Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin has denied a correlation between homosexuality and clerical sex abuse, calling it a “serious and scientifically untenable association.” (snip) Bill Donohue, a sociologist and president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, has noted that regardless of his intentions, Cardinal Parolin is factually mistaken. The most extensive study ever undertaken of clerical sex abuse, conducted by the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, found that a full 81 percent of victims of sexual abuse by priests were males.

Perhaps LGBTQ should be LGBTQP, and that 'P' stands for pedophile. They have similar goals like grooming children.

#6, celibacy has a long history of spiritual value in several religions. The fact that we live in a now sex-obsessed society keep most from understanding that. No one is forced to enter the priesthood. Those who do know what they are getting into. It certainly isn’t for everybody, but it is not a risk factor for pedophelia. Most pedophiles are married heterosexuals.

#8 Please reread my post, it in no way states or even implies anything about pedophilia being connected to being celibate. If one chooses to be celibate that is there choice; however, the Catholic Church took that choice away if an individual wanted to serve God as a priest. Man has always been sex obsessed but having or desiring sex does not make one immoral or evil. It is a matter of degrees and actions. I am not going to debate the spirituality of celibacy but personally I do not see much spiritual value in it nor does it necessarily makes those who choose that to be more spiritual than others. The fact remains that the Catholic Church mandates that men be celibate and that a statistically significant number of priests are unable to abide by that with devastating consequences for others. And the comment that no one is forced to enter priesthood certainly does not apply to women entering into becoming a nun as this was/is one of the few avenues to escape extreme poverty, and again the same restrictions regarding sex being placed on them as well.

These perverted pedophiles go where the children are. Facts are facts. They became scout masters to be around young boys and destroyed the boy scouts, they became priests to be around young altar boys and destroyed the church and now they become teachers to be around young children and are destroying the classroom. And our sick government gives them a pride month, a whole month to show how mentally ill and perverted they are by admitting they are after our children. Anybody who denies this is living under a rock. Got it.

I honestly believe that most homosexuals that entered the priesthood did so with good intentions. They knew that the desires that they had were sinful and wrong, and assumed if they became priests and took vows of celibacy to God, God would protect them from those desires. Sadly, they failed to understand that God gives us all free will and that Satan would be putting temptation in their minds all the time. So Satan did, and because of the positions that they were in, they had lots of access to, and temptation for, pubescent-aged boys. The pure evil of the desires that Satan set before them, and the pure evil of homosexuality, were too much for them to overcome. And once they gave in one time to those evil desires, Satan owned them!!! To be fair, 98% of all priests over the last century have been faithful to their vows and to God. They have served God by serving the people He put under their care and ministry. They were, and still remain, good and faithful men. But until homosexuality is rooted out from all Christian denominations, this sort of evil will never end!!!

#10, and I would suggest you reread my post, as well. It does not argue what I think you are attempting to defend. If a priest is unable to abide by celibacy, they can leave the priesthood. It’s not a prison. And, as for your non sequitor inclusion about nuns, you’ve lost me.

The Supreme Court of the United States cited former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the decision on Friday to strike down President Biden's student loan forgiveness plan. "As then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi explained: 'People think that the President of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness. He does not. He can postpone. He can delay. But he does not have that power. That has to be an act of Congress,'" Roberts wrote. The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that the Biden administration does not have the authority to unilaterally cancel hundreds of billions in student loan debt.

The White House appeared Friday to have changed its story on President Joe Biden’s role in his family’s business affairs, claiming that Biden was “not in business” with his son, Hunter. Previously, on the campaign trail in 2019-20, Joe Biden said: “I have never discussed, with my son or my brother or with anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses. Period.” But that story appeared to change on Friday. When reporters began asking the White House to respond to accusations by an IRS whistleblower that Joe and Hunter Biden were together when the latter pressured a Chinese contact to send money, the response changed:
