A Chick-Fil-A employee is being hailed as a hero after tackling a reported carjacker at the popular spot in Fort Walton Beach.

Deputies said Branch grabbed the keys from a woman with a baby outside of a Chick-Fil-A on Beal Parkway and got into her car.
Officials said the employee got involved when he heard the woman screaming. According to OCSO Branch was wielding a stick.
I heard only two weeks ago about a grandmother in New Orleans, Linda Frickey, 73, who was carjacked in March after taking a break from work to put something in her car. When the carjackers rushed the car and drove off, Frickey got tangled in the seatbelt and was dragged for one block as her clothes were being torn off.

In its latest story on Wednesday, the Times reported that the British taxpayers would front the bill of the funeral costs, which will reportedly cost more than $6 million.
The story labeled it a 'hefty price tag' amid rampant inflation in Britain, but readers were unamused by the article as they slammed the tone of the reporting regarding the late monarch of 70 years.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) sent two planeloads of migrants to Martha's Vinyard on Wednesday.
Video showing the arrival of the planes was obtained by Fox News, which also reported a statement from the governor's office. Roughly 50 migrants, including children, arrived at Martha’s Vineyard Airport in Massachusetts, according to the Martha's Vineyard Times.
The effort appears to be part of Republican states' efforts to bring increased attention to the migrant crisis, most notably seen by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), who has bused migrants to the Democratic-run cities of New York, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Wednesday blocked a Republican request to force railroad workers and companies to accept the recommendations of a nonpartisan panel to avoid a strike that would impact millions of Americans.
Sanders stood up on the floor to block the speedy approval of the resolution — introduced by Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committee ranking member Richard Burr (R-N.C.) and Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) — that would require railroad workers to adopt the outlines of a labor deal.
He argued that railroad companies are making huge profits and should start treating their workers more fairly.
