Gavin Newsom’s laughable gripe about
conservative media bias

Original Article

You have to admire the chutzpah of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who ludicrously claimed last weekend that Democrats were at a disadvantage because conservative media controls the story. Really! “These guys are ruthless on the other side. Ruthless on the other side,” Newsom said. “That prime-time lineup by Fox, they are ruthless. They dominate the most important thing in American politics today, and that’s the narrative. Facts become secondary to narrative. They dominate with illusion. We are getting crushed.” It’s the ultimate in projection. On story after story, the media follow Democratic talking points to the letter.

Newsom is a person to be ignored. He is irrelevant to the rest of the world and only important to the West coast.

If you are getting crushed moron, it is because the right still tells more of the truth than your side does. I don't think Newsom should be ignored. Past actions of the last few months, like Newsom taking that ''tour'' of the WH while Biden was out of the country tells me he is being seriously considered for something big. Biden is demented, but Newsom is a true believer.

This is classic Joe Biden. Joe Biden destroys everything he touches. Just like Barack Obama famously said, “Never underestimate Joe’s ability to f*ck things up.” In January, Biden took credit when the stock market rallied.“It has hit record after record after record on my watch, while making things more equitable for working class people,” Biden said in January. Joe Biden also took a swipe at Trump. “The stock market -— the last guy’s measure of everything, is about 20% higher than it was when my predecessor was there,” Biden said.

A drug that's contributed to the deaths of tens-of-thousands of Americans last year has been found hidden in Skittles and Nerds packaging and could be peddled to young children via social media. During the period of May 23 to Sept 8 this year, 10.2 million fentanyl pills and about 980 pounds of fentanyl powder were seized by the the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as part of the One Pill Can Kill initiative. Of the 390 cases investigated during this period, 51 cases have been linked to overdose poisonings and 35 cases link directly to one or both of the primary Mexican cartels responsible for the majority of fentanyl

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre indicated Tuesday that the White House would offer political asylum to men fleeing Russia following President Vladimir Putin's military mobilization. Her comments come after some European nations have indicated a willingness to take on Russians have flooded airports and border crossings after Putin said he would mobilize 300,000 reservists as his country faces battlefield losses to U.S.-backed Ukrainian forces. But she did not mention a specific program tailored for Russians, whose homeland faces an array of U.S. and western sanctions imposed in response to Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine in February.

Mariel Hemingway, 60, said her grandfather was passionate about his homes and the community around them. On Tuesday, as Key West battened down the hatches - schools and offices were closed, flights canceled and residents warned of a storm surge up to three feet above normal high tides - the actress said she feared for the 180-year-old property, which was home to Hemingway from 1931 to 1939.

As many as 22 lawmakers have called upon Attorney General Merrick Garland to provide an explanation as to why the FBI allegedly sent 25-30 fully-armed agents to arrest Catholic pro-life activist Mark Houck as his “screaming” children watched in horror. Released Tuesday, the open letter spearheaded by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) said that the FBI should have an “extraordinary reason” for arresting Houck the way they allegedly did. The letter said: There is much to learn about the extent of the FBI’s operations in this case, apparently since state-level charges were apparently dismissed by local authorities in Philadelphia. Surely, the FBI must have an extraordinary reason

This past Friday, Kevin McCarthy and other GOP U.S. House leaders unveiled the long-awaited “Republican Commitment to America.” It didn’t disappoint. The plan was fittingly announced in Washington, Pennsylvania, not Washington, D.C. It addresses the mounting concerns of America’s hard-pressed majority: the working- and middle-classes. That’s most of us -- whatever race, color, or creed. We’re daily struggling under the spreading policy and governance failures of our shady, witless president, Joe Biden, and congressional Democrats. Let’s not leave out Joe’s handlers and department and agency chiefs for ample rations of blame. The Commitment was modeled after Newt Gingrich’s uber-successful 1994 “Contract with America.”

California finds itself on edge more than ever with a lingering fear: the threat of rolling blackouts for years to come. Despite new power plants, building huge battery storage systems and restarting some shuttered fossil fuel generators over the past couple of years, California relies heavily on energy from other states — the cavalry rushing over a distant hill. Sometimes the support does not show up when expected or at all. That was the case this month, when millions of residents got cellphone alerts urging them to cut their energy use as the state teetered close to blackouts in blazing heat.
