It’s been a day of the left and their fellow travelers throwing tantrums over Tucker Carlson’s coverage of the Jan. 6 video footage. I wrote earlier about Tucker’s coverage as well as Adam Kinzinger’s continued meltdown.
There have been a lot of bad takes. But perhaps one of the worst came from documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, the guy known for his history documentaries. Now I must admit to having watched some of his work, including on the Civil War and the history of baseball, and enjoying it. If you liked his work and thought he sounded knowledgeable, you may want to adjust your opinion after this.

At least he got it right that we have a republic, not a "democracy" (that most braindead lie-berals like to claim)!
But that is all he got right!!!!! Bless his poor ignorant evil little heart!!!

Ken has spent his life making films/videos/reenactments of historical events in America. If anyone understands the power of video he should. Oh, wait. That's the problem. He does understand that power and what we are being shown. Truth hurts.

Of course he does. He's Ken Burns of the sanctimonious multi-installment leftwing PBS "histories". He has a reputation to live up to, after all.

How do you know when you have found a nest of yellow jackets?
When you run your mower over it.
Well, Tucker has damn sure ran the mower over this nest, thanks to Speaker McCarthy. All the right people are braying like wounded burrows.
I, like many, would prefer that the video is released to the public. But, I'll take what I can get and if this is the way it's done, then so be it. The alternative is darkness.

What is threatened is the republic about which the Socialists consider theirs. They have nearly got their Socialist dream locked in; but the dampanic, I mean pandemic, waned before the glue finished drying, and now their big reset is starting to fall apart. Bummer, Ken.

True. They are threats to "their" republic. Not ours. Not the Republic that the Founding fathers created, and that Ben Franklin warned us that we could lose.
What are we willing to do to save it. Elections? Right.

This is simply ignorance. DeSantis is not disallowing the teaching of Black history. He is disallowing the usual woke agenda that liberals inject into everything. Someone who does documentaries about history should be appalled by it. I don’t think he is aware of how that unfolded. He needs to educate himself before he speaks about it or just be quiet.
The reaction of liberals to the airing of the Jan 6 video is priceless. Instead of being a threat to our republic it is proof of the lies they told and the narrative they invented. The real threat is to them. They are writhing and it is beautiful.

Morons like Burns and Schumer think that freedom of speech and thought are “threats to democracy.
This logic is stupefying. But they are not fully to blame… it took voters, and customers like PBS, to attach credence to these clowns who would be right at home advising totalitarians.

Burns smug sanctimonious statement offends many Americans. That he believes he possess all wisdom in this matter when it is clear he has zero capacity to challenge his engrained biases is an affront to truth. His assumption that his truth is infallible when presented by a different perspective is condescendingly ignorant. He has his mind set and nothing is going to dissuade him. He is the typical arrogant leftist who summarily dismisses what challenges his beliefs. Doofus.

Ah, Ken. Have greatly enjoyed your documentaries. Don't tell us what you think, I don't care. Are you worried about not getting invited to the 'right' cocktail parties? Do I have to a John Foster Dulles-style 'agonizing reappraisal' of those documentaries?? Don't do this.

I really enjoyed Kenny's Civil War documentary. While he did try to show the South in a better light, I thought it was fair. His politics showed up in the Baseball doc' and much more in the Vietnam doc'. Now it will never be subtle again so he might as well create a doc' on the downfall of America and how it's all because of Republicans.

A Potemkin Village was something the Russians used to advance propoganda: "whose sole purpose is to provide an external façade to a country that is faring poorly, making people believe that the country is faring better." Now, it's a Nazi thing? I'm sure Nazi's had their own too, but I always thought of this as a Russian and then a Soviet thing.
Gee. So Burns is mixing up things historically? That is hysterical!

Ken Burns' Civil War series from three decades ago was history done about as well as it could be done in modern times. That eleven part program is worth watching and rewatching. The remainder of the Burns catalogue has some good moments, but the leftist ideology is starting to dominate after the Civil War series.
The baseball series should have been an all time classic program, but Ken's having Gov. Mario Cuomo making multiple intrusions into the narrative ruined the program for me. What the hell was Ken thinking, stinking up his program with Cuomo Cuomo Cuomo? Goodbye, Ken. You damn leftist Democrat. You're yesterday's news and you have no wisdom. You're a bad American because you identify as a leftist and Democrat first and foremost. We're not having any more of it. Take a hike, son.

Burns must be a pedophile, a Satanist or both. Those are the only type of people who would complain about the truth being told and revealed. Oh, and he doesn't really give a crap about the Republic either. More wordy, words trying to obscure their true agenda.

For seventeen years I taught history at the college level. Even then I knew Ken Burns was a political mouthpiece for the leftist's echo chamber. His facade of being a legitimate historian was always paper thin and now it's even more transparent. His star is sinking pretty low if he's on third-rate CNN. No one would even know about it if other outlets didn't rebroadcast the "interview".

Ken Burns is overrated liberal dweeb. Burns rides on his past work from decades ago like his Civil War epic. As a student and teacher of American history I dismiss much of Burns theater and cleverly done pictures. I quit watching the entire work because of his extreme slavery stance he applied to everything. The war was much more complicated than what Burns portrayed it. His baseball history was weak also he must have a big staff of book collectors and graphic experts working for him he just supplies the dialog.
Ken Burns is a fascist calling other people fascist while condemning whiteness while being white. What a dumb bloke. I dismiss Ken Burns as being just another liberal useful idiot. FKB

Ken Burn's claim to fame was a narrated slide show with an annoying soundtrack that reduced a complex struggle--
generations-long in the making, between industrialists and agriculturalists for dominance. ensnaring
many distinct peoples across many regions, who fought for myriad subjective reasons-- to a way-station along society's journey towards the
realization of Marx's and Engel's utopia.
