Debris has been found in the search for the missing Titan submersible, reportedly including parts of its outside cover. Dive expert David Mearns told the BBC the president of the Explorers Club - which is connected to the diving community - says the debris includes "a landing frame and a rear cover from the submersible". The US Coast Guard earlier said a "debris field" had been found. It is now being analysed. The debris was located by a remote-controlled underwater search vehicle (ROV) near the wreck of the Titanic. Everything found, except for the "biological material" and the carbon fiber cylinder.

The carbon fiber cylinder may have imploded and be a barely recognizable flattened, black bit of cloth. If the window blew in, a column of water, driven by about 2 million pounds of force would blow in. I suspect it would behave like a solid and hit the far end like a cannon shot, the 'splash' in all directions.

Thankfully, death was instant. It was heartbreaking for me to think of the father watching his son die as their O2 ran out. I doubt they knew what hit them.

I have pulled small stainless steel cylinders up from 3000 feet (not 12,000). They were crushed so bad you could see the outline of the computer chips. If this thing collapsed the debris field would cover a football field.

For a more common example of what likely happened to them, think about what remains of a mosquito when you smack it between your hands. Or take a sledge hammer to an empty Coke can.

Hunter Biden illegally deducted tens of thousands of dollars in payments made to a prostitute and a sex club from his taxes, according to bombshell IRS whistleblower testimony to Congress released on Thursday. In a June 1 interview with the House Ways and Means Committee, one whistleblower, an unnamed IRS criminal investigator, detailed how Hunter went to great lengths to underreport his income and avoid paying $106,000 in taxes – including by writing off his sex escapades as business expenses. (snip) The whistleblowers also found that Hunter expensed a deposit for an elite Los Angeles sex club membership by listing it as a golf membership.

I don’t buy Durham’s excusing FBI

I have not spent any time today listening to John Durham’s testimony, which I find fundamentally uninteresting. He managed to craft a report that, even as it hinted at a damning coup attempt within the government against the duly elected president, nevertheless gave everyone involved what amounted to a pass. Maybe it’s that jaundiced attitude that leaves me unimpressed with the fact that Durham claims that most FBI agents are really good people.

The US Navy revealed that they knew the Titan submersible, which was diving to see the remains of the Titanic wreck, imploded on Sunday. We have sonar detection and acoustic networks for our national defense, and this classified system picked up the moment when this craft and the five people inside it perished. So, why did we waste an inordinate amount of time rushing to rescue people some in the government knew to be dead? The Coast Guard, Canadian military units, and unmanned submersibles from France that can go to these extreme depths joined the rescue effort that covered at least 10,000 square miles. Let’s recap the official story
