Gov. Brian Kemp has substantially widened his lead over Stacey Abrams in the Georgia governor’s race, managing to hold a double-digit advantage over his Democratic challenger with less than one week to Election Day, according to recent polling. In a rematch of their 2018 faceoff for the governor’s mansion, when Kemp narrowly defeated Abrams 50.2% to 48.8%, the Republican incumbent is faring much better than he did four years ago. About 55% of voters say they plan to back Kemp for a second term compared to just 44% who said they’ll vote for Abrams, according to a recent Monmouth University

"I wuz robbed" isn't the greatest campaign slogan in the book. I'm not sure even Donald Trump could pull that one off, but so far, he's trying. I think "anchor" would be a good nickname for Stacey. And heck, after she's been President of the World (Star Trek), why would she want to be Governor of a stinkin' state like Georgia?

She ran her mouth about the police again, and that's a loser proposition. Who do people need more? A big fat ignorant dishonest loudmouth or the police? No surprise Kemp is up by double digits. If Abrams win, she will turn Georgia into New York, and Atlanta into New York City. Watch working Georgians and Georgia businesses make the short trip to Florida. Watch Abrams claim the election was racist and stolen when she loses. GTH.

Let's see. 50% say they will NEVER vote for Abrams. 35% say they will NEVER vote for Kemp. That leaves 15% that are more "flexible" and Abrams needs EVERY ONE of them just to draw even with Kemp. That's not an "uphill climb", that's climbing Mount Everest, and I strongly doubt Stacey is any kind of a mountaineer.

Even at only 44% there is still way too much stupid in that poll. Of course, smart people never respond to a poll. Why do you want to give some idiot politician a clue to what the right answer is? If he doesn't already believe what is important to you then he will just lie to get your vote. Maybe many of that 44% have just decided to reciprocate and just tell the pollster what they know he wants to hear.

Despite the human tragedy that doctors and nurses witness on a daily basis in the emergency room, there’s often a reluctance to ever show any emotion. Ballots returned by Monday showed that roughly 75,000 fewer Coloradans have cast their votes a week ahead of the Nov. 8 election than at this time in 2018. Unaffiliated voters, who make up the majority of Colorado’s voting base with Democrats coming in second and Republicans in third, have cast the greatest number of early ballots.
