Increasing The IRS Annual Budget By Seven
Times Doesn’t Add Up

Original Article

Posted By: Imright, 8/6/2022 5:35:51 AM

The talk in the media is about a “beefed-up” IRS. The IRS budget for FY 2022 totals nearly $14 billion ($11.9 billion in appropriated funds) with a full-time equivalent (FTE) staff ceiling of 79,808 (75,533 from appropriated funding.) Now, the Democrat-controlled Congress, at the behest of the Biden Administration, wants to take that up an additional almost $80 billion, with 1% going to Department of the Treasury offices other than the IRS. That adds up to nearly $93 billion, seven times this year’s budget. SEVEN TIMES.

With the IRS new Gestapo powers, don't forget the IRS has approved the purchase of 5500 weapons and 500 million rounds of ammo. Why do a bunch of accountants need such firepower? How long before an "Accountant" pulls out his weapon on a citizen?

Adding a bunch of "wokesters" to the Federal payroll won't make the IRS more efficient, they'll just be able to cancel the student loan debt of a bunch more young morons who have ZERO understanding of American Tax Law, much less Personal Finance. Our CPA deals with IRS agents on occassion and says they're way out of their league with the overworked "old guard" retiring in droves. Buckle up, it's going to be a wild ride.

It is going to be a very tight budget for the IRS after the midterm elections because the House of Representatives holds the purse strings. Their next budget is going to see some very strong shifts in priorities. Defund the Gestapo. Appropriated funding can be rescinded by congress. The increased staff explains why the IRS has been hoarding munitions for years now.

The IRS can't process this years tax returns as millions of unprocessed returns sit in processing centers across the US. How about modernizing how returns are processed or simplify the tax code to a flat tax of 10%. The Fed shouldn't be any better than tithing to a religious institution.

It sure don't add up. 87,000 more auditors would be 1,740 per state. But it is worse, as they will be concentrated in the larger state, and concentrated in the larger cities. So Texas would get about 5,000 more auditors, and in 5 major cities, that would be 1,000 or more hitting Houston. And they won't be targeting big business, who have armies of accountants and lawyers. They will be targeting individuals and small business. And what is the justification, other that harassment. None, as the vast majority of returns are supported by 1099's, W-2's, and other crosschecks, such as reasonable deduction percentages, making it unnecessary to audit most returns. This new Democrat bill reeks of stench.

Already EVERY month sets new records in the amount of Tax Collected, they are bragging that their new "Deficit reduction Bill" will reduce deficits by $100billion over ten years...ten years of NOT having 87,000 new IRS agents would reduce it by nearly $1Trillion.

If you contribute to the Marxist's enemies (conservatives) - you get an audit. If you are the NRA - you get audited every year until you go broke. There is a "deep state" of government bureaucrats who regularly disrupt the commander in chief's plans, former President Donald Trump said in a recent interview. (snip) Trump was a notable and telling exemption from the group that President Joe Biden’s administration had provided a heads-up to. After cagier responses on the matter following the initial reporting on the terrorists death, the National Security Council admitted Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama had been notified.
