt within the government against the duly elected president, nevertheless gave everyone involved what amounted to a pass. Maybe it’s that jaundiced attitude that leaves me unimpressed with the fact that Durham claims that most FBI agents are really good people.

The authors of a children’s book about a penguin with two dads are suing the Florida Board of Education and a Florida school district for restricting their publication to children above third grade.
The authors of the picture book “And Tango Makes Three” filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday claiming that restricting access to the book in school libraries violates the First Amendment. (snip) “Our book has been banned because Tango has two dads,” said author Justin Richardson. Richardson and his husband, Peter Parnell, authored the book together.

The founder of the company whose submersible became lost on a dive to view the wreckage of the Titanic, sparking a frantic, deep-sea rescue effort that has riveted people around the world, once declared he didn’t want to hire “50-year-old white guys” on his team even if they were seasoned submariners. (snip) “When I started the business, one of the things you’ll find, there are other sub operators out there, but they typically have gentlemen who are ex-military sub-mariners, and they — you’ll see a whole bunch of 50-year-old white guys,” Rush told Teledyne Marine representatives before the expedition began.

Not that this had anything to do with anything, but the Los Angeles Dodgers were humiliated by their archrival this weekend after deciding to host and honor a group of anti-Catholic drag queens at their Pride Night event on Friday. (snip) So, to recap, the Dodgers alienated thousands of their loyal fans, virtually every national and California-based Catholic diocese and political organization, and angered millions of Christians of every denomination nationwide.
(snip)
Then, the Dodgers suffered their worst loss in 125 years while getting swept in a three-game series at home by their archrival for only the sixth time since both teams moved to California in 1958.
