Late night sea change? Colbert blasts
Biden over Saudi trip -- and age

Has Joe Biden become so unpopular that late-night comics might actually move away from their clapter production and start being funny again? Bill Maher made this transition months ago, but the rest of the late-night comics have been as loathe to target Biden for pointed political jokes as they were with Barack Obama. Or so it has seemed, anyway; late-night TV comedy has been pointless for well over a decade as it went from being funny to being didactic. However, it appears that Joe Biden’s infamous fist-bump with Mohammed Bin Salman shook loose some ancient instincts on CBS’ Late Night.

Colbert and his ilk just want someone younger, coherent, with more energy to accelerate the destruction of America.

Gutfeld has been quite funny lately. Either i am getting adapted to his humor or he is getting funnier. As for bidet, he’s been bad for the brand which is bad for their designs on power and money and so he’s got to go. The guy just unsettles The Gullibes. The rest of us find him contemptible and incompetent and incontinent and venal and despicable.

Nope not at all, no sea change. They just looking to blame it on the boat and resume the journey on the same sea. That's why Biden was picked to begin with so the disastrous results can be blamed on the senile old bungling fool and not the policies. They just didn't do it right.......again.

The Great Realignment: Woke, white progressives

It’s being called the Great Realignment. Allahpundit mentioned it yesterday at the end of this post. In short, the most recent NY Times polls shows that Democrats have more support among college-educated whites than they do among minorities. In a piece about this phenomenon for Axios, Josh Kraushaar writes:Shifts in the demographics of the two parties’ supporters — taking place before our eyes — are arguably the biggest political story of our time… Democrats are statistically tied with Republicans among Hispanics on the generic congressional ballot, according to a New York Times-Siena College poll out this week. Dems held a 47-point edge with Hispanics during the 2018 midterms…

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released two reports Wednesday morning that confirm the fiscal incompetence of the Biden administration and its confederates on Capitol Hill. The BLS reported that the Consumer Price Index rose yet again in June: “Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased 9.1 percent before seasonal adjustment.” The BLS also released its Real Earnings Summary: “Real average hourly earnings decreased 3.6 percent, seasonally adjusted, from June 2021 to June 2022.”

Elon Musk and Twitter may be stuck with each other — and that could change the trajectory of the long-running battle over speech on the platform. After Musk pulled out of his deal to buy Twitter, Angelo Carusone, president of progressive watchdog Media Matters for America, hailed it as a step back from a “dark future” where the platform acts as a “supercharged engine of radicalization.” Donald Trump Jr., writing on his father’s Truth Social app, declared there is “zero chance of free thought or speech” on Twitter going forward.

Hunter’s iPhone has been the source of the most prurient interest since 4Chan users this weekend began releasing data reportedly hacked from the backup stored on his Laptop from Hell.Presidentish Joe Biden’s son’s phone was apparently loaded with sex, drugs, and… FBI cyber specialists? Among Hunter Biden’s contacts is the FBI’s Cyber Division Section Chief Michael Harrington.Did you catch Hunter’s note at the bottom? “Only contact if absolutely necessary.” By his own admission, Biden lost not one but three laptops during his various crack binges, so I’m guessing that “absolutely necessary” might have come more often than anyone would have guessed. The Democrats badly need to consolidate their 2020 gains in Georgia. Their tiny majority in the U.S. Senate may well stand or fall based on the fate of Sen. Raphael Warnock’s reelection bid. Moreover, they want Stacey Abrams in the Governor’s Mansion because they need to control how the Peach State’s election integrity law is enforced in 2024. Considering her frequent denunciations of the statute, strict adherence to its provisions would hardly be her top priority as Governor. It appears unlikely, however, that Georgia’s voters intend to entrust her with that responsibility.

In a surprise move, Netflix quietly released a “speech” on Friday delivered by comedian Dave Chappelle at his high school alma mater, Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. The speech is forty minutes in length and time well spent for Chappelle’s audience. The speech/special is titled “What’s in a Name?” The reason for Chappelle’s speech that turned into a Netflix special was the re-naming of the school’s theatre. Chappelle was to be honored by the school. His name was supposed to be on the theatre but all that changed after a much-publicized meltdown by students at the high school over the choice of honoring Chappelle.

Rats, sinking ships, some disassembly may be — but apparently isn’t — required. ABC’s Rick Klein notices today what has become apparent over the last couple of months but especially after the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision. Democrats have begun to make Joe Biden the focus of their public complaints, and they’re doing that increasingly on the record. Put that together with a recent exodus of talent at the White House, especially in the comms shop, and it paints a picture of collapse: It’s coming from the left as well as the center — from safe Democrats and those who are anything but.

