President Joe Biden called climate change an “emergency” during a Wednesday speech and vowed to use executive powers to bypass Congressional Republicans opposed to his sweeping agenda.
“Since Congress is not acting as it should, and these guys here are, but we’re not getting any Republican votes, this is an emergency,” Biden said from the podium in Somerset, Mass., apparently gesturing at Democrats around him. The president stopped short of issuing a national climate emergency, but said he would use executive powers to address the issue.
“As president I’ll use my executive powers to combat climate crisis in the absence of Congressional action,” Biden added.

The Democrats are diabolically clever. They know Joe is crazy, and they know that everybody knows Joe is crazy. So they have calculated that Joe can in fact do crazy things that are clearly unconstitutional and everyone will just shrug and go, "well, that's just Joe doing crazy stuff"... Pretty much like everyone's already been doing with $5 gas and $10 loaf of bread.
Genius. Evil, but genius.

There is one thing and one thing only that determines how hot or cold we are here on earth. And that is the sun. our sun is a yellow dwarf star. It will go through cycles of getting hotter and colder in a few billion years it will burn itself out and collapse. There is precious little we can do about the amount of heat the sun puts out.
Poopy Pants is a fool who probably couldn't name our 8 planets let alone understand the complexities of climate and the power of our sun.

I cannot help but wonder if The Gullibles will ever notice that there’s no “there” there.
Politicians and the media are just acting excited in order to make The Gullibles believe there is something to get excited about. “After all, why would they shout “fire” if there isn’t a fire?” The Gullibles “think.”
Answer: for money and power and to get away with something. The same reasons as always.

There is NO CLIMATE EMERGENCY.
There is indeed a CLIMATE HOAX, perpetrated since Earth Day 1970, and originally Global Cooling.
The changes to global average temperature since WWII, which ushered in widespread petroleum usage and CO2 generation, have been minor and minuscule, and not anthropogenic. The earth’s atmosphere currently contains ~440 ppm of CO2, but has hit 1500 ppm in ages past due to volcanic action, yet here we are.
Global Warming is based on computer models that do not take into account the single largest greenhouse gas—water vapor— that is many times greater than CO2, and have been CONSISTENTLY WRONG. They cannot even predict the ACTUAL CLIMATE as recorded in the past.

The devil is in the details. Check out where the proposed wind power projects are?? Not DELAWARE , so that his beach is not affected.
"Biden administration will consider potential wind power projects in the Gulf of Mexico, which are being proposed off the coast of Galveston, Texas, and off the coast of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The White House estimates that the projects have the potential to power over three million homes with "clean energy."
Biden is also directing the Secretary of the Interior to "advance clean energy development" off the coasts of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina to ensure that "these southeast states will be able to benefit from good-paying jobs in the burgeoning offshore wind industry."

Any true emergency demands immediate mitigating action. This does not mean action in 2 years or 3 years but immediate action. I am all for emergency action like a complete ban on all private airplane travel and on government air travel including the president. Also include that AC must be set to 86 degrees and all lights must be turned off at 9pm. Go ahead and do Joe. I'd like to see the death of your party.

And, yet I read the following today. Note they state a 11-year cycle, which means a known pattern.
Makes you wonder if the record high temperatures are correlated to this solar flare event.
A NASA forecast has predicted that a ‘snake-like’ solar flare is set to hit the Earth today (July 19).
As.com reports that the NASA forecast model created by the scientist Tamitha Skov said the solar storm thankfully isn't expeced to cause a lot of impact on the blue planet.
The ‘snake’ shaped filament is expected to ‘directly hit’ the Earth at some point in the next few hours and Skov said the solar storm could cause ‘minor’ disruptions to GPS and radio.
The scientist added that auroras are also expected to be present due to the flare.
So you might want to head out to catch a glimpse of this spectacular view if you're close enough to the North or South Pole.
However, according to the website SpaceWeather, the solar storm might also hit later in the next two days.
Skov also posted a follow-up tweet: "The long snake-like filament cartwheeled its way off the Sun in a stunning ballet.
"The magnetic orientation of this Earth-directed solar storm is going to be tough to predict. G2-level (possibly G3) conditions may occur if the magnetic field of this storm is oriented southward!"
The origin of the storm comes from a coronal mass ejection - the release of plasma and magnetic energy, which had broken away from the Sun on July 15, according to The Independent.
The eruptions are said to have the power of releasing 100,000 times more energy than power plants generate in one year.
Related video:
Astrophotographer Dr Sebastian Voltmer, who has been tracking the storm, told SpaceWeather: “The sheer size of the prominence is impressive.
“It was spectacular to see a very fast moving part of it ejecting and detaching to the side.”
These solar storms are part of the Sun’s 11-year-long cycle, which increases the frequency of solar eruptions hurling towards Earth towards the end of this period.
Earlier this year, residents of Montana witnessed first-hand the impact of these storms as they caused remnants of a Russian rocket booster to fall out of orbit rapidly, according to GBR.
The American Meteor Society documented around 29 reports of fiery objects as they cast over the sky of the western state.
However, this very well could be the first of many reports.

