Crushed: Brittney Griner’s Painful Reaction
After Devastating Guilty Verdict And Stiff Sentence

Original Article

In February, American basketball star Brittney Griner was arrested at a Moscow airport after attempting to bring cannabis oil into the country, which is illegal according to Russian law. In the almost six months since being apprehended, Griner has lingered in a less-than-comfortable prison cell. On Thursday, the legal proceedings of the case came to a close when a Russian court delivered a guilty verdict, followed by a harsh sentence of nine years behind bars. None of Thursday’s developments should have come as a surprise to anyone. As we’ve noted before, 99% of all Russian prosecutions end with a guilty verdict, and with a maximum available sentence of ten years,

Look at the bright side, Brittney, you won't have to listen to the Star Spangled Banner until 2031.

It’s beyond me how anyone could be dumb enough to bring an illegal substance into a country like Russia. Pure stupidity. In the meantime the last place I would ever want to be is dependent on Joe Biden.

"maybe it’s time to revisit some of that anti-Americanism of yours" And maybe pink, flying horses will swoop in and rescue her. Her arrogance got her into this. I doubt that will go away. It will probably just make her more angry. It won't go her any good in Russia. It will be interesting to she what her attitude is when she finally is freed.

Brittney, your time in the gulag will not be pleasant. Whatever you do, don't drop the soap and bend over in the shower. You best quickly identify which fellow inmates may protect you from most certain harm. Prepare for the torture, murder around you, and physical abuse. Try claiming to be a man because their life expectancy in the gulag is a bit longer. If you are lucky, you will be assigned to a prison that is controlled by the guards. If you are not lucky you will be assigned to a prison controlled by the russkie mafia. You still hate America?

One thing that seems to be forgotten in the whole episode is this-- There are OTHER AMericans being held prisoner in Russia who are being FORGOTTEN (btw, how about those STILL stuck in Afghanistan when the Vegetable bugged out) They are not famous basketball players who are lesbians and being viewed by the media as MORE DESERVING of swapping violent criminals, and deserve to be considered... And even though harsh by our standards.... heck, now SOROS -backed DAs they let criminals out instead of detaining them so they can commit EVEN MORE crimes.... Griner's punishment in all fairness DOES NOT meet the crime committed

It won't be pretty. The irony of this situation is not lost on anyone paying attention. Lame Duck has no choice in who he trades for Brittany. Putin will get what he asked for, the Arms Dealer and whomever else he wants. Lame Duck outsmarted again. No Joke.

As posters #26 wrote, she’s been employed by a Russian team and has been going there for several years and would’ve been well aware of their drug laws. However I’m guessing this isn’t her first time doing this. In the past she probably hasn’t been carefully searched and just assumed that would still be the case this time. She is grossly mistaken. Could Putin and his Russian henchman be using her as a pawn, possibly. But the bottom line is, is she broke their laws, pleaded guilty of those laws in their court, and therefore must serve the time she was sentenced to in their country, in their prison. Our media can whine and wail all it wants to. None of their propaganda can change those facts.

Griner didn't construct herself in her mother's womb. While I will never support anti-Americanism, I acknowledge I've made mistakes and I don't see the need for or the joy in making ugly comments about one's personal characteristics. Both Reagan and Trump were democrats, Trump as late as 2009. No one here would view Trump as being anti-American but the democrats in 2009, led by Obama, were not exactly pristine Americans. Perhaps Griner has learned a key life lesson about her country of birth. I certainly hope so. Before I enjoyed a 30 career in law enforcement, I spent a night in a county jail in Texas, a very transformative experience. Although I wasn't convicted of a criminal offense, owing to my arrest record, the agency that hired me took a big chance in doing so. I was determined to never give the leaders of that agency cause for regret. I also lost my right to engage in public stoning. As THE MAN said, "Let he who is without sin...."

