James Cameron has made some of the best action movies ever. Terminator, Terminator 2, Aliens. Even True Lies was pretty good. I thought Titanic sucked, and Avatar was a snooze, but Cameron has a few greats to be proud of.
But he isn’t proud of them. In fact, without naming these movies he implies he wished he never made them. They “fetishize” gun violence, and he is done with that. Guns make him sick to his stomach now.
He is so done with gun violence, in fact, that he has made a war movie (Avatar 2 is indeed a kind of war movie, in which the human beings

Italy’s decision to take extra precautions with Chinese travelers paid off on Wednesday as two flights from China landed in Milan and half of the passengers tested positive for Covid-19.
Italy was one of four countries that announced they would impose coronavirus restrictions on Chinese travelers because a massive wave of coronavirus infections is ripping across China, racking up millions of cases in a single day — but the tyrannical Chinese government decided to abandon almost all of its disease control protocols with almost no preparation for the consequences, loosen up travel restrictions, and begin handing out passports just in time for the Lunar New Year holiday.

What is a woman? It would seem a simple thing to define.
According to the Oxford Language Dictionary, a woman is a female adult human being. (Tweet) Yet we’ve seen this movement from the left, a refusal to even define “woman” because somehow having a definition would leave out people who want to believe that they are women when they were born men.
Let’s listen to Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson at her hearing in March. (Tweet/Video) So instead you have a rejection of what a woman is then, that there is no real definition,

President Joe Biden reportedly does not trust the Secret Service to protect him, even though the agency has appeared to slow-walk disclosing documents related to Hunter Biden’s alleged gun violations.
According to Chris Whipple’s new book, “The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden’s White House,” Biden does not trust the Secret Service because some of them allegedly do not support him politically.
“A bigger problem was Biden’s discomfort with his Secret Service detail; some of them were MAGA sympathizers. He didn’t trust them,” Whipple wrote. “The Secret Service is full of white ex-cops from the South who tend to be deeply conservative.”

Migrant surges at the US-Mexico border already appear to be dropping off since the extension of Title 42 on Tuesday, law enforcement officials have said.
Just 24 hours after the Supreme Court’s announcement, several of the large groups which had gathered at the border in El Paso, Texas, had dispersed.
Before and after photographs also show a stark contrast with the chaotic scenes that have played out through December.
The Supreme Court ruled by a 5-4 vote to keep Title 42 in place just hours ahead of its planned end at midnight on Tuesday.

This is one of those stories that you’re certain is from the Babylon Bee, and that is stunning in its implications when it turns out to be the truth. In this case, the truth is that, in accordance with UN and WEF climate recommendations, the city of Oxford (home to the famed university) approved plans mandating that citizens may not drive more than 15 minutes distance from their homes without permission. It’s called the “15 Minute City” and is intended to reduce auto emissions. Mostly, though, it will reduce liberty, which is what climate change madness has always been about.

Our national security is in the best of hands. Not Biden. Maybe whoever in Afghanistan has an eBay account.
German researchers who purchased biometric capture devices on eBay found sensitive US military data stored on their memory cards, The New York Times has reported. That included fingerprints, iris scans, photographs, names and descriptions of the individuals, mostly from Iraq and Afghanistan. Many worked with the US army and could be targeted if the devices fell into the wrong hands, according to the report.
They cost under $200.
Where did it come from before eBay? That’s a good question. And officially there’s no answer. But one seems to have come most recently from Afghanistan.

