Biden Slams Supreme Court for Affirmative
Action Decision: ‘This Is Not a Normal Court’

President Joe Biden slammed the U.S. Supreme Court for its decision striking down racial preferences in college admissions on Thursday, declaring in the White House: “This is not a normal court.” Biden scheduled a press event to react to the decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard College, in which a group representing Asian-American students sued Harvard and the University of North Carolina over their affirmative action programs. The court struck down racial preferences in college admissions that could not meet the “strict scrutiny” standards of the Constitution’s Fourteenth Amendment.

Yeah, how weird, we are forcing colleges which take in billions of tax dollars to stop determining who gets to use our tax dollars based on skin color. I hope this is the new normal going forward and the last few decades will be written off as a bizarre historical blip.

I don't think posters here are giving sufficient respect to Joe's criticism of SCOTUS as "not normal". After all, didn't he finish in the top half of his law school class, while being the only members on a full scholarship in doing so? Then later, after driving a semi and facing down Cornpop, he was a "professor" at a major university. Despite a bit of plagiarism during his first campaign for president, his academic and intellectual accomplishments boggle the mind. So if Joe says something is "not normal", he oughta know.

I predicted in an earlier thread that it wouldn't take long for him to pop an upper and walk out to publicly slam the decision. The only surprise is that he didn't tell the schools to ignore the decision (which many will probably do any way, given all the behind-closed-doors skullduggery that's part of the college admission process).

Since the election of Donald Trump in 2016, Democrats and their media lackeys have crafted a narrative that they, and only they, are defenders of democracy against encroaching fascism, authoritarianism, and institutional racism. They have also complained about the anti-institutionalism of “MAGA Republicans” who supposedly threaten America’s institutions and rule of law. Of course, this is a big lie considering the constant demeaning of the Supreme Court as “illegitimate” and “not normal.” To Democrats, democracy means getting everything they want and making sure conservatives, Republicans, and especially Christians never get anything they want. Democracy is simply a magical abracadabra word, having now taken on sacred and mystical feeling, to be

(Video) It was a great week for America on the eve of her 247th birthday. The Supreme Court ruled that so-called elite universities could no longer treat vulnerable and historically marginalized Asian students like second-class citizens. The 6-3 decision was a victory for the vast majority of Americans who oppose race-based affirmative action in college admissions. Alas, it was not a good week for President Joe Biden, a supporter of anti-Asian discrimination. The high court concurred with Nancy Pelosi's assessment that Biden lacked the authority to cancel student debt without the consent of Congress, and the president's staff once again failed to prevent him from opening his mouth in public.

The Supreme Court ruled President Joe Biden can't wipe away or reduce student loans held by millions of Americans. In a 6-3 decision, the high court's conservative justices agreed with the suing states that the HEROES Act does not authorize Biden's debt forgiveness plan. At issue was whether the administration had authority to broadly cancel federal student loans because of the COVID-19 emergency. Loan payments that have been on hold since the start of the coronavirus pandemic three years ago are supposed to resume no later than this summer. Without the loan relief promised by the Biden plan, the administration’s top Supreme Court lawyer said, “delinquencies and defaults will surge.”