Yes #15. Miss Griner has the correct hate America politics so the White House will spend whatever, do whatever to get her back home. She knows full well by now that she will be released soon as State Department gets the arrangements settled. The J6 political prisoners have received only persecution, Gulag physical treatment, isolation, rare medical treatment, isolation from family, bankruptcy, physical and mental cruelty from the same government. One of former President Donald Trump’s strongest and most endearing personality traits is his relentless sense of humor. He’s a very funny guy. Depending on the day’s events and available subject matter, a television interview can come across like a sitcom script, sprinkled amongst some profound takes on political topics, and rants at some of his rallies can rival those of some of today’s best stand-up comedians. We’ve had humorous presidents before, with Ronald Reagan quickly coming to mind, but none at the level of Trump. And despite the intense friction in today’s political climate and national tensions having been ratcheted to previously unseen levels after last week’s outrageous Mar-a-Lago Raid,

Is this the funniest comedy you’ll never see — because of cancel culture? In 2016, Jamie Foxx, 54, and Jeremy Piven, 57, started filming “All-Star Weekend,” a movie about two NBA-obsessed friends in Indiana. Piven’s character is Steph Curry’s biggest fan, while Foxx’s worships LeBron James. The pair win tickets to the NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles and on their way out west, they run into a cast of wacky characters and find themselves in a dangerous situation with their hoop idols. The premise and the cast, which includes Robert Downey Jr., Benicio del Toro, Gerard Butler and Eva Longoria, seem like a slam dunk.

One thing we must give Democrats credit for is their unity. Yes, certain members of the party such as Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) will occasionally diverge from the party line and oppose particularly radical pieces of legislation, but when it comes to big moments and key votes – on impeachment, for instance – Democrats circle the wagons. Contrarily, Republicans tend to fracture at the most inopportune moments, which is why it was refreshing to see virtual unanimity amongst the GOP after Monday’s outrageous raid on former President Donald Trump’s residence Mar-a-Lago. Almost all notable Republicans supported Trump after the ordeal; all except for one.

Less than a week ago, the tragedy of four brutal murders in New Mexico appeared to be a windfall for Democrats. It was a perfect, yet bloody, scenario for the party that doesn’t hesitate to try and exploit every and any tragedy that fits their larger narrative. And while we can’t be sure that any Democrats were actually happy about four men being dead, we know that internally they were thrilled about the circumstances. We could almost see them doing cartwheels in their heads as they discussed the matter. Muslims, of course, are included in the Democrats’ intersectional hierarchy of victimhood.

If politics and society mirror the natural world, then we might conclude that for every phenomenon there is a counter-phenomenon there to balance things out. In the context of our weekly tribute to stupidity, therefore, we would declare that for every knucklehead, there is an anti-knucklehead. That theory might not hold true in every instance, but it certainly holds true in this situation. Andrew Warren, an elected prosecutor in Hillsborough County Florida, inexplicably determined that he wasn’t merely elected to enforce the laws, he was there to write and adjudicate them as well. There’s an approach by Democrats to problem-solving that is becoming increasingly common, and it’s a tactic that focuses on our language. Rather than fixing problems, they instead attempt to either eliminate words from our daily lexicon or simply change the definition of the word. In March in the deep blue state of New Jersey, for instance, we saw the practice in action when state lawmakers eliminated the word “inmate” from their criminal code in favor of “incarcerated person.” We saw another example of it this week when the Biden Administration insisted on trying to redefine the term “recession.”

He’s also positioned himself as a Trump foil in the mid-term GOP primaries, taking a contrary position to the former president in several states, most recently in Arizona. For my part, I think Pence’s pursuit is delusional. There is exactly one person in the GOP who would be palatable to Trump voters if Trump himself weren’t the nominee, and his name is Ron DeSantis.

