Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal ran an op-ed by Justice Samuel Alito titled Justice Samuel Alito: ProPublica Misleads Its Readers. Justice Alito was responding to an innuendo-filled screed that appeared in ProPublica called Justice Samuel Alito Took Luxury Fishing Vacation With GOP Billionaire Who Later Had Cases Before the Court (sorry, no links given to slander mongers). What made the story and op-ed so interesting was that it was not a conservative jurist responding to another stupid “gotcha” story. Justice Alito’s response to ProPublica was published five hours before ProPublica ran the story containing its contrived allegations.

On Tuesday, Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to two federal tax violation charges and one violation of gun laws, essentially triggering the end of the Justice Department’s probe into the president’s son, according to Schweizer. However, the Oversight Committee’s probe into the Bidens remains ongoing and capable of uncovering wrongdoing related to Joe Biden.

If he had any shame at all, he would be apologizing for what they did with that letter. It helped interfere in the 2020 election. It enabled Joe Biden to falsely claim the laptop was Russian disinformation. The organizer of the letter, former CIA Director Mike Morrell, said the intel letter was meant—in his mind—to help Joe Biden during his debate with former President Donald Trump and in the election, to give him a “talking point.”

Hunter Biden will avoid jail time by pleading guilty to two tax misdemeanors and entering a probation agreement for a gun charge with the DOJ, prompting criticism that the legal treatment wasn’t as harsh as former President Donald Trump’s. When asked about the degree of punishment Hunter Biden received, Garland referred the reporter to the U.S. Attorney on the case for questions about the investigation’s conclusion.

Schiff referenced a Trump Tower meeting between Trump Jr. and Russian individuals prior to the 2016 election that the lawmaker claimed constituted a crime. Are you aware, Mr. Durham, that [Robert] Mueller's and Congressional investigations also revealed that Don Jr. was informed that a Russian official was offering the Trump campaign 'very high-level and sensitive information" that would be incriminating of Hillary Clinton…?"

On Tuesday, a federal judge in Arkansas struck down a state law prohibiting irreversible, experimental transgender surgeries and hormone treatments for minors. According to The New York Times, Judge James M. Moody Jr. of Federal Court in Little Rock said in an 80-page opinion that the law discriminated against transgender people and violated the constitutional rights of doctors in the state. Moody was nominated by Democrat President Barack Obama.

Appearing before the House Judiciary committee on Wednesday, Special Counsel John Durham defended his probe into the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation, asserting he found “troubling violations of law and policy” as well as bias among key officials.
The report was published in mid-May and determined that the FBI’s investigation into allegations of collusion between Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russia was improperly opened. Durham also found several examples of the agency mishandling the investigation once it was opened. The special counsel added that in the intervening years, FBI employees have come to him and apologized for the agency’s conduct.
Speaker Kevin McCarthy urged House Republicans to vote against the resolution brought forward by GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado forcing a vote to impeach President Joe Biden this week, arguing now is not the right time, multiple sources in the closed door meeting told CNN.
McCarthy argued that Republicans should let committee investigations play out and warning that jumping to impeachment now could threaten their slim majority, the sources said. The clash of words comes just over a day after Secretary of State Antony Blinken concluded a visit to Beijing that sought to break the ice in a relationship that has hit a historical low.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said Biden’s comments at a fundraiser in California “go totally against facts and seriously violate diplomatic protocol, and severely infringe on China’s political dignity.”
“It is a blatant political provocation. China expresses strong dissatisfaction and opposition,” Mao said at a daily briefing.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott vetoed more than 75 bills before Sunday night’s deadline, mostly sponsored by conservative Texas state senators. Never before in the 178-year history of Texas has its governor vetoed so many bills passed by his own party.
Texas Republicans would override most of these vetoes if they could, but the legislature was required by the state constitution to adjourn in May until 2025. Tens of thousands of hours of work that went into all these bills were washed away by Abbott’s retaliatory strike against conservatives.
One of the bills that Gov. Abbott vetoed was SB 335, authored by conservative state Sen. Dr. Charles Schwertner (R-Georgetown).
On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY) argued that President Joe Biden’s son Hunter “should be commended for taking accountability and accepting responsibility” by accepting a plea deal to likely avoid prison time on a felony gun possession charge and also pleading guilty to tax crimes and eventually paying delinquent taxes.

The media largely ignores the crisis at the southern border for political reasons. Simply put, they don’t want to make Biden look bad and they agree with the idea of flooding the country with people who they expect to vote Democrat.
But there is another major issue tied to the southern border and that is national security.
America’s enemies see that the border is open and some of them are taking advantage of this weakness. In May, the Border Patrol set a record for encounters with terrorism suspects.
The Pentagon said an accounting error resulted in a $6.2billion overestimation of the value of weapons being sent to Ukraine over the last two years as the European nation fights off a Russian invasion.
The significant error means there is a surplus of funds available for future military aid packages sent to Ukraine.
On Tuesday, Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh told the press that the multi-billion error was the result of military services using replacement costs as opposed to the book value of the equipment sent to Ukraine.

Disney’s chief diversity officer is leaving the entertainment conglomerate after a six-year run.
