Woke and broke U.S. Army now accepting

Being all uber-woke you can be has just about brought the Army to its knees. In this day and age, they’ve fallen so far down the rabbit hole anymore that they can’t get anyone who’s their normal target recruit to sign up to save their lives. Or anyone else’s, for that matter. Their recruiting numbers are dismal. …The service fell 15,000 recruits short of its fiscal 2022 goal and it cut its goal for total number of soldiers in fiscal year 2023 by an additional 15,000, suggesting that it sees a longer-term problem. Only 23% of young Americans meet the fitness, health and other standards required to join the military,

Who wants to join an outfit under Commander in Chief Joey? I'm a veteran, but I wouldn't join the service now, where they want to indoctrinate me into white guilt and the 1619 project, and I get in trouble if I address some odd person by something other than their preferred pronoun.

"Hoist with his own petard" - The U.S. Army is another institution that is "blowing itself up" because of its progressive/woke mentality. (I looked up the definition of petard yesterday because recently I've been reading about so many institutions with similar outcomes from the same mentality.) So far, my short list includes: universities, hospitals, Hollywood, old legacy media, churches, and now the armed services.

This is ridiculous. A guy my daughter dated in the 90's was 5 pounds overweight and his acceptance in the Navy was in doubt. He was literally sweating bullets but managed to make the weight with a few pounds to spare. I was relieved too because the teen marriage plans eventually fell apart. I can't believe how the Navy changed him for the better. He is still serving today.

Has anyone looked around the last few decades while American moms raised their exceptional special needs sons, using psychotropic drugs to chemically emasculate them? Now they can’t form relationships with the opposite sex and look to dress in women’s clothing. You’d better watch out for the new US male, my friends.

The big danger is with little or no real warriors joining the Army, is that if the balloon goes up, that Biden and his motley crew will start striking up merry tunes as they start a draft, that will for the most part, unless the USA is being invaded by a foreign armed force, will result in hearty laughs from the small percentage of American men who could under other circumstances make up a major portion of the warrior class in the Army.

My grandson enlisted for the Coast Guard 10 years ago and was accepted. They were only looking at candidates with the equivalent of a 100 IQ. We spoke the other day and he said the IQ level has dropped to 80 which is way below normal. That is scary because their standards in the Cg are higher than the US Army. God help us if we have to go to war.

Oh, come on. Does this writer really believe that during the days of the draft, people with ADHD weren't inducted into the military? You didn't get into the military if your IQ was too low, or if you had a physical disability or a prison record. Other than that, you're in. The real impediment to people enlisting in the military, is the idiot in the White House, and the boat load of idiots running the military at the Pentagon. Plus, the whole Capitol full of idiots who can't seem to stay out of every conflict on the planet with no real will to actually win anything. Add in the just up and leaving Afghanistan and leaving 85 billion dollars' worth of equipment behind, and the term incompetence is completely justified.

Go Woke Go Broke applies to the military. When you have civilians with titles like equity monitor you can bet they will dream up equity problems them and only they can fix them. Unit cohesion is the backbone of the military and when you throw in disruptive elements like equity and inclusion where not needed or wanted you have torn the fabric of military readiness.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors could soon repeal all or parts of a law that prohibited city-funded travel and contracting with 30 conservative states that passed laws to restrict LGBTQ rights, abortion access and voting rights. The 2016 ordinance, Chapter 12X, was initially passed in the wake of the Obergefell v. Hodges decision to include states that passed anti-LGBTQ legislation, but was amended twice in 2019 and 2021 to add additional states who passed restrictive abortion and voting rights legislation. The move was largely seen as a boycott to pressure other states and prevent the city from engaging in business with those whose values

There are now new reports of a large white balloon spotted about 594 miles northeast of Honolulu, Hawaii. The Oakland Oceanic Air Traffic Control was reporting sightings of the balloon, with multiple commercial pilots saying they’d seen it. Reports were that it was flying at an altitude of 40,000 to 50,000 feet. Pilots were advised to report if they saw the object. It’s not clear whether it already breached American airspace. There are all kinds of military installations in Hawaii, so obviously that would be a big target for spying by China if that is what is going on here. This would be spitting in the eye of Joe Biden

Austin police are investigating what they called “street racing incidents.” The incidents involved crowds taking over major intersections as drivers participated in “drifting” demonstrations. When police arrived, the crowd attacked the vehicles with fireworks, rocks, and other objects. Multiple videos show the chaos that erupted in a major intersection in downtown Austin on Saturday night. Some of the videos show the crowds turning on police as they arrived to clear the streets. Police say people in the crowd threw rocks and fireworks at patrol vehicles damaging at least two. In one video, fireworks appear to be fired at one of the police cars.

Kathy Hochul’s dangerous and Orwellian “Hateful Conduct Law” suffered a major defeat, being struck down in the Southern District of New York by Judge Andrew L. Carter. That came after Rumble and a blogger teamed up to challenge the law in court. The law, which Hochul originally signed in the summer of 2022, would have forced social media companies to “report” hateful conduct to the state (in this case, New York) and also have policies in place to censor such speech. According to Judge Carter (Breitbart), that was a no-go given the protections afforded by the First Amendment. “The Hateful Conduct Law both compels social media networks to speak about the contours

As far as cushy political appointments go, it’s on the thankless end of the spectrum. At least that was the case before Pete Buttigieg ascended to the role in 2021. Now the secretary of transportation is both a political celebrity and someone immune to meaningful criticism over our country’s transportation failures — and there have been many.Though the left rarely misses an opportunity to announce that “the adults are back in charge,” Buttigieg’s failures suggest otherwise.
