We had five years to stop using fossil fuels to prevent wiping out “all of humanity” from June 21st 2018, Greta Thunberg claimed in a now-deleted Tweet. Today is the anniversary of a doomsday prediction made by Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg when she was just 15 years old June 21st 2018, stating the human race had five years to end fossil fuels or face certain death. She wrote then: A top climate scientist is warning that climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.

Comments:

As good a day as any, I suppose. Glad I didn't leave those clothes in the dryer when Greta said I wouldn't need them anymore.

I think it was Fat Albert Gore who, thirty years ago, declared that we would all be doomed in twenty years. It would take several pages to list all the wrong predictions about the end of the world that were spouted by climate “experts “.

How many of us remember the AlGore doomsday countown clock on the Rush Limbaugh Show? AlGore claimed back in 2006 that "Humanity had 10 years left to save the earth from what was then called global warming" as Rush told his audience. The Doomsday scenario ended on January 27, 2016. Then in 1988 actor Ted Danson said we only had 10 years.... It seems that each decade has its dire predictions that History has proven to be WRONG 1960d-- Oil would be depleted in 10 years 1970s-- A New Ice Age was coming 1980s-- Acid rain would destroy Earth's vegetation 1990s-- The Ozone layer would be completely destroyed 2000s-- The polar ice caps were melting Et Cetera... Greta only gave us 5 years with absolutely no data to back it up.... We should all be dead by now.......

Oh yeah ... and let's throw a few props Trump's way. When Trump took office in 2017, AOC said the world had 12 years left. Okay, that means we're outta here in 2029, right. But when Trump left office in 2021, AOC says we got 10 years left. That's 2031, if my math works out. Congrats to President Trump, who in four years in office added 2 more years to humanity!

Interesting that people in China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, India, etc.. don't seem to have the same fatal attraction with the use of oil and natural gasoline as a few who gain headlines from repeating things as if they were true. The "famous" hockey stick theory was just that, and has not come to fruition. And, I recall someone had testified in Congress recently, and was asked if the U.S. achieves zero emissions but they don't reduce the greenhouse gases in China or India, will it matter? The answer was no. We'd have done everything for no impact.

Of course the excuse is that Greta didn't say the world would be wiped out today, but rather "all hope is lost" today. However, if she really believes that "all hope is lost", why is she still protesting? She should be spending her last days putting her considerable affairs in order! Liberals lie (mostly to themselves).

And just imagine the same thing happening all over the world. Tens of millions of people are dying every year. OK - - so it wasn't five years - - but it will be only three or four more. The globalist coalition government in The Netherlands collapsed on Friday evening, with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte tendering his resignation to King Willem-Alexander on Saturday, paving the way for elections to be held by November and the possibility of the populist pro-farmer BBB party to come into power. The fourth government of Mark Rutte, 56, the Netherlands’ longest-serving prime minister, collapsed on Friday evening as coalition partners were seemingly incapable of coming to a compromise on the issue of migration and asylum policy. This marks the third time since coming to power in 2010 that a Rutte government failed to complete a full term in office.

Remarkably, the Biden White House has signaled its “great leap forward” into the global warming, aka climate change, hoax by endorsing a 2021 National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine report calling for implementing various geoengineering schemes to block the amount of sunlight reaching Earth. The announcement came via a June 2023 report issued by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. That report proclaimed on page eight the following: The risks of inaction to reduce greenhouse gas emissions quickly and significantly and limit warming to 1.5° above preindustrial levels are increasingly clear.

Maine may soon allow elective abortions up until birth, pending final approval from the state’s governor. The bill — H.P. 1044, An Act to Improve Maine’s Reproductive Privacy Laws — would allow a woman to receive a late-term abortion at any point if it is determined to be “necessary” by a doctor. It’s likely the legislation will be codified. Maine Governor Janet Mills, a Democrat, introduced the bill in January alongside legislative leadership, both also Democrats: House Speaker Rachel Talbot Ross and Senate President Troy Jackson. At the time, Mills credited the case of Maine woman Dana Peirce as justification for the expanded legalization of abortion.
