The author of this article is either totally clueless on the first ladies or is trying to con us. Either way, I don't buy. Jill shares creepy vileness with her husband.

Practicing adult abuse for the perks of being the First Lady (and a cut of the Big Guy's money pay off) and f - ing over Americans is not a good look. He at least has Alzheimer's/dementia (even though he has always been creepy) to fall back on she is just awful for what she is doing. When she butts in and leads him away saying they must go - disgusting person.

The author credits Jill with a Ph.D. What she has is an Ed.D, about as low as there is on the degree totem pole. Consequently there is nothing to read here. Move on.

Her doctorate is an EdD not a PhD, the second of which is a much more rigorous course of study. I know it sounds picky, but the authors need to ge their facts right. When they don’t, they come across as stupid.

The writer lost me when he failed to even mention Melania Trump and said Jill had a PhD. She has an EdD, a somewhat lower ahievement which she further dumbed down with a pathetic “thesis”. She is no asset.

One more time, one more explanation of doctoral degrees- Jill does not have a Ph.D. She has an Ed.D., which is inferior to the Ph.D. To make matters worse, Jill has a recently invented academic major of 'Higher Education Leadership. It is a lousy major, invented for people who could not cut it in traditional academic programs. Earning a Ph.D. is a grueling process, requiring complete mastery of a subject area. Qualifying exams, in most programs, must be taken and passed after 30 semester hours of coursework, and those who fail (a majority, in programs I am aware of) are given a terminal Master's degree, and sent on their way. The survivors must then complete 30 additional semester hours of doctoral level course work (I had to complete 45 hours) are subjected to three full days of written doctoral examinations, spread over a 5 day period, and then the student must sit for a formal meeting with his or her dissertation committee. The egos of the dissertation committee come into play, and the student is appropriately humiliated, as necessary. If the student makes it past the orals with his or her dissertation committee, and the student is declared a doctoral candidate, the next step is the doctoral dissertation, which must be composed of original research. And a integrity of a doctoral dissertation can be challenged forever! When the dissertation is completed, with guidance from committee members, the student then must make a formal defense, in an open arena. Committee members fight with each other on bits of their academic specialties, there might be questions from the audience, and in the end, the dissertation is usually successfully defended, and the student is transformed into Doctor. Jill Biden didn't go through hardly any of that. She has a joke doctorate, which is offensive to each of us who earned an authentic one. I won't explain this process again.

Judging by the name “Jordan,” I’m inferring the author is very (VERY) young and recently educated at a Government Indoctrination School. He needs a good editor/proofreader, and fact checker/checkette (HT El Rushbo) before he writes again. I stopped when I read about PIAPS and Big Mike. Above posters have covered the main points.

lakerman1, have you read her dissertation. It has a mis-spelling in the first paragraph. How could any legitimate panel miss that? Because no one read it. She was awarded her Ed.D simply because she had a Mrs from a Senator with budgetary power.

Many thanks to # 8 and his thorough explanation. I was about to embark on something similar, but it is just too hot even inside with AC. His fabulous description of the suffering that students have to endure for their Ph.D. I would just like to ask /suggest the question, how much does an Ed.D. cost in her neighborhood? Those who have examined her 'thesis' claim she used 5 or 6 sources and just lifted a lot out of those papers. When I hear this dame talk, she sounds more like a supermarket bagging lady than someone who drove by a university. I understand that shortly after receiving her degree the university got a huge check from China...... Lifting, plagiarizing, China....hm, sounds totally like the Bidet!

Nobody elected Doctor Jill to anything (Joe either as far as that goes) she's just the baggage.

Why anyone would care if a 1st Lady has tanking popularity numbers is a bit mystifying to me. But Trump was right. If he had been an orthodox Leftist, the press would've made Melania bigger than Jackie O.

Re: #8 - Having done two courses of study concurrently, earning a dual PhD, I can vouch for your excellent summary. In my case, I still don’t feel as if I’ve learned enough about the subjects of my interest but have no further interest in returning to the classroom and I find the whole world of on-line education to be suspect in terms of rigor. On the other hand, I learned the most important things before starting college from reading yellowed paperbacks written by Louis L’Amour.

#13, I read the thing that Jill submitted as her dissertation. As a term paper from an undergraduate student, I would give it a C-. The University of Delaware seems to lack quality control in its graduate studies. At my university, there was a final hurdle to receiving my doctorate that I did not include in my narrative. The Dean of Graduate Studies and Research had final approval authority on dissertations. I had to conform to graduate school specifications - and the graduate dean or his assistant was notoriously picky about everything written. The University of Delaware must not have such a person. And the members of Jill' doctoral dissertation committee should be ashamed of themselves. Any faculty member who signed off on Jill's piece of dreck should be banished from academia.

Authors and editors need to do their research. "Doctor" Jill has an Ed.D, not a PhD, which is higher up the doctoral food chain, and need only be referred to as "Doctor" in a professional setting. Let's not forget, too, that Joe essentially strong-armed the university to get her the degree and that her dissertation was a joke.

First of all my hat’s off to you #8 with your excellent summation of the PhD process. A good friend of mine recently earned hers and she had a time. Jill has the same degree as Bill Cosby and I may not be the most learned person but when I read her thesis even I was like what drivel is this. Also I read that Creepy Joe helped her get it by bribing the University of Delaware. We have such a classy FLOTUS now don’t we. Also the no mention of Melania Trump and calling Clinton and Obama clever and competent leaves me knowing what a fool the author is.
