Yes, it's petty to refuse this kind of request. However, being from the Philly area, Philly sport teams are like family to the fans, and you don't mess with family. Loyalties to the teams run REAL deep especially when it comes to the Eagles. You just don't wear an opposing team jersey or anything like that to an Eagles game in Philly unless your goal is to go in without any clothes or end up in the hospital. Phillies fans at the BANK are a bit more tolerant and understanding. I grew up with every Philly sport team losing all the time except the Flyers. It's ingrained in me to just expect the worst and be surprised if teams play better. It's why I don't watch any Philly sport team play on TV. Ever. I don't need the aggravation.

So they are choosing to lose money over a stupid game?!?!?!? Mental illness is apparently a serious problem for Angelo's Pizza. We are not talking politicians who have the power to make life and death decisions -- I understand why sometimes businesses boycott them. We are talking about grown men who play a kid's game for lots of money. Any of the Astros could be traded to the Phillies next season, or vice versa. All professional athletes are mercenaries these days who play for the highest bidder. There isn't a player on the Phillies that wouldn't take a trade to the Dodgers or Yankees next season for a few million more dollars. So for this business to show that kind of loyalty to a team where the players certainly don't have that sort of loyalty is just crazy!!!

I remember as a child my mother would tell me, “You are the company you keep,” stressing the importance of associating with people who are on par with your values. For nearly a decade, I associated with the Democratic Party because I felt its values aligned with mine. On Sunday, for the first time in my life, I voted Republican and did it without hesitation.
