As spring breakers pack their bikinis and sunglasses to hit the beach in Mexico, the US government is urging citizens to avoid cartel hotspots amid a spike in violence. Four Americans were kidnapped and two butchered Friday in the border town of Matamoros in the latest stark reminder that a bloody drug war rages behind the glamorous façade of the country's sun-drenched resorts. But despite the spiraling cartel violence, travel agents are reporting a post-pandemic boom with bookings trebling on pre-2020 numbers. US citizens headed for Cabo, Cancun and Tulum are warned to exercise 'increased caution' over crime and kidnapping,

Life is all about choices. Choosing to enter Mexico now is an extremely stupid choice, one with a good chance of resulting in your death. Do something safer instead....maybe bungee jumping with a rotten bungee cord.

How and why any American would travel to Mexico these past few years is beyond me. Yeah I get it - wealthy people like Kennedy of Fox Business can travel to Cabo San Lucas and enjoy the sun and margaritas but really? There are very nice and very safe resorts in Florida, etc.

Mexico will always be a failed narco-state. Throughout its history it's been incapable of self-governance and self-control. Mexico's too poor and drug trafficking is the only boot strap they've got to pull themselves out of perpetual misery - and that benefits only a handful of unscrupulous few. I wouldn't risk my life or the lives of my wife and children going down there - and I'm Hispanic

In years past, I’ve gone to Puerto Vallarta, Playa Del Carmen, and Tulum and had a great time - but those days are gone. I wouldn’t go back to Mexico for love or money. The people of Mexico are incapable of governing themselves under the rule of law. It’s a shame, too. It’s a beautiful country, with abundant natural resources and hard-working citizens; they just can’t get it together.

Remember when Chuck Schumer cared about New York? Or at least pretended he did? This was before he became majority leader of the US Senate — a pretty big deal, though of precious little benefit to the folks back home. With New York City staggering under the $5-million-a-day cost of sheltering President Biden’s migrants, it seems Schumer might engage more energetically on border integrity. Not at all. And now Chuck-from-Brooklyn appears to care more about crime in Washington than he does about the mayhem in his hometown.

A top House Republican investigator is demanding that a Treasury Department official appear for a transcribed interview related to the department’s refusal to hand over suspicious activity reports on Hunter Biden. Rep. President Joe Biden condemned House Republicans on Wednesday for allowing Fox News host Tucker Carlson to access and air previously unseen security footage of January 6 that showed police officers appearing to stand by passively as people poured into the U.S. Capitol. The rebuke from the president came in response to an internal memo from U.S. Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger which criticized “Tucker Carlson Tonight” for broadcasting some of the video and commentary he claimed was offensive and misleading. (Video) “More than 140 officers were injured on Jan 6,” Biden said in a tweet. “I’ve said before: How dare anyone diminish or deny

Of course, ABC gave no real attention to the pro-life cause, aside from a single sentence that ended the two-minute-and-46-second segment that summarized a statement from the office of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R).
