The Cart Before the Horse

America has always been a nation of practical people; we know what we want and from the beginning we’ve used common sense and knowledge of history, both biblical and secular, to figure out how to get it. We knew from the get go that freedom was the ticket, that government was the enemy, that God was the foundation on which this nation must be built. A large portion of our citizenry, unfortunately, has forgotten these things, and the latest generations never learned them in the first place.

The author makes one key mistake which makes it harder for him to communicate his point: electricity IS a form of energy, while coal, natural gas, and oil are NOT forms of energy. However, energy is transient, any energy which you have right now must be used to do work, if it is not, it will be wasted. So, what is needed are ways to generate energy as, and where, needed. The best way to do that is to store that energy in some manner. Energy can be stored as electricity in batteries, as gravity in heavy objects at great heights, as heat in oil, natural gas, and coal. In fact, coal, natural gas, and oil store more energy per pound of material than any other method of storing energy currently known to man.

If Christian belief is prerequisite, there will be much disappointment across the land. Can we stop with the discounting of other faiths in our political views? Goodness, decency and respect are not qualities monopolized by Christians. If you're a Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, or even a non-believer, why should you join this club when you vote?

In her recent article in The Atlantic, a Brown University professor, Emily Oster, is calling for "pandemic amnesty." She is telling me to "forgive and forget" everyone who was yelling obscenities at me for not wearing a mask in a public park or calling me a mass murderer for posting a picture with a friend visiting. I must forget all this, the author insists, because all those people had nothing but my well-being in mind! The author admits that many (if not most!) measures imposed on us by "the experts" were harmful and destructive.

The recent exchange between Chuck Todd, presenter on NBC’s Meet the Press, and Chris Sununu, Governor of New Hampshire, was illuminating for a number of reasons. Chuck Todd has not been this upset since Texas Gov. Abbott sent 50 poor Venezuelans to Martha’s Vineyard, the Democrats’ safe, quaint, quiet, mostly white elitist paradise that “liberals” desperately want to keep rigorously illegal-alien-free. Sununu’s sin is that he supports his state’s Republican candidate for the Senate, Don Bolduc, and this, Todd informs him, is not acceptable to the left that now believes it has the right to decide whom Republicans are permitted to support for higher office.

When a story comes out about a Pelosi getting hammered, a normal person assumes the news has something to do with a drunk speaker of the House named Nancy slurring through a staged press conference with her Pravda media friends. United States Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) hit the airwaves to connect the recent assault on Paul Pelosi with “fascism” and “white nationalism.” She insists that both are now ubiquitous. And both prompt increasing politically motivated violence. (Ocasio-Cortez remains oblivious to the greatest sustained political violence in our recent history; the 120 days of Black Lives Matter and Antifa-fueled rioting, arson, looting, and mayhem of summer and fall 2020—often cheered on or defended by public officials and social media.) The deplorable violent attack on Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.),

It’s straight out of Animal Farm, Orwell’s famous allegory about communism. Democrats, aka the American neo-communists, are working overtime to transform our kids into Orwell’s dogs. Briefly, in Animal Farm, Napoleon was the farm animals’ leader. (He represents Stalin.) Early in the story, a dog gave birth to nine puppies. Napoleon took the puppies from their mother to raise them himself. (He probably promised “free early childcare!”) Napoleon’s main rival was another pig named Snowball.

Disturbing new details emerge on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi’s attacker. Oxane Taub, David DePape’s reported life partner, was allegedly “mentally ill.” Taub, who is now in jail, was once a nudist activist in California who goes by the name of Gypsy. According to ABC7, Taub was arrested in 2021 on abduction charges and is currently being held in the Californian Institution for Women. “Hello this is Gypsy Taub. I am the ex-life partner of David DePape and the mother of his children… he is mentally ill. He has been mentally ill for a long time," Taub said.

Chris Wallace left Fox News in a huff and signed a contract with CNN to be the point man on the cable network’s streaming service, CNN+. That venture lasted only days before the new owners pulled the plug, leaving the network stuck with finding some use for its expensive (“more than $6 million a year”) new employee. They came up with a Sunday evening interview program, titled Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace.” As Radar Online reports, the results are dismal: …stats revealed that his show has…driven down the time slot for CNN over 20 percent in comparison to how Sunday nights were ranking before his start.

The Epoch Times reports on the continuing efforts by the FBI to hide the contents of Seth Rich’s computer, and while I am not sure why, the reasonable assumption is that to disclose this material would, as a number of experts have long contended, prove that Mueller’s claim that the DNC computer was hacked by Russians was of a piece with the entire nonsensical and disproven claims that Russia conspired to defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016. Since it has been several years since focus was on the murder of Seth Rich and the publication by Julian Assange

A common charge in western republics has been the claim that conservatives insist on thinking rationally and have no compassion, while liberals make all their decisions on feelings, and refuse to use their heads. In the oft-misattributed aphorism, Winston Churchill first summed up this difference as: “If you’re not a liberal at 20, you have no heart; if you’re not a conservative by 40, you have no brain.” Throughout the centuries-long struggle between constitutionally-limited government and a Marxist welfare state, this tug-of-war between heart and head

Hayes played clips from the speech, including the president saying that electing certain Republicans is a “path to chaos” —

Biden, who moved into a 10,000-square-foot former DuPont family mansion in 1974 — one year after joining the Senate — told the tale during a New Mexico event focused on his plans to forgive up to $20,000 in student debt per borrower. The president said that his late son Beau “ended up with [student] debt because I had the dubious distinction of being listed as the poorest man in Congress.”

Conservatives ridiculed President Joe Biden’s "despicable" Wednesday speech in which he warned midterm voters of the threats to democracy ahead of election day. During his last address before the balance of power would be decided in Washington D.C., Biden pleaded with Americans to vote against Republicans, accusing them of being election deniers and MAGA extremists who have encouraged political violence, promoted former President Donald Trump’s "Big Lie" about the 2020 election and engaged in voter intimidation. Rather than focusing the on main issues voters are most concerned about, namely, rampant inflation and other economic woes, Biden’s speech pointed the finger at his political opponents.
