Two of the four Americans kidnapped by armed gunmen in a Mexico border city on Friday were found dead and two were found alive, Tamaulipas Gov. Américo Villarreal Anaya said in a phone call with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador that was played at a news conference Tuesday.
The governor said "ambulances and security personnel" were now attending to and giving medical support to the survivors.
The four Americans were located at what appears to be a medical clinic in Matamoros, a US official familiar with the ongoing investigation told CNN. One of the two survivors is severely injured, the official said.

FTA:Latavia "Tay" Washington McGee, 33, drove to Mexico with Shaeed Woodard, Zindell Brown and their friend Eric Williams for the procedure
They were reportedly mistaken for Haitian drug smugglers by the cartel. Makes me wonder if there is more to the story.

This kind of activity is already here in the USA. Just look at the level of violence in our cities.

You would be a fool to visit any Mexican border city. Used to be you had to worry about shakedowns by the local cops, but now, since the Cartels have taken over, it's a much more deadly game.
I'll deal with the higher drug prices (and somewhat guarantees of purity) and having my operations done in the USA for now.

Close the border. Close it both ways in and out until Mexico decides to rid their country of the Cartels that are running it.

Meanwhile, the FBI and Justice Department are still trying to find out which political party the victims belong to before they start any investigation.

Anyone intentionally going into Mexico these days is either extremely stupid, or maybe working on some sort of a drug smuggling deal.

The murdering thugs are the people with whom Biden wants to replace real Americans. I don't care if he has a real legitimate illness, he is criminal scum himself and so are his filthy wife and son. If Donald Trump was in charge of the border, all four of these victims would be alive. You have blood on your filthy hands, Joe. FJB

What I am interested in learning is whether any of the "medical tourists" kidnapped were/are on public assistance in the US and if so, how they could afford $8000 (CASH!) for a "tummy tuck" or whatever elective procedure she was scheduled to have.

I’m guessing they were brainwashed by the BLM movement and thought their Black privilege would protect them. Cartels don’t care and don’t play.

I would no more go into Mexico than North Korea or the dark side of the moon. I had a nephew, an innocent person, found dead in a Tijuana street. To get his body repatriated...bribes, red tape, and then more bribes.

Even back in the 70's, before south padre became "Ft. Liquordale", Texas college students would troop there for spring break...and EVERYONE knew that you did not EVER drive across the border, it's easy to walk across the bridge, shop a bit, maybe hit a strip club(Whorehouse)drink too much, walk or cab ride back, women should NEVER go alone...if you wanted to go further into Mexico you take a bus, not try to drive. We'd cross there to go down the coast to Tuxpan, Tepic, Vera Cruz to surf...in towns along the way you'd see police cars/trucks with lights and stickers on the doors, but still with Texas college stickers in the windows..."Confiscated" from visitors. In one town the police chief had a brand new trans am, t-tops, "Hook'm Horns" stickers, and fraternity stickers, and texas plates still on it.
We would cross at Laredo to go surfing on the west coast of Mexico...when we got to wherever we were going we'd also visit the jail, drop off some supplies to any jailed Americans, maybe give them a bit of cash(you can get ANYTHING in a mexican jail if you have money) and get contact info to inform their parents about where they were.
I used to like to eat the cabrito roasting on a spit in front of many of the shops in the border town...until a guy I met on a drilling rig that grew up outside of Matamoros told me..."That ain't goat dude, that is DOGS...you ever seen a place that dirty with NO stray dogs around?"...next time I was heading down he came with me, we spent the night at his families place, ate REAL cabrito..then spent a week down in Tuxpan on the beach, came back north in time to spend the next week on S. Padre for the spring break..

Nuther thang....If the Cartels know, and are on the lookout for "Haitian Drug gangs" coming from the USA to cut into their business...why are the Haitians allowed to freely travel from/to the US to begin with?

There would be no "cartels" - - if narcotic drugs were legal.
What happened to the violent liquor smuggling gangs - - who thrived during Prohibition? Liquor was legalized - - and the gangs disappeared. When was the last time someone was killed over liquor distribution? Anyone?

The four supposed US Citizens who were said to be mistaken for Haitian drug smugglers by the Mexican cartel paramilitaries, must be four Black folks from North or South Carolina. So you can bet that Biden will swing into action on these murders even though it will be hard for him to interject any White Supremest connected people as the criminal perpetrators involved in this incident. But there will be a lot better chance that Biden will show up at the resulting Black church funerals in the Carolinas than him ever showing up at East Palestine, Ohio.

As someone who HAS had surgery in Mexico, I would not go to anyone right along the border for care. Many folks do go right over the border for medications they need to live but they simply can not afford here in the US thanks to the tyranny of insurance companies. Anything health insurance touches in this country is 3-10 times more than it should be. That said, the border is way too dangerous.
I DID go to Mexico for weight loss surgery 18 years ago. Insurance would not cover it here so I knew I would be cash pay. I did my due diligence. I had three options, Spain, Brazil, or Mexico. I found a wonderful US trained doctor (studied at Baylor) with a sterling associated private hospital and fantastic surgical team. They had lots of US patients, many of whom I spoke to, in a town about 4 hours hours south of Tucson. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The combined English speaking concierge treatment, hospital cleanliness, the ample attentive staffing, and the doctors who even made house calls to my hotel room were better than any care I have received in the US from a hospital and staff. I lost 150 lbs most of which I have kept off all these years. I eliminated from my life many life altering health problems like pre-diabetes, join issues, and secondary infertility. But again, this was NOT in a border town but a few hours into Mexico and we flew in and out. And all of this including the travel costs were a 1/4 of what cash pay in the US would be.

It was reported that the procedure was $3000 cheaper in Mexico. Seems like a lot of that would be eaten up by travel expenses for four people, since they were traveling from South Carolina.
