Geraldo Rivera is departing from the Fox News show The Five.
The 79-year-old shared the news to Twitter with his 376,000 plus followers Wednesday morning:
Morning, it’s official, I’m off @TheFive. My last scheduled show appearances are Thursday and Friday June 29th and 30th. It’s been a great run and I appreciate having had the opportunity. Being odd man out isn’t always easy. For the time being, I’m still Correspondent at Large. (Tweet) Last year, Jessica Tarlov, Harold Ford Jr, and Rivera were named as rotating guest hosts for the show after Juan Williams departed in 2021, the Daily Beast reported.
Praise the Lord.

FTA —- Rivera often clashed with fellow host Greg Gutfeld, and last year he called Gutfeld “an insulting punk” during a debate on abortion, Yahoo news reported.
Rivera also called Dan Bongino a punk and an SOB on live TV. Rivera is a punk know-it-all.

Rivers' shtick was pretty predictable. He'd strut around looking like Tony Orlando hitting on everything even remotely female. That was when he was young.
In more recent years, the tone of his reporting was entirely dependent on skin color. Dark people can do no wrong; light people can do no right.
I not only wont miss him, he's one of the reasons I turned off Fox for good a couple years ago.

Applause. Being obnoxious, wrong, and intolerable has not been easy for the audience either.

Good. Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you. You define media sleaze Jerry and I am glad you are being reduced to barely there.

The only dissident voice that I can abide on The Five is Harold Ford Jr. I don’t agree with him on much of anything but he is civil and polite. He will also concede a point to the crew and occasionally agrees with them. Jessica Turlov’s voice is shrill and annoying and she occasionally loses her cool bringing the show close to a “shout show”, something I despise. I would Fox give Ford a raise and make him a permanent guest.

Harold is fine. Would not mind him all the time but listening to Jessica is like fingernails on a chalk board. She could tell me that Trump and DeSantis are God's gift to America and she is registering as a republican and I would still turn her off. Rivera go home to Ohio and take up fishing. You have a large family go enjoy them.

At 79 Geraldo is only one year younger than Quid Pro Joe whose brain has clearly turned into mush. He has slowed down. He no longer has Marilyn Chambers as a co host and non of the shows he has been on erupted in brawls. In his last few appearances he appears to be trying too hard to be relevant. Time for him to go to the Old Folks Home and whittle on a stick.

Ever notice that Jerry and Jessica can only spew the dem talking points. Everyone else uses their brain and will voice opinion and present facts. Jerry and Jessica have to follow party lines and rules. Jerry really shoujd take Jessica with him. He won’t be missed very much!

His biggest story is one that cannot be topped and the sensational style in which he tries to make himself the news these days will be when he showed a bootleg copy of the Zapruder film of the JFK assassination on his ABC late night show "Goodnight, America" on March 6, 1975.
What ensued was the creation of the House Select Committee on Assassinations which took a NEW look at the the JFK, RFK, MLK and Malcolm X records. This multi-year group largely opened the door for a better peek and left no doubt that the Warren Commission record was largely a sham since they did not get REAL coordination from the alphabet agencies.... in some matters, the cover up continued until Oliver Stone's move in 1991 created a bigger earthquake in the creation of the JFK Act and the ARRB.
THAT is, was, and STILL is an ongoing story-- It;s in the Vegetable's court to either FINALLY tell the truth or continue to hide it away.
He can never top that influence upon the culture and history. He has sold himself down the river opening his mouth being vain to try to stir controversy to remain 'relevant'.
His time is up.

There's a cause for celebration but it would have been a bit more enjoyable when Fox was still somebody instead of second fiddle to MSNBC. Since I quit watching, I will miss Geraldo's last round of stupid remarks and leftist drivel.

Adios. BTW - I just do not get the appeal of The Five. I hope Newsmax doesn't try and hire him. They have enough political has beens as analysts: Bwarney Frank, Mark Halperin, Rick Santorum, etc.

Aside from her voice, I actually like Jessica Tarlov. She comes prepared and can speak...that is. if the insufferable Jesse Watters and Judge Pirro would stop interrupting her. I find Jesse W to be getting way too big for his britches. Ms. Pirro's makeup, hair, clothing and tacky jewelry are getting really outrageous. I guess they are auditioning for Tucker's 8-9 p.m time slot. Otherwise I like Greg!

"Being odd man out isn’t always easy."
But being very odd man way out there is Geraldo's special niche. Whether it's easy or not at any given moment, to him it's just natural -- no thought or real effort required...

I remember two things about Geraldo from his talk show decades ago. The Al Capone empty vault fiasco and when he got hit in the face with a chair. What did he expect was going to happen having the ultra-racist Skin Heads and Black Panthers on stage at the same time. He looked like a world class clown reporting the next day with his nose all bandaged. Jerry Rivers was Jerry Springer before Jerry Springer. On The Five back when I watched Fox News, I recorded the day when he and ex-host Eric Bolling got into it. I was hoping Bolling would give the little arrogant troll a punch to the face. I no longer care what happens at Fox News but it's fitting that clown is finally gone. He can take Jessica Tarlov, Marie Harf, Harold Ford Junior, Brett Baier and Martha MacCallum with him.

Occasionally he has a valid point unlike Jessica who is just there to carry the Dim water. You can count on every aspect of every story is always going to involve him--especially the one more thing segment. He is too old to grasp the nuance the other members throw out there, it is time for him to stay home and play with the great grandchildren.
