The Sunshine State is preparing for a different sort of blue wave.
Continuing years of scorching population growth, Florida is bracing for a fresh batch of disgruntled citizens fed up with spiraling crime and high taxes to move in from Democratic strongholds. (Snip) Another participant, an Upper East Side parent of two, said the city is becoming “unlivable” for families — and that Hochul’s election set off frenzied searches on property website Zillow among her circle of friends.
“The crime, the mandates, the general insanity,” she said. “I think people are just looking at their lives and thinking there has to be a better place to raise their children.”

Sam Bankman-Fried, the CEO of crypto exchange FTX considered the Democrats’ "newest megadonor" ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, reportedly saw around $6 billion of withdrawals within 72 hours before Tuesday morning, forcing him to sell the company to its biggest rival on Election Day. Reuters reported that Changpeng Zhao, the leader of competitor Binance, said the company signed a nonbinding agreement on Tuesday to buy FTX's non-U.S. unit to help cover a "liquidity crunch" at the rival exchange. (Snip) According to the Washington, D.C.-based non-profit Open Secrets, Bankman-Fried’s total contributions this cycle amounted to $39,826,856. That included a whopping $36,793,956 given to Democratic candidates, with just $235,200 to Republicans.

She adds, “I have concerns that [Wade] may be pressuring our child to move forward with the name and gender change in order to capitalize on the financial opportunities that he has received from companies.”

During the latest episode of ABC’s "The View," celebrity guest Anne Hathaway claimed that "abortion can be another word for mercy."
"My own personal experience with abortion and I don’t think we talk about this enough, abortion can be another word for mercy," she said.
Elaborating she said, "We don’t know. We don’t know." Hathaway added, "We know that no two pregnancies are alike, and it follows that no two lives are alike, it follows that no two conceptions are alike. So how can we have a law, how can we have a point of view on this that says we must treat everything the same?"

Chicago - Chicago has welcomed thousands of migrants in recent months, bused in from Texas.
CBS 2 has learned there's a plan in the works to house hundreds at an old school in the Woodlawn neighborhood and it's a decision many residents, and the alderwoman said, blindsided them. (Snip) "We have no idea what the background of the people are that they're talking about bringing here," said Woodlawn resident Tracey Thompson. "We as taxpayers, we deserve a lot more transparency and forthrightness."

More than 233,000 Cook County residents applied to be part of the nation’s largest test of whether a universal basic income will reduce poverty, Cook County Board of Commissioners President Toni Preckwinkle said Monday.
The 3,250 people who win the lottery to participate in the two-year program could get the first of 24 $500 monthly payments by the end of December, officials said.
“The overwhelming response from our residents speaks to the need being felt in all our communities at this unique time in history,” Preckwinkle said. “Cook County is proud to be leading in the American guaranteed income movement and

“The ultrasound just made it feel a lot more real,” Sarah* recalled. “When I first heard my son’s heartbeat, there was an immediate attachment to the idea of him.” (Snip) “The focus groups kept bringing up ultrasounds — and the refinement of ultrasounds and 3D ultrasounds—and they just said, ‘Well, that’s a baby,’” Anderson explained. “The science of imaging has moved to a point where your average voter now says, ‘I’m not going to argue over whether that’s a baby. I know it’s a baby. Now, let’s talk about how we balance all this out, and balance that with the rights of the mother.’”

The marble monuments of the nation’s capital have become neighbors to abject squalor — ever-expanding tent cities that are the most disgraceful examples of a trend bedeviling Democrat-led cities around the US.
In the past two years, homeless encampments have exploded in Washington D.C., as both the city and federal governments lifted enforcement measures (Snip) Moti, 48, a vacationer from Israel, said, “We didn’t expect to see the homeless here near the White House.” “I thought it was a rich city,” added his wife Orli, 54. “It’s a Democrat here in the White House, and the Democrats are more socialist, right?”

Brett Favre is one of the media’s favorite punching bags at the moment. Sports commentators and journalists say the retired quarterback is a very bad person because of allegations he participated in the misuse of state welfare funds. (Snip) Favre trusted state officials for their opinion on Nancy New. His primary goal was to help out his alma mater. As soon as he found out he received welfare funds meant for the needy, he returned them.
But there is no way for Trump supporters to acquit themselves in the eyes of the liberal press. Brett Favre stands guilty just because of who he is.
