President Joe Biden used a Rose Garden speech on touting his work reducing healthcare costs to launch a political attack on Republicans, accusing them of plotting the abolition of Social Security if they take back Congress.
The warning is designed to win over older voters, a key demographic in November's midterm elections.
Yet he ended his political attack with an appeal for Americans to come together, forget the partisan wrangling and cooperate on bringing down costs for families.
Biden held the event to advertise that Americans will pay less next year on monthly premiums for Medicare 's Part B plan,

I thought it was the Republicans that use “scare tactics” on voters. Turns out, the Dems were engaging in projection

Didn’t Biden just accuse Governor DeSantis of using illegal aliens as political pawns? Biden will probably say he alone helped Tampa and Ft Myers because Gov DeSantis wouldn’t coordinate with him on Hurricane recovery efforts. Buck wheat is probably drafting up that script of lies right now. DeSantis should say he has coordinated directly with FEMA because Biden failed to act.

When that little boy makes statements as totally wrong and stupid as these; it just verifies the depth of stupidity this country has reached that that there are "81 million" dumb ships who could have "voted" for it.

I am so dam* sick of Biden and the dems using fear as a weapon to keep them in power. They will say and do anything, and scaring seniors, some of whom will believe this crap, is more than shameful, it is immoral and criminal. Some older folks still have faith in these people, and their fear of losing the only income they have to live on is real to them, they don't realized they are being used by an a**hole who could really care less about the detrimental effect this has on them. I tell you who should be afraid and it is that creatin in the whitehouse, because his own party doesn't even want him, and the rest of us for sure want him gone asap.FJB

Claiming that the wimpy Republicans are going to destroy Social Security and Medicaid is a well worn fraudulent political tactic that the Democrats allege during the run up to every election. But after those elections even when the Republicans control the Congress they never destroy Social Security and/or Medicaid the Democrat keep shoveling out that bul crap to their low information supporters

It is the Millennials that should be worried that Social Security won't be there for them in 2065, of course neither will the USA if the Democrats have their way.

Rather then cut ss the demonrats already demonstrated their final solution to remove seniors from ss by placing covid infected seniors into nursing homes, pushing the jab on them, pushing remdesivir and ventilators, and banning hcq and ivermectin early covid treatments.

While Mitch "MultiUseless" McConnell ponders whether to assign parking spaces near the building at designated hours. Heck, a committee recommendation is in order. Let's have lunch.

When libs and Dems have no argument, they drag out that tired old chestnut that Republicans want to abolish Social Security. It's a cheap attempt to frighten SS recipients.

Same old tactics. I have an idea that would help people on SS. How about getting rid of that tax on 85% of it that Democrats voted for back in the 90’s? Hmmmm??

Biden-created inflation is currently the biggest thing destroying the value of our Social Security checks. But the scary thing is that Democrats always accuse Republicans of doing whatever they themselves are getting ready to do. Next up, the Marxists will say SS is a white supremacist construct, and try to abolish the racist payments to white seniors (like me). Give the payments to black welfare recipients, instead.

Americans are going to see a 30% decline in their standards of living. It can be a check 30% smaller, or a check that purchases 30% less. We have had 60 years of awful decision making in the U.S. Now we will have 60 years to pay for it.

In the meantime, Joe's giving everyone a raise and lowering Medicare premiums, ensuring even faster insolvency for the Ponzi Social Security scheme.

The Republicans could hit back, but the lame stream media will either not report what they say, or will say they’re lying just like they continue to say about the last election.

Seems to me that the democrats pulled the ''scare the elderly about SS'' a number of elections ago? Maybe they thought the ones who fell for their lies are dead and wouldn't remember. Problem for them is, a whole new generation of the elderly on SS right now and we remember the democrat lies.

Biden plans to "Save Social Security" by giving it to anyone who crosses the border..as soon as you arrive? You qualify. Claim a Disability? You qualify for SSDI. Broadened to include PTSD caused by even being in this racist, intolerant country...and the travails it took to get here.

As others have pointed out, this SS threat was dragged out at most every election from about 1970-2010. They're pretty desperate to bring that up again.
Any day now, Joe will be speaking to the NAACP or BLM and screaming, "The MAGA fascists wanna put y'all back in CHAINS!"

I thought that SS has nothing to do w/govt shutdowns, that sending the checks comes from something altogether different, and that a G shutdown would never affect SS , so this is a scare tactic 🙄

The Demonrat socialist Marxist’s are getting desperate!
SS is never going away, but in 2030 it’s only going to guarantee a 75% payout of benefits because it is going broke from all the IOU’s borrowed against its base source of funding.
They promise to pay it back, but the value of the printed dollars won’t be worth as much as the dollars taken out over the decades.
Imagine what the price of bananas were just a few years ago and what that same item costs today— the purchasing power of a dollar has gone WAY DIWN and those on a fixed income see the purchasing power of food, housing, and medicines get wiped out each month due to INFLATION.
Just fear monger if at election time! The more $$$ sent to Ukraine of given away to secure votes jus makes thing much worse!
Over 70% of Americans are now underwater going through savings and living from paycheck to paycheck. We are going to be on the hook for the over TWO MILLION illegal aliens so it’s only going to get worse unless we vote those who allow this OUT
