Oxford residents will soon be prisoners

This is one of those stories that you’re certain is from the Babylon Bee, and that is stunning in its implications when it turns out to be the truth. In this case, the truth is that, in accordance with UN and WEF climate recommendations, the city of Oxford (home to the famed university) approved plans mandating that citizens may not drive more than 15 minutes distance from their homes without permission. It’s called the “15 Minute City” and is intended to reduce auto emissions. Mostly, though, it will reduce liberty, which is what climate change madness has always been about.

Comments:

If you CHOOSE to only travel no more than 15 minutes from your home, OK, fine. But this will be mandated by Big Brother.
So glad we tossed the damned Redcoats out a couple of hundred years ago. UK is becoming a completely totalitarian state, worse than the USSR ever was.

Control your food, energy, movement. They are tightening the noose around your neck. They are coming for your ability to control your own money, future, health. Yes, they really do want you living in a cold, dark hell hole eating maggots. Only a matter of time before they say no private transportation. This is the ultimate house arrest. Next will come shock collars. Get anywhere near your "neighborhood gate/fence" and they will make you sorry. All the essentials THEY want you to have, what THEY think you need will be provided. You will have no choices. This is f - ing insane and exactly what they have been aiming for. Lock and load America.

This is crazy, permission to drive anywhere is rediculous. This country is no longer land of the free, it is the land of the government forceing itself on every aspect of our lives, we don't have to worry about China and Russia, we better start worrying about our own government and those who want to control every breath we take. The tryranical Biden administration was just the start, and the farcical J 6 crap and and still persecuting Trump. There needs to be a revolution, the people of this country against our own government. FJB F the Dem party.

I'm convinced it's what's ultimately behind the big push for self-driving cars. The government will be able to severely limit where a vehicle is allowed to go, your car literally won't drive into certain areas. The elite, of course, will have all-region access; the rest of us will have access only to certain zones, based on "social credit" scores, and our vehicles will only take us to those areas. The good little party members and wokesters who do exactly what they are told may even be allowed to drive to a beach once a year on an assigned day, while WEF approved elite will frolic in the nearly deserted Caribbean and ski the Swiss Alps without having to see a single peasant.

The overall plan is to keep citizens corralled in population centers, they are muck easier to control that way. Look at NYC for example. Petty politicians and bureaucrats can enact any restrictive laws they desire, and it takes years to untangle the webs they weave.

Their ultimate goal is that those peasants allowed to survive will have sleeping pods within walking distance of their assigned work area, and stop off at the corporate or government cafeteria on your way to and from work, for your meals (primarily of bugs and GMO veggies, with an occasional bit of lab grown 'meat' for an occasional treat.).

Before criticizing the Brits, look to our own nonsensical policy makers who are summoning millions of foreigners into our country, free to go wherever they wish, while at the same time, installing climate (people control) policies intended to restrict the movement of people and commerce, using the coercive power of centralized government. Our citizens have the ability to put such asinine policy makers to the sword, but they don't. It appears that by the time the citizenry realizes its do or die time, such citizens will no longer have the means to rebel and re-install the sanity of our once model government, one that works for a free people. Having the means and having the will to use such means are so totally different, that references to the number of firearms possessed by a people who are less free by half since the year of their birth is not only meaningless but counterproductive.

But they, along with all our institutions, have lied so often and so egregiously that 72% of the public doesn’t believe them. If nothing else, that is a very positive sign. The evidence for the lab leak is as overwhelming as the evidence for a zoonotic origin is non-existent. In mid-December, Dr. John Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) and a world-recognized expert on guns and crime, testified before a Congressional subcommittee on violence and made some startling revelations. Perhaps one of the most important was that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) covered up the fact that armed citizens use their guns quite frequently to stop active shooter attacks. According to Lott’s testimony before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security, the FBI grossly underreported the number of times armed citizens had stopped active shooters.

There is a strange but all too widespread coalition of left-wing anti-war activists and alleged “right-wing” isolationists trying desperately to dimmish any perception that Russia and China are working together against American security. A focus has been the Ukraine invasion, the larger consequences of which they dismiss except to fear that it might lead to regime change in Moscow rather than Kyiv. The most ugly and ridiculous manifestation of this was Tucker Carlson’s disgraceful rant against President Volodymyr Zelensky’s speech to Congress. We are all Americans.  That said, there have been efforts for years to divide us for perceived political reasons.  Those who live in the bigger cities often tend to look down their noses to those who don't.  We have become a Blue America and a Red America.  I personally believe that the colors are reversed, but maybe that's just me.  A good representation of red vs. blue can be seen on the 2020 election map by counties. It has gotten so bad that there are discussions of secession and even civil war, God forbid.  It would be difficult to have states against states.  The real conflict appears to be larger cities versus the rest of America.

The Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance (TCMA) is targeting Franklin’s 1968 hit “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” which they say “perpetuates multiple harmful anti-trans stereotypes.” The group claims, “There is no such thing as a ‘natural’ woman” and is calling on the streaming platforms to cancel the song.