For many readers, the above title will conjure up memories of the 2008 housing crash caused by the proliferation of subprime mortgages and the subsequent tsunami of defaults. But a better corollary for the coming Biden bust is the Carter crash that occurred three decades earlier. During the final two years of Carter’s term, sales of existing and new homes collapsed because the Fed was forced to raise interest rates sharply to get double-digit inflation under control. This, in turn, produced double-digit mortgage rates that priced millions of potential buyers out of the market.

Amid the nationwide crime crisis that has arisen out of woke Democrat policies and the so-called "progressive prosecutor" movement, Philadelphia has been especially hard-hit — and its mayor is apparently tired of leading and looking forward to being out of office after overseeing the city's record-setting crime spike. On Independence Day, two law enforcement officers were hit with gunfire at Philly's July Fourth festivities from an unknown suspect or suspects — authorities are still trying to identify those responsible and determine their motive. Thankfully, both officers were discharged after being treated for their wounds.

On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Beat,” Senate Majority Whip Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) responded to Sen. Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) inflation concerns on climate legislation by stating that climate is “an emergency” that “We have to do everything that we can” about, and this is “more important than any current economic statistics” like inflation. Host Ari Melber asked, “Is the global macro inflation a reason not to do something on climate right now? How do you work with your colleague there when sometimes his reasons don’t really match what’s happening?”

President Joe Biden called climate change an “emergency” during a Wednesday speech and vowed to use executive powers to bypass Congressional Republicans opposed to his sweeping agenda. “Since Congress is not acting as it should, and these guys here are, but we’re not getting any Republican votes, this is an emergency,” Biden said from the podium in Somerset, Mass., apparently gesturing at Democrats around him. The president stopped short of issuing a national climate emergency, but said he would use executive powers to address the issue. “As president I’ll use my executive powers to combat climate crisis in the absence of Congressional action,” Biden added.

Long-time political strategist Dick Morris, formerly of the Clinton camp before coming to the light some years ago, penned a piece for Newsmax yesterday that predicted a 2016 rematch pitting twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton against former president – and America’s most popular politician – Donald Trump. Clinton just can’t give it a rest. She has rested her entire legacy on one day sitting in the Oval Office as this nation’s first female president. Of course, her party can’t define the term “woman” anymore, and then there’s the fact that she hates this country and most of the deplorables living in it.

We've been saying for months now that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is not likely to retain her seat when facing Harriet Hageman, a primary challenger backed by former President Donald Trump. What polls there have been indicate as much, as does CNN's Harry Enten. On Friday, what looks to be the most comprehensive poll yet was released, and it shows Cheney going down. The poll comes from the Casper-Star Tribune and was conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy. Hageman has 52 percent support, while Rep. Cheney has 30 percent. No other candidate has more than 5 percent. Just 11 percent are undecided.

Elisjsha Dicken, the 22-year-old who saved countless lives on Sunday after neutralizing a mass shooter with his handgun, is by all sane measures a true hero in a country that desperately needs one. But since his heroic actions contradict the carefully-cultivated left-wing narrative, a number of prominent voices have immediately risen up to demonize the young man. Case in point: the majority of the hosts on ABC’s “The View,” whose considered opinion is that Dicken just got “very lucky,” and was probably as bad as the mass shooter since he “broke the law” when he carried his gun into the mall. It all started, naturally, with co-host Joy Behar,

As the United States continues to come to grips with the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, I cannot stop thinking about how the court used a legal system built entirely by men to diminish women — once again — into nothing more than a vessel for producing babies. I am a rabbi in a legal system that excluded women for thousands of years, much like the legal system that the Supreme Court relied on in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. But unlike the American legal system, the Jewish tradition, in certain respects, including abortion, found a way to craft laws grounded in equal dignity for women.

In the past fifty years, we’ve had precisely ten different First Ladies in America. Some of them spent their time in the White House mostly under the radar, with Rosalynn Carter and both Laura and Barbara Bush falling into this category. Others such as Nancy Reagan with her fondness for astronomy and Betty Ford with her personal challenges were somewhat quirkier, but they were likeable and mostly unremarkable. Both Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama could be outspoken and controversial, but at least they were mostly clever and competent. And then we have Jill Biden. The adage “opposites attract” may be true in some cases,
