The Chamber of Commerce of Martha’s Vineyard said it was handling the “humanitarian crisis” on the island after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent planes carrying 50 illegal immigrants to the island. “To our Island community, here is an update on current humanitarian crisis on Martha’s Vineyard….we thank people for their continued help,” the island’s Chamber of Commerce tweeted.
A statement from the Dukes County Emergency Management Association included in the tweet said the island is providing “shelter, food, and care” to the illegal immigrants who arrived yesterday and that “a coalition of Vineyard towns, community-based, and nonprofit groups are assisting in this effort.”

Send them another thousand illegals so they can see what border states are dealing with every day.

A crisis when 50 illegals come to a liberal enclave. Not so much when thousands come to a border state. Liberals are hypocrites.

None of these multi-millionaires has an extra bedroom in their mansion? Come on, show a little heart. Just throw another steak on the grill. You wanted them, you got them, so enjoy them.

So, MV is overwhelmed by 50 illegals. Send them about 500 more, then.

For any sort of parity with Del Rio and Eagle Pass, send Martha's Vineyard hat least 25,000 and/or each state in the union should receive around 80,000 with no more than a week to prepare for and absorb them.

Obama has a place there with 7 bedrooms and 8 baths, he isn't using. Put some of them up there. He probably has a freezer full of steaks there too

Democrats talk the talk but they cannot walk the walk. These people are hypocrites of the first order. They are utterly deplorable. When faced with the consequences of their insane policies they collapse whining like toddlers. It would be a beautiful thing to witness if the stakes weren’t so high. The country deserves better than the garbage coming from these arrogant elites.

Cambridge Massachusetts would be a more appropriate destination to make the point.

So the self-aggrandizing virtue-signaling morally-superior elites of Martha's Vineyard can't handle 50 migrants in their sanctuary city. A real humanitarian crisis!

DeSantis and Abbott need to put shipping illegals to liberal enclaves and cities in terms that they can understand: In the interest of EQUITY and EQUALITY, we are making sure that EVERYONE IS GIVING THEIR FAIR SHARE OF SUPPORT to the poor migrants who are just seeking a better life and EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR OPPRESSED POC AND MINORITIES. As SANCTUARY CITIES AND STATES, your welcoming embrace and of these hopeful migrants (invaders), is the first step in their joining your community TO CREATE A MORE DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY WHERE PEOPLE OF ALL RACES, ETHNIC LIFESTYLES, ECONOMIC LIVING STIUATIONS ARE WELCOME TO LIVE AND THRIVE. Use the liberals own language against them!

Many estates in use sporadically could easily be used as housing. The newly arrived could immediately get employment as cooks, janitorial, gardeners (sure, they might displace earlier arrivals, but, them's the breaks.
Furthermore, The Beautiful People of the Vinyard boast of being humanitarians, so they can now really have actions to match their arrogant boasts.
I fear the Massachusetts legislature and RINO Guv are already virtue signaling, making sure these illegals are getting all the services most Americans pay for (and also pay for the beneficence of the government. Yes, it's the taxpayers struggling right now, who are paying the way of these invaders.
What needs to happen (other than the obvious, sealing the border and sending people home NOW) is for the nation to see the extent of the destruction ongoing at the borders.

Martha's Vineyard residents easily have many more empty bedrooms than 50. They could accommodate 1,000's more.

Why is it a crisis? It’s not like there aren’t plenty of hotel rooms available on the island, especially now that school is back in session. And all of those gazillionaires can certainly afford to feed 50 people. This is all about Not In My Back Yard and nothing more. Choke on it, Vineyard residents.