Today CDC Director Rochelle Walensky released a video to the agency’s 11,000 employees that was sharply critical of CDC’s covid performance: Dr. Rochelle P. Walensky, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, on Wednesday delivered a sweeping rebuke of her agency’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, saying it had failed to respond quickly enough and needed to be overhauled. “To be frank, we are responsible for some pretty dramatic, pretty public mistakes, from testing to data to communications,” she said in a video distributed to the agency’s roughly 11,000 employees. Dr. Walensky said the C.D.C.’s future depended on whether it could absorb the lessons of the last few years,

Elon Musk has warned Republicans to 'stay out of people's bedrooms' and be more supportive of migrants if they want to be electorally successful. The 51-year-old billionaire was speaking on Tuesday night at a gathering of Republican donors, hosted by John Nau - chairman and CEO of Silver Eagle Beverages, one of the largest Anheuser-Busch distributors in the nation. Musk was invited by Kevin McCarthy, the House minority leader, whose constituency encompasses the Bakersfield, California location of SpaceX. Musk and McCarthy held what was billed as 'a fireside chat' for the audience, which took place close to where the state's sole US representative Liz Cheney was losing her seat

Fox News host Laura Ingraham recently said Americans might be ready “to turn the page” on President Trump as he decides whether to run for president a third time. Ingraham said the following during an appearance on Lisa Boothe’s podcast. "The country I think is so exhausted. They’re exhausted by the battle, the constant battle, that they may believe that, well, maybe it’s time to turn the page if we can get someone who has all Trump’s policies, who’s not Trump.”

Since the outset of the global monkeypox outbreak in May, public health and infectious disease experts have told the public that the virus is largely transmitting through skin-to-skin contact, in particular during sex between men. Now, however, an expanding cadre of experts has come to believe that sex between men itself — both anal as well as oral intercourse — is likely the main driver of global monkeypox transmission. The skin contact that comes with sex, these experts say, is probably much less of a risk factor.

It’s astonishing how, by the time we normal folk first hear of a new Globalist Socialist initiative, it turns out there’s already a significant amount of infrastructure in place. Take eating bugs, for example. Did you know that there are currently sizable cricket farms in many parts of the world, including Canada and the United States? Or that cricket flour is already used in some foods? For example, Entomo Farms in Canada currently produces a weekly harvest of 50 million crickets, which it mills into 9,000 pounds of “protein.” The owners plan to triple production within a year. Some of the “cricket flour” goes into pet foods, while some

The Democrat strategist behind Bill Clinton's successful 1992 presidential campaign said Wednesday that the FBI's unannounced search of Donald Trump's property is 'the biggest story since' the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. 'Ragin' Cajun' James Carville predicted that the raid of Mar-a-Lago would become a 'very tricky' issue for Republican lawmakers if the Justice Department's investigation of Trump uncovers illegal acts. 'The problem the Republican Party has is, they got really stupid people that vote in their primaries,' Carville told The Hill TV. 'Really stupid people demand to have really stupid leaders.

Grab the popcorn, America, stuff just got really interesting. Top aides of former President Donald Trump have suspected from the beginning that the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago came after Trump was fingered by someone in his inner circle. As reported by The Guardian, both Trump and his aides now believe a family member may have tipped off the FBI about the exact location of classified documents — in a specific leather-bound box, along with the location of Trump’s safe. In another report that couldn’t sound more Nixonesque, Trump is allegedly becoming more and more paranoid, to the point of suspecting that even his wife Melania could be a possible FBI mole. Other family-member suspects include

Dr. Mehmet Oz, who earned former President Donald Trump’s primary-race endorsement in April, is going down in flames according to a new GOP poll. Republican-affiliated Public Opinion Strategies reports that surgeon-turned-TV-host Dr. Oz trails Democrat John Fetterman by nearly 20 points. Trump gave Oz his “complete and total endorsement” before the wide-open GOP primary of six candidates, a move that probably sealed the deal with Pennsylvania Republicans. The doc won in a squeaker, barely beating out second-place finisher David McCormick, 31.2% to 31.1%. The former president praised Oz’s positions on abortion, crime, the Second Amendment, border security, the military, education, energy independence