If Brandon declares an emergency, it should be brought before the SCOTUS. Congress failing to agree is NOT an emergency. This type of legislation has been ratting around for decades without sufficient support. Now it is an emergency? Nope. This kind of overreach has happened in the past and the court tossed it out. With the court we have I don't think Brandon has a prayer. THAT is the only reason he is hesitating. If the court slaps him down, he will look even weaker and whinier.
This isn't about whether the climate issue is important, although it isn't. It is about following proper Constitutional procedure to pass laws.

Since 'Climate Emergency' is not a real emergency, you have to look at the actual reason for this executive action. The powers allowed a president once a national emergency is declared are staggering! More than 100 special provisions become available to him including reallocation of funding. It also gives him an internet kill switch which is frightening. Biden will be able to set aside many of the legal limits on his authority which is why dems are clamoring for this. I think that is where the real issues will be coming from in the VERY near future. And look out for the economy to take severe hits.

“Since Congress is not acting as it should, and these guys here are, but we’re not getting any Republican votes, this is an emergency,”
A very telling sentence. Note what Biden actually says here. The Climate is not the emergency, the lack of republican voted is the emergency.
Congress is not acting as it should? The Executive branch has no constitutional authority to even have an opinion on whether congress is "acting as it should". The executive branch has even LESS constitutional authority to "fix" how congress is acting. Just because the opposition party does not agree with your opinion does not give you the authority to ursurp legislative authority. The constitutional function of the executive order (currently often ignored) was to act quickly in the case of emergency while congress was not in session and to only enjoy such authority until such time as Congress can ropen in session. It is not a tool for the executive to overide congressional authority. COngress is in session, eny environmental emergency can be properly dealt with by thier deliberations and the powers bestowed upon them by the constitution and by the people. Not getting any republican (or democrat) votes is not a national emergency.

#16, I heard Dementia Jo say he had cancer, but he speaks so sloppily, sometimes almost as bad as his VP, I was doubting myself.
Jo also spun some lies about Scranton. The Bidens left Scranton around 1951, and Jo said his father was a coal miner, and his grandfather was a mining engineer. Jo said they all left Scranton because the coal industry died.
Scranton had anthracite coal deposits, which are in seams that are narrow, and can come right up close to the surface. Anthracite mining died out in 1959, when one of the coal mining companies, mining a seam, actually broke through the bed of the susquehanna river, and the river flooded out 40 miles of anthracite mines, all illegally connected together.
So at minimum, Jo lied about his father being a miner, maybe about his grandfather, and the reason for leaving Scranton.

Instead of giving a bs speech, why has Biden not just swung into action with an emergency declaration? Just because the opposite political party does not agree with the President’s opposing political agenda is not a valid reason under the US Constitution for that President to move ahead administratively, bypassing the Congress, and declaring what the laws shall be! That used to be how foreign dictators and the banana republics used to operate.

If Congress had any fortitude, it would revoke the laws that granted the POTUS “emergency powers.” There is no grant of power to the president in the Constitution any powers to declare emergencies over whatever the executive branch considered an emergency to be. It is absurd, just as this attempt to control the universe is absurd.
