Before his death in 1964, Ian Fleming wrote 14 books about James Bond, and the literary franchise, just like 007 himself, has proved unkillable. Writers from Kingsley Amis to Anthony Horowitz have taken up the mantle and produced Bond novels. But we’ve had to wait until now, with Kim Sherwood’s new novel “Double or Nothing,” for the Fleming estate to pass the baton to a woman. Although it would be misleading to say that this latest Bond novel is actually about Bond. More than an addition to the canon, “Double or Nothing” is an expansion of the universe, and an

There hasn't been a Bond movie based on an actual Ian Fleming Bond book in many years so who cares anymore whether he is black, white, male, female, gay, straight, trans, etc.? The "real" James Bond will always be a white male.

Tell me I am wrong, not only does this cropped haired feminist "author" who is destroying the James Bond brand obviously hate men but so does the woke feminist who wrote a review of this woke book. The communist death democrats destroy everything in their wake, James Bond included, but it seems that the most fanatic, evil steeped, hate and rage filled communist death democrats are women. Prove me wrong.

I think we should have Bond in a burkha. That way nobody would have a clue about his gender, skin color, age, race, sexual orientation, physique, religion and whatever else I may be missing. One way to eliminate identity politics. Yes. Bond-in-a-Burkha. It has a nice ring to it.

Superman, Batman. James Bond, Jack Reacher, they all have potential for being black. If a movie production company makes a movie of them and it makes money they will all be black.

Me, too. If James Bond has to be turned into something other than an extremely deadly Anglo-Saxon British male, retire the role and create another character entirely. After Archie Leach (Cary Grant) turned down the lead role in Dr. No, Ian Fleming had an actor in mind, but said actor, Roger Moore, was already employed in the popular Maverick series. So the producers settled on Sean Connery. In retrospect, Fleming admitted that that Connery was the right James Bond. Sean Connery was, and is, the only real James Bond. He defined the role. All other James Bonds are pretenders.

It is sooooo diverse it excludes white males and females. That is not diverse, it is bigoted. Ian Fleming was the actual Bond and the books were based on his own story so to pretend otherwise is pathetic. How is it that there is not enough talent left in the literary world to come up with new characters and new plot lines. Now even books are remakes of novels written by ..... wait for it...... white males. Sad.And if these men are so toxic why are these pathetic women trying to be them? Some of us actually like being women and using our unique talents and skills to achieve our goals. And great women from Cleopatra (a white Greek woman by the way) to Catherine the Great (a white German adopting her white Russian crown) knew how to do it and it was not by pretending to be the opposite sex.

Ian Fleming who wrote the book and created the character in the first place?? Duh// Most people would have no problem if a Studio created other agents and those agents could be played by men, women, minorities and so on. But this is a deliberate slap in the face to all the millions of fans who loved the books and the movies. If he had to be black, I would have loved to see Idris Elba play the role. Not a woman.

Why is it if a white person plays a role written for a minority person, that is "appropriation". But every white role from The Little Mermaid to Tinkerbell to Little Orphan Annie have been played by black people, and all the Holly-weird elitist talk about how "brave" and "enlightened" it is for that to happen! James Bond is a suave white British womanizing secret agent. Always has been -- always will be!!! If they decide to make him anything else in a movie, watch it flame out faster than Bud Light. You would think after woke disaster after woke disaster coming out of Holly-weird, they would get that message. Nope...

Bond died, was toasted by his friends, and the spy business moved on. If his number is given to a woman (which it was), that does not change the Bond legacy. Sean Connery was indeed the best Bond, but gotta love Pierce Bronson in that role. Thought that Daniel Craig did a good job as well.

Think Biden administration regulators have it in for gas stoves? Just wait until you learn what they have in store for air conditioners. In fact, many homeowners are already finding out first hand. It’s all part of team Biden’s prioritization of climate change policy over the interests of consumers. Now that air conditioning season is commencing across most of America, nearly 100 million homeowners are turning on their systems for the first time since last summer, hoping they get cold air. Those that don’t will need repairs, which may require replacing refrigerant that has leaked out of the system. Unfortunately
