“Where’s Pete Buttigieg?” someone shouted at a February 15 town hall meeting in East Palestine, Ohio. “I don’t know,” Mayor Trent Conaway replied. Twelve days earlier, a Norfolk Southern train carrying hazardous chemicals had derailed near the town. Three days later, the company announced it was going to carry out a controlled burn of vinyl chloride that would send dangerous gasses into the air, forcing many of East Palestine’s 4,700 residents to evacuate. They returned after receiving assurances that the air and water were safe, but a strong chemical odor clung to the town, and many continued to complain of headaches, nausea, and burning throats. I wrote earlier about Tucker’s coverage as well as Adam Kinzinger’s continued meltdown. There have been a lot of bad takes. But perhaps one of the worst came from documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, the guy known for his history documentaries. Missouri started this battle back in 2021 when Governor Mike Parsons signed the “Second Amendment Preservation Act” (SAPA) into law. The Act’s language is quite plain, allowing local law enforcement to refuse to cooperate with any federal law enforcement action that seeks to confiscate the guns of its citizens. The law also penalizes any local LE agencies who refuse to adhere to the law. Newton County, Missouri, was the first to kick things off, and other Missouri counties followed suit. Biden’s Department of Justice, which hasn’t found a civil liberties infringement it hasn’t liked, decided it needed to oppose the State of Missouri, claiming it violated the Supremacy Clause.

Two United Airlines planes were involved in a slow-speed collision at Boston Logan International Airport on Monday. It came a week after at the same airport a JetBlue pilot was forced to take 'evasive action' when Learjet 60 crossed the runway when it was preparing to land. It happened as one airliner was being pushed backwards out of its bay and its right wing fouled on the horizontal stabilizer at the rear of an adjacent plane. The incident occurred just before 9am and required United Airlines to disembark all passengers so the the two flight could be rescheduled using different aircraft. Happy Tuesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) When House Speaker Kevin McCarthy released 44,000 hours of previously unseen footage of the J6 insurrection that never was, the collective pants-wetting among the Democrats and their media vultures made it immediately clear that they feared what the American public might find out. They have, after all, been even more married to their J6 lies than their COVID-19 lies ever since President LOLEightyonemillion got into office. Tucker Carlson began slow-playing the rollout of some of the footage on Fox News last night. The narrative: The virus that caused the COVID-19 pandemic was naturally occurring and policymakers and the medical establishment acted only out of concern for our health. The truth: Still largely unknown at this point, but there are growing reasons to believe that it’s not even remotely related to the narrative. Almost every day the Story of COVID unravels, and we learn how much of it was a yarn used to tie us up in knots. Of all the narrative-changing reports that have surfaced, none illustrates this more than a weekend London Telegraph story, which reveals that former British Health Secretary

On Monday afternoon, Adam Jentleson, Fetterman’s chief of staff, posted photos of him and the ailing senator having a “productive” meeting at Walter Reed, discussing the rail safety legislation. The informal way to describe it was this: In a business hierarchy, an employee does well and is promoted. He does well in his new, higher-level job and is promoted again. He does well in that position and is promoted yet again. Finally, he rises to a job that is beyond his abilities. He is no longer promoted and stays in the job he does not do well. The first video and contradiction concerned the people at the Capitol. Carlson pointed to the “QAnon Shaman” — Jacob Chansley, who got four years for his involvement in the events on Jan. 6.