Aspirational transgenders can get various sordid surgeries to appear more feminine; they can adopt feminine social roles, but they could never really become fully biologically female.
This nags at the LGBTQ+++™ community something fierce, as biological reality always belies the religious conviction that “transgender women are women,” full-stop. They wish they could menstruate because, like transgender Pinocchios, they want desperately to be real girls, despite the deep-seated and dysphoric knowledge that their goal is impossible.
For instance, transgender TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney explains

A New York man filed a class-action lawsuit against Apple on Dec. 24, alleging that the Apple Watch's blood oximeter has a "racial bias" against individuals with darker skin tones.
The Blood Oxygen app is available on Apple Watch Series 6 and newer and can "measure the oxygen level of your blood on-demand directly from your wrist, providing you with insights into your overall wellness," Apple explains.
New York resident Alex Morales alleges that he purchased an Apple Watch between 2020 and 2021, and was aware that the watch "purported to measure blood oxygen levels and he believed it did this without regard to skin tone,"

With the 2024 presidential election less than two years away, conservative groups are building a machine ready to take over and govern on Inauguration Day, 2025.
Taking lessons learned from the “infighting and inaction” in the early days of staffing the Trump administration — a presidency marred by an ingrained administrative state set on thwarting Trump’s policy goals — conservative groups are creating a policy and personnel plan of action in order to “take the reins of government.”

The latest Twitter file drop makes it even more explicit than before: the American government was Twitter’s secret partner. That’s why Joe Biden felt comfortable ordering an ostensibly private corporation to silence critics. Readers of The Conservative Treehouse are surprised because the site predicted this partnership months ago. While his details may be off, his instincts were spot-on.
Before the 10th drop, we learned that the FBI and CIA were constantly demanding information from Twitter and instructing it about which accounts it needed to drop.

Last week I wrote about Teddy Roosevelt and Donald Trump. My comparison wasn’t between the two men as presidents—though they had some similar personality traits—but between how the two men were treated by the Republican Party. The Republican Party of 1912 decided it would be better off renominating William Howard Taft, even though its voters would have preferred another Roosevelt term. The resulting split ushered in Woodrow Wilson and the first academic globalists, whose bright ideas laid the groundwork for a second world war on the eve of the conclusion of the first.

In 2010, Bill Gates famously articulated a four-part equation to reducing the world’s carbon output. Seemingly bizarrely, his first component was reducing the population — through vaccination. “The world today has 6.8 billion people. That’s headed up to about nine billion,” bemoaned Gates in his now infamous TED Talk. “Now, if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by, perhaps, 10% or 15%.” Until recently, I thought this must have been a gaffe. After all, how could vaccines reduce the world’s population? Well, enter the COVID jabs – if you even want to call them vaccines

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley told FOX News on Monday evening that it is a "menacing thing" for the FBI to declare that "combatting disinformation" is one of its top priorities, and explained how Elon Musk revealed potential first amendment violations in the bureau's relationship with social media companies like Twitter. (snip)JONATHAN TURLEY, GWU: What’s interesting is that there is really a loss of space in the last few weeks for many of the censorship apologists that are in Congress and the media. For years, they denied there was any censorship, that there was any shadowbanning, there was any blacklist. All of that was just formally denied. Because of Musk, we now know that all of that were lies. That, in fact, there was an extensive censorship system that was being directed in part by the FBI.

JERUSALEM - Majd Ramlawi was serving coffee in Jerusalem’s Old City when a chilling text message appeared on his phone. "You have been spotted as having participated in acts of violence in the Al-Aqsa Mosque," it read in Arabic. "We will hold you accountable."Ramlawi, then 19, was among hundreds of people who civil rights attorneys estimate got the text last year, at the height of one of the most turbulent recent periods in the Holy Land. Many, including Ramlawi, say they only lived or worked in the neighborhood, and had nothing to do with the unrest. What he didn’t know was that the feared internal security agency,

Two hundred and thirty-one years ago this month, America's founders enshrined free speech as the first protection in the ratified Bill of Rights with a declaration that the government could not infringe expression. A series of blockbuster revelations at the end of 2022 show just how imperiled those protections have become in the era of Big Tech.
From Elon Musk’s "Twitter files" to an FBI agent's candid testimony, Americans have gotten a glimpse into a once-hidden enterprise where federal agencies pressured social media platforms – directly and through proxies – to censor content under their terms of service. The goal, it appears, was to preserve the ruling elite's favored narratives
