PHILADELPHIA—Right-hander Cristian Javier and three Houston Astros relievers on Wednesday night combined to throw the second no-hitter in World Series history, 66 years after Don Larsen’s perfect game for the New York Yankees.
In Game 4 against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park, Javier, a 25-year-old native of the Dominican Republic making his first World Series start, allowed two baserunners across six innings, both on walks. At 97 pitches and with still three innings to navigate, Javier gave way to the Astros’ bullpen, a decision made by Astros manager Dusty Baker.
In his perfect game against the Brooklyn Dodgers, Larsen also threw 97 pitches—in nine innings.
Republican Gen. Don Bolduc was physically attacked by an unknown individual before the Wednesday debate with Democrat Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH), Bolduc’s campaign told Breitbart News.
Kate Constantini, Bolduc for Senate spokeswoman, told Breitbart News that before the General went on the debate stage, he was physically attacked outside the building by an individual in the crowd.
It is not known if the individual is a Hassan supporter.
Law enforcement was quickly on the scene and apprehended the individual.
“Prior to the debate, an individual in the crowd gathered outside attempted to punch the General and was quickly apprehended and arrested,” Constantini explained.

On Wednesday, the White House was humiliated once again when it was forced to delete a tweet that had credited “President Biden’s leadership” for the bump in Social Security payments after being flagged by Twitter as being inaccurate.
The increase in Social Security checks is actually due to a 40-year high in inflation, which ironically, Biden is responsible for.
“Seniors are getting the biggest increase in their Social Security checks in 10 years through President Biden’s leadership,” the White House fibbed on Twitter Tuesday.
The original tweet was flagged on Twitter noting that many readers were adding “context” to it. The White House did not say why the tweet was deleted

The Federal Reserve hiked interest rates dramatically again on Wednesday in an effort to combat the persistent inflation burdening the American economy. The Capitol Police has live cameras outside Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s home — but officers were reportedly not watching the feeds when her husband was brutally assaulted. The agency monitors 1,800 cameras at the Capitol and away from its jurisdiction, including at the Pelosi residence in San Francisco, the Washington Post reported. An officer who was cycling through the many live feeds Friday at one point noticed police lights flashing outside the home and rewound the video, according to the paper.

The results of the FOX31 / Channel 2 / Emerson College Polling / The Hill poll conducted Oct. 26-29, show a marked uptick in approval for the upcoming election’s Proposition 122. The ballot initiative would decriminalize psychedelic plants and fungi, including DMT and psilocybin mushrooms, also known as “magic mushrooms.” Among voters of all political affiliations, 43% said they would support the measure, while 44.2% said they would oppose it. Another 12.8% said they are still unsure.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who lost her primary for reelection this year, has endorsed Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) against Republican J.D. Vance in Ohio’s United States Senate race.
During a panel discussion with PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff, Cheney was asked if she would support Vance against Ryan in the Ohio Senate race, to which she responded, “I would not vote for J.D. Vance.”
“So if you were a Buckeye State voter, you’d be voting for Tim Ryan?” Woodruff asked. Cheney responded, saying “I would.”
Cheney also called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) a “tremendous leader” and “a leader of historic consequence.”

An antisemitism watchdog is slamming Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., for showing her "true colors" in calling out the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), a lobbying group that promotes the U.S.-Israel alliance, for actively opposing a democratic socialist candidate in Pennsylvania.
According to a new Federal Election Commission filing, AIPAC's United Democracy Project super PAC on Saturday spent $78,683 on direct mail opposing Democratic House candidate Summer Lee, an AOC-endorsed progressive who is running against Republican Mike Doyle in Pennsylvania's 12th Congressional District, which is currently held by a retiring Democrat also named Mike Doyle.
The recent exchange between Chuck Todd, presenter on NBC’s Meet the Press, and Chris Sununu, Governor of New Hampshire, was illuminating for a number of reasons. Chuck Todd has not been this upset since Texas Gov. Republican Herschel Walker has a one-point edge over incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) in the battleground race for the U.S. Senate in Georgia, according to a poll published Monday.
The poll, conducted by the University of Georgia and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Georgia’s largest newspaper, found Walker at 46 percent, Warnock at 45 percent, and libertarian candidate Chase Oliver at five percent.
